Dettol is something I always have in my home and I’m sure most other families are the same. I use it often for many different things. I mop the floors with it when someone has the flu, I have a bubble bath with a good amount of Dettol in it as it makes me feel better when I’m sick or for the kids if they’ve come of their bikes and grazed themselves and of course I use just prior to putting on bandaids. One thing I never thought of buying is Dettol cleaning products. I don’t know why it never crossed my mind as it is obviously good for cleaning/killing germs and I already use the Dettol soap and hand sanitiser.
When I heard that Dettol had a new cleaning rang I wanted to give it go as it is a trusted brand and with a new baby in the house I don’t want too many germs getting around. Some are good but with 2 school aged boys it’s like having giant germs on legs. I have been using two different Dettol products for the past couple of weeks; the Power & Pure Multi Purpose spray and the Dettol Power & Pure Multi Purpose Kitchen wipes. Both of these products work great and make cleaning easier by cutting through grease, soap scum and dirt. I love that I can use these products on practically everything in my home and there is no need to rinse it clean after wiping. I did find that with the disposable Dettol wipes if you push/scrub harder it makes lots of bubbles which initially I wasn’t a fan of but then I realised it means I get more use out of the wipe as the cleaning liquid goes further. The same goes for the spray – a little spray goes a long way.

I really hate cleaning the windows of the house, due to only being 5ft tall and not being able to reach the top, I am always left with a dirty strip across the top which annoys me!
Cleaning the guinea pig’s cage! Of course it was promised that would never happen and here we are 3 years later and its still my job…lucky I love him so much ( the pig that is ) LOL

I have 3 little boys who can’t aim or won’t aim for the middle of the toilet so my most hated cleaning job is cleaning the toilet, around the toilet, the wall of the toilet and behind the toilet. It’s amazing how messy a toilet can get with boys around. I have even started taking all 3 with me when I clean it to show how disgusting it really is but that hasn’t worked because disgusting things are the best ever things for little boys. I caught my 5 year old showing off the toilet seat and telling a friend how many germs there were. I definitely need help with the toilet.
I absolutely loath cleaning the bottom of the showers, not just the build up of grime, slime, soap and products but the skin hole with smelly, long pieces of hair…UGH!!!
I loathe cleaning the oven, which is why I can’t even see through the glass on the door anymore. I keep putting it off, but it’s VERY overdue! Once it’s clean, I think I’ll stop using it to save making it dirty again! YAY, no more cooking!
Oh the shower. I detest having to clean it almost as much as I hate Ironing.
If I could have a Ryan Gosling look alike scrub my shower …now that would add some enjoyment to shower cleaning and i might even get in there with him to lend a hand.
That shower recess just haunts my sleep

Cleaning the glass doors and windows always frustrates me! It takes so long and not long afterwards grubby marks appear again
Probably the shower screens – they always seem to be full of soap scum and it takes a LOT of scrubbing to get them nice and clean – only to be dirty again the next day
I hate Cleaning the Shower so when I was Pregnant I told the Husband the Chemicals were too Harsh for me and he has Done it every Since 😉
Mopping! It’s tedious! I try to avoid it and the evidence shows on my little crawlers knees
One of my children collects everything! They might very well be on one of those Hoarder shows in the future. Respecting their privacy and trying to cleaning their room is a a delicate balance. Oh and I’ve tried the you need to clean your room thing, yeah, that does not work with someone who wants to keep everything. Even expired bus tickets used on an excursion!

I beg hubby to scrub and clean,

I loathe doing shower scrub. The soap scum seems to stick on it and it’s REALLY hard to remove it.
I despise vacuuming! We have a rug that is so hard to vacuum, it takes me forever to get it clean. But with a messy 16 month old vacuuming is something I need to do every week.
Swear by Dettol and the 2 things I hate doing are cleaning out the drains in the wet areas and needing to administer to a wound from a family member
The cleaning job I despise the most is defrosting the chest freezer. I am short with a bit of a tummy which means I am in constant danger of falling in head first whil trying to get the ice out of the bottom and wiping it out. Then there is the numbing cold. Brrr.
I hate the bathroom. Toothpaste smears and spatters on the mirror, water dripped everywhere, soap scum and my long hair that escapes the hair brush onto the floor and benches. Make it go away please!!
Cleaning the oven, all the manky, greasy build up is plain disgusting. I hate it for the filthy job that it is. Maybe if I stopped cooking I could omit this all together?? 😉
Cleaning the car! Can not stand it. Hosing and sponging the outside can be fun and sort of relaxing, but doing the windows, trying to get them streak free (when NO products are as streak free as they claim to be), the all the bits of fluff that reappear in an instant straight after using the armor all, not to mention trying to vac all the bits of grit and sand (where it comes from I do not know) from all the nooks and crannies in ones vehicle. Not for me, loathe it.
It’s scrubbing walls I despise,
But fresh marks appear before my eyes,
Tedious and tiring to clean,
Unmarked walls are rarely seen,
So maybe cleaning them is unwise?

As we have two crazy pupppies who love to bring things inside and decorate the house. Dettol comes in very handy!

Ironing! I don’t wear anything that requires ironing unless I am running out of clean clothes.
Cleaning the oven, because it’s often got weird, black, greasy stuff in it that’s less unidentifiable than any mess you’d ever find in a toilet.
I hate cleaning the kitchen, every day no matter what I say, there is crap all over the benches, it takes forever to get rid of enough stuff to even start cleaning! And don’t even get me started on the washing up, I am our dishwasher, I am free so am well used! Hate it!
I’d take ANY cleaning job over the cleaning of the vomit bucket. We had gastro sweep through our house a few weeks ago and two kids don’t use the toilet, but they’ll use the bucket. Yay, you say, at least it’s not the floor. Sure, that’s true, but I still have to take said bucket to the toilet, tip the contents into the toilet, add some water to swirl to get those stray bits, tip again and then take it to the laundry sink to clean. Now this is the best part, seriously it is, because it gets that awful vomit smell out of my nose. I fill with some hot water, add some sweet smelling Dettol, swish, swirl, swish, swirl and rinse; then it’s right to go for the next round.
The cupboard under the bathroom sinck because thats where all my skeltons are hidden! lol

Cleaning the shower because, quite frankly, it’s not cleaned often enough and never looks good.
Cleaning the shower is my least favorite chore, dishes are next followed by walls and floors.
All of it, I am always too busy to do it properly, and so I wizz around the main areas and hope that no one notices that I am been lazy. Ok I’ll admit that it isn’t because I am too busy, I just HATE housework:-)

Exit molding, the smell makes me dizzy the thought of germs building up and growing makes me blah! And I am left cleaning it.
Mopping the floor, daily task which drives me crazy! It’s so hard to keep the floor clean, because once my little one gets up, he starts to ruin my work. Juice or milk drops, biscuit crumbs. It is getting warmer and warmer, cockroach and ants become more active and they love having a feast on my floor, but I DON’T LOVE them

Everything I buy secondhand gets the once over with dettol. The kids also use it to sterilize their earrings overnight.

I hate cleaning the toilet, with three boys at home you can imagine what it can smell like….I’m not putting my head near that, and my arms aren’t 10ft long.
The litter tray for the pet everyone wanted and would help out with. Seems Im the cleaning lady of the litter too. Its awful and makes me feel icky afterward but it wont clean itself!

The showers will be the death of me. I despise having to clean them and all the corner grout. It is time consuming and hard work scrubbing only to have to do itagain the next week! Why oh why did we think it was a good idea to have more than one shower in our house?
Folding fitted sheets are a real puzzle to me – I dread the time, the frustration and the end result which resembles a scrunched ball rather than a nice flat rectangle!

Dettol is great for everything, cleaning, in the wash whatever you want and it makes your house smell so so clean. Will always use it.
I often have to change my beautiful daughters bed linen daily : shes incontinent and at 18 years of age theres alot of soiling , bed linen , washing , folding , remaking , smells etc that goes with it : she has a plastic hospital mattress with which I wipe down with Dettol , so as too get rid of the germs and smells it works well for me.
I hate cleaning the top of my fridge. It not only collects the dust, but has a greasy film on from being near the stove, so I get greasy, sticky dust!! Yukky!!
Our Bathroom sink has been blocked for years. No matter how many times we get plumbers out to fix it, its blocked again a few weeks later. I hate cleaning it out, its stinks and my husband trims his beard over it all the time!!! GROSS!!

Dettol is simply the best. I have been using dettol for over 40 years.
I hate cleaning windows … I just can’t get it right! Only streaks ;-( My husband is a good window washer but he is not always available to do it.
