I know technology such as the computer, phone or TV definitely affect how easily I fall asleep (unless I’m that tired that nothing could keep me awake) so I believe the same applies to them. The older they get, the easier it is to get them to go to bed and fall asleep, so this is especially helpful with my youngest who’s 2. She doesn’t just “go to bed and stay put” if asked; she’ll kick up a fuss and bounce around with more energy than she’s had all day! Being quiet and turning all distracting and exciting devices off really makes a difference. If I’m watching TV in bed with her, she can take up to an hour to fall asleep. Without the TV on, it’s usually minutes. ]]> By: Maria http://allmumsaid.com.au/dreambaby-night-light-review-giveaway/#comment-156498 Wed, 01 Jul 2015 04:46:44 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=7481#comment-156498 I think routine is very important when it comes to bed time. Bath, dinner, maybe a little bit of TV, teeth, a little reading and then zzzzzs. ]]> By: Lisa Jene http://allmumsaid.com.au/dreambaby-night-light-review-giveaway/#comment-156474 Mon, 29 Jun 2015 12:56:24 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=7481#comment-156474 Consistency is my key. Routines are set and not changed, not even for holidays. Teeth, quiet time, reading time, snuggles and lights out. And I try to anticipate all excuses to get out of bed: water on the bedside table, Monster Zapper spray out (my lavender/chamomile mix). ]]> By: Kim http://allmumsaid.com.au/dreambaby-night-light-review-giveaway/#comment-156461 Mon, 29 Jun 2015 06:06:22 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=7481#comment-156461 A little bit of Nirvana usually works for me! And a cute little night light of course. Also helps me to see in the dark too 🙂 ]]> By: connie http://allmumsaid.com.au/dreambaby-night-light-review-giveaway/#comment-156451 Sun, 28 Jun 2015 21:33:37 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=7481#comment-156451 my nearly 3 year old is going through a difficult phase where she keeps getting up out of bed she has a nightlight but this might work more effectively to keep her in bed ]]> By: Deborah http://allmumsaid.com.au/dreambaby-night-light-review-giveaway/#comment-156444 Sun, 28 Jun 2015 04:52:22 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=7481#comment-156444 Bedtime is quite time settle down and read a book ]]> By: Kylie T http://allmumsaid.com.au/dreambaby-night-light-review-giveaway/#comment-156442 Sat, 27 Jun 2015 21:38:44 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=7481#comment-156442 We made a wonderful bedtime recording and on this tape is all of the family singing our favourite nursery rhymes together; played nightly as a treasured tradition this evokes beautifully heartfelt memories filled with happiness and joy. Add the intrinsic sparkle of a delicate night light for a goodnight’s sleep which leaves everyone at peace, safe, sound and embracing the picturesque enchantment of ‘dreamland’. ]]> By: Natalie Murnane http://allmumsaid.com.au/dreambaby-night-light-review-giveaway/#comment-156435 Sat, 27 Jun 2015 03:27:36 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=7481#comment-156435 I climb in their bed and lay next to each of them and read them any book they want… which comes after dad reads them a book in the lounge… or 2 or 3 some days and for school holidays the eldest at 7 can stay up as long as he wants as long as he is reading to his brother and sister. ]]> By: Di http://allmumsaid.com.au/dreambaby-night-light-review-giveaway/#comment-156428 Fri, 26 Jun 2015 10:13:14 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=7481#comment-156428 Remove the dreaded boogey man, put on a show, check the cupboards, look under the bed & behind the curtains, filling them with the comfort of reassurance. This way they’ll go to bed and sleep with sweet dreams, not the nightmares that have them screaming the house down during the night. Oh and leave the door ajar a little so the light from the hallway comes in. ]]>
