Big Miracle {Review} + GIVEAWAY

22/09/2012 By All Mum Said 31 Comments

I am a self confessed movie buff – everything from horror, action, comedy, romance (or otherwise known as chic flicks), drama to family and kids films. Let’s just face it they are as much for us as they are for the kids these days.

I have been watching on repeat for the past 2 weeks now a movie that will hit the shelves on September 26th2012.  I was fortunate enough to be asked to review Big Miracle and thanks to Universal Sony Pictures I have x5 to giveaway as well. This movie has an amazing cast – Drew Barrymore, John Krasinski, Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, Dermot Mulroney and Vanessa Shaw.
Now more about the movie itself! It is a heart warming story about how the rescue attempt of a family of gray whales that get trapped in the Alaskan ice and how it united the world, different cultures, countries and people. This drama is based on an incredible true story that moved millions around the world. It involves everyone from reporters/journalists, green peace, natives, Russians, Americans and the oil companies.  There are quite a few very touching scenes in this movie that are so passionate and sweet, yet sad.  I loved this movie from start to finish and recommend it to all families. It is PG rated so the whole family can enjoy the amazing rescue adventure film of the year ~ Big Miracle!

An octopus- because I would have enough arms to cuddle and do all the housework. I could even do both at once lol.

I would be a giraffe, tower above everyone…far from what life is like now at only 5ft tall, even my 12yr old daughter is taller than me!

I think I would be a grizzly bear, because I could eat all the fish I want for free, (and no one would mess with me!)

I’d choose to be my childrens guinea pig (called Tickles). Oh to be hand fed all day whilst being cuddled. That’s the life.

I would be any animal that swims in the ocean. Large or small. To have the freedom to swim in the warm (or cold) blue seas without a care. Floaty through the waves.

I’d be an elephant. While I would NOT like the extended pregnancy, I do love how all the females care for the ‘little’ ones.

I might be a cat with 9 lives, making up for all the silly mistakes in previous lives and strive to leave a legacy at the end.

I would like to be an elephant (without the weight) because of their communal spirit and bond, nomadic lifestyle, thick skin, and excellent memory.

I’d be a bear who hibernates over winter, has cubs and doesn’t even know it, wakes up to find them a few months old and happily feeding themselves.
