Shoe obsessed….

I am shoe obsessed. A shoeaholic some might say. I LOVE SHOES! Those who know me in ‘real life’ know that with each new season brings a new range of fashion and footwear for me; well the desire for them at least. I am always on the lookout for shoe and accessory sales and while on the hunt for a new cafe with my husband last week I stumbled upon a store I didn’t even realise was there – it must have opened up recently. Ziera. It had a gorgeous yellow handbag in the window that caught my eye and before you ask, of course I poked my head in and had a look around. Laid out before me were a selection of crisp boots calling my feet. {Recipe} Bread Pudding Pancakes

A favourite weekend breakfast for both kids and adults in our home is our Bread Pudding Pancakes. I love this recipe because you can easily add and alter the ingredients to suit your personal tastes, enjoy it at any time of the day and the kids love helping to make it!! Bread Pudding Pancakes Ingredients: 12x slices of white bread (sliced into 2cm squares) 2 ¾ cups milk 3 eggs 1 ¼ cups self-raising flour (sifted) 3 tablespoons brown sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vegetable oil 2 tablespoons butter Instructions: 1. Slice bread into 2cm squares. 2. Soak bread in the milk for approx. 10 minutes (until it softens). 3. In a small bowl mix flour, sugar, salt. You can do this while you are waiting for the bread to soak. 4. Gently fold the flour mixture into the bread. Add eggs and vegetable oil. 5. Gently mix. 6….

Adventure Sketchers brings art to life

Trying to find interactive games that are educational and fun is often a hard task to accomplish; add in the fact that you want it for a 5 year old and you want them to love it adds another dimension of difficulty. I’m pretty impressed with myself because I have done it! I found a LeapFrog game called Adventure Sketchers for my sons LeapPad, it is innovative and brings their art to life. The kids love that it is interactive and they can record phrases that play in the game and then there is the pictures they create that appear while they are playing. This is great for on-the-go or if you need 5 minutes quiet and the kids won’t even realise you are benefiting from it (they’ll think you are great for letting them play).  If you are looking for a game that entertains, encourages imagination, story telling and promotes learning…
