]]>My daughter is now 6 weeks old and unlike her older brothers and sisters, loves to be swaddled. My other three children couldn’t stand being wrapped up tight or swaddled and would kick the wrap off and cry until they were freed from being swaddled.
My new little miss on the other hand, loves being swaddled, just as much as being free to kick around. She likes to move her hands though so traditional swaddling doesn’t work. This is why we adore the Love To Dream Swaddle UP Summer Lite so much. I find that because she can still move her arms, she settles herself by sucking her hands or rubbing her face. The fact her hands are secured in the Swaddle UP also prevents her from scratching her face during the night. The fabric is light which is perfect for summer as the material breathes which keeps her cool. The fabric is extremely soft to touch making it ideal for fresh, new and sensitive skin.
The arms and hands are positioned in an infants natural resting place which makes them comfortable but still allows them to be snuggly swaddled. My daughter is a great sleeper, she only tends to wake once a night for a feed and I think the Swaddle UP plays a large part in her sleeping so well.
Nappy changes are easy as well, thanks to the two-way zip. If your bub is easily woken, these zips will assist you in checking and changing their nappy with minimal disturbances.

]]>Babies love to be swaddled and wrapped up tight, right? Well if your children are anything like mine, you will know all too well that some simply cannot stand their movements being restrained. My first three children despised being wrapped up and their arms being tucked in, whereas my newborn (currently three weeks old) doesn’t mind it either way.
As a result of the older children not liking swaddles, we adapted to the use of baby sleeping bags from almost day one. Some are better than others, some have better features than others but I can say with all honesty; I am absolutely adoring the Love To Dream Nuzzlin Sleep Bag.
It is light and unbelievably soft, which is a must on sensitive baby skin. Created with a new generation muslin, it is 100% cotton knitted fabric and is extra comfortable thanks to the amount of stretch in the fabric.
I love the extra long zipper because it allows nappy changes during the night even easier as you don’t need to remove the Love To Dream Nuzzlin Sleep Bag, simply unzip and change. If that wasn’t benefit enough, we all know that new babies can be prone to throwing up regularly which is why I love that it can be machine washed. Due to the sleep bag opening flat, you can hang it on the line and it will be dry in a matter of minutes!
The Love To Dream Nuzzlin Sleep Bag is so simple to use. Lay the bag flat, place baby on top, fold shoulder strap over and clip it, zip it up all the way and it is done! The zip has a cover over the handle as well so you don’t have to fear your baby getting scratched.

]]>Every baby is different. Some love to be swaddled whilst others prefer to be able to move freely. I have experienced both of these from my children when they were born.
My eldest preferred to be wrapped nice and snug, my second liked to be loosely wrapped and my daughter despised having anything around her from birth. I wonder what baby number four will be like. As I said, each baby is different!

I was sent a newborn set by Goumi Kids that includes 1 pair of Goumi mitts, 1 pair of Goumi boots and 1 Goumi hat. They are the most adorable and practical baby accessories I have seen in a long time. They are easy to put on and most importantly they stay on. The fabric is 70% viscose (bamboo derived) / 30% organic cotton blend and 100% cotton for prints which makes them extremely soft and great for both your baby and the environment.
I love that these baby accessories are reversible because it means you can mix and match depending on your babies outfit or mood if you need a bit of a colour pop in your day. Did I mention they are washing machine and dryer safe? This is a must for us and I’m sure we aren’t alone. The newborn sets are available in 3 different prints: Diamond Dots (Cream), Leaves (Pink) and Sketch (Blue) and they are all as gorgeous as one another. If you are only wanting to purchase mittens, booties or a hat you can do this as they are also sold individually. ]]>I have recently ordered some clothing from Merino Baby online for my daughter in preparation of autumn and winter next year. Yes I’m aware I’m getting in very early however in my defence they were so cute I couldn’t say no! I ordered a few items in a size 2 because I was thinking ahead for her sizing in the year coming, this is why the pics below of Poppet in her Merino Baby clothes look a little big. I was half expecting they were going to be thicker material but I think this is because I automatically put wool, itchy and thick fluff together. This is not the case with Merino Baby clothes and wraps. The range of natural clothing is designed to provide superior comfort and thanks to the premium ultra-fine wool there is no scratching or itching on babies and toddlers skin.
The fabric is extremely soft but durable enough that it is machine washable, which is a must in our house as I don’t have time to hand wash clothes. I was impressed that even though Merino Baby clothes are soft to touch; they are breathable, anti-static and hold their shape after being washed. The odour resistance textile is temperature regulated allowing them to be warm in winter and cool summer, making them a perfect all year clothing option. If I had known that they were cool enough for summer I would have gotten the size 1 so she could enjoy them now. The sizes available range from 000-2.
Dress – $49.95
This long sleeved dress features mother of pearl buttons and the fabric allows for easy movement. It sits well on my daughter (even though I ordered a size too big) and is a very versatile dress. I looks cute on its own but can also be paired with tights or a cardigan over it. The Merino Baby Dress is available in 7 colours so there is something to suit every little girl. I choose the navy one so I could layer it in winter without having too much trouble trying to match colours.
Cardigans – $39.95
Poppet looks great in red so it was an easy choice what colour to get this cardigan in. That and I thought it would match the navy dress perfectly. Like all Merino Baby clothes the fabric is extremely soft on skin and is available in sizes 0-2. This cardigan is perfect for both boys and girls as there are 7 gorgeous colours to choose from. When Poppet wears this cardigan she reminds me of the girls in Grease. Too cute!
Hoodies – $49.95
I love this hoodie. Like the dress and cardigan above, this hooded top features mother of pearl buttons that finish the look perfectly. I got the pink striped hoodie for Poppet and she loves it! The fabric is soft and she loves the feel of it, she rubs it on her face. Designed to suit boys and girls this Merino Baby hoodie will have your little one comfortable and looking stylish. It is available in 7 gorgeous colours and sizes 0-2.
Wrap – $64.95
This wrap is beautiful beyond describing words. I got this for my sister who is pregnant with her first baby but after seeing it in person I am contemplating keeping it as a pram blanket for Poppet because it is just so elegant. It is 100% Merino wool fabric, making it soft and perfect for swaddling a new baby. This would make a wonderful gift for new parents and it is a practical size at 80x80cm; it is big enough to be used as a wrap, pram/bassinet or tummy time blanket. ]]>Finding the right shoes for kids is tough. The argument whether to put shoes on a baby or not is always there. Hard soles, soft soles or no shoes at all? Then of course it starts again once your toddler walks. I’m just happy that my kids wear shoes! When my boys were little they started walking at 7 & 8 months and we couldn’t find any shoes that fit and were still light enough for them to walk in, besides mock crocs. Not very attractive shoes but they did the job. When my daughter came along I was on the scout for shoes as soon as she was born because I didn’t want to risk leaving it until the minute like I did with B1 and B2, unfortunately it didn’t really make a difference. When I stumbled upon Little Bossy Boots on Instagram last month I was in lust. How had I not found these sooner?!

Little Bossy Boots moccasins are handmade in Melbourne and features an elastic opening that make it really easy to put shoes on and take them off. This is especially handy if your child is a wriggler. I highly recommend these baby moccasins because they are well made, adorable and offer a wide range of colours and styles which make them the perfect accessory for both boys and girls.
