The most recent one being when they discovered sanitary pads; yep now you know it’s going to be good! It all started with the sound of mischievous laughter coming inside my bathroom. I walked in to discover that they got a kick out of sticking the pads all over the walls, shower screen and each other. They were discussing through giggles what the awesome sticky things were and came to the conclusion they were nappies. I told them they were not nappies but that sometimes mummy gets ‘sick’ and they help her get better. They are only 3 & 5 so I thought this was the most appropriate answer to give them at this point. They wouldn’t understand anything more than that and let’s face it anything more than that would have them scared shitless!
What have your kids done or said to embarrass you lately?
Oh that is funny!! My daughter decided to sing to I’m a little tea pot tune replacing the words with poo at the top of her voice in Woolies – embarrassing!
hahaha kids – aren’t they grand? My kids do that with songs but thankfully they have limited it the home (so far anyway)! Thanks Eleise for sharing your embarrassing story

Uh-oh Mortification! Last summer we saw an elderly lady who appeared to be in her 80’s leaving the public conveniences. My eldest daughter (aged 4 at the time) said very loudly – “are those toilets for really old ladies like that one?”. Oh dear God. Fortunately the woman had a sense of humor and laughed about it.
hahaha thank godness for old ladies with a sense of humour!! My encounter was not as lucky – the man just looked at me in shock (I swear he was torn between looking at me in pitty and laughing)
So funny! The other day when I was dropping by boys off at daycare my daycare provider said to the kids, it smells like someone pooped in here or someone has really bad gas. My nearly two-year old, said clear as day, “mommy does.” I burst out laughing and so did she. Atleast it was with someone I know! Kids are hilarious!
hahahaha I reckon the kids do things like this on purpose!! Then they wonder why when they are teenagers parents try to embarrass them.
Oh dear, that’s funny! I had my daughter pull out a whole box of tampons from my bag at the checkout and proceed to put them (still wrapped) in her mouth, declaring they were her “lollies”. Hmmm.

I can’t remember any which either means I’m getting old and losing my memory or I’ve chosen to forget them as they were too embarrassing!
Geez how lucky are you! I can never forget the times my kids have embarrassed me – they have all been beauties!!
OMG – you poor thing. I cringe sometimes when my daughter starts talking to friends about things i might have done but i’ve never been put on the spot like that. Hope the bloke turned a blind eye so to speak.
Yeah it was pretty bad. The guy didn’t know what to do – it was a very awkard wait!
My little one recently discovered a box of tampons and opened one to be disappointed with the boring lollies! EWWWW!

Yep, I have 2 and 4 year old boys and my eldest thinks they are nappies as well! I figure he probably doesn’t need to know the truth about that just yet. LOL.
hahaha yes and the questions only get worse as they get older. My boys are now 7 and 5, I got the ‘how do babies get inside your belly?’ He got an honest but vague answer, that should keep him going for another 6 months. Lol
So many things I can’t remember – but now they are 20 and nearly 18 I’ve been able to get lots of revenge 😉
