Size, obviously. (Don’t mean to be cheeky but I have seen kids swimming in too-big clothes or squished into little straight-jackets.) After that, washability. A friend of mine received a super-soft alpaca cardigan from her grandmother, obviously hand-knitted. Absolutely adorable. Used once, it received the full baby treatment and needed hand-washing. Just didn’t happen. The baby should receive the attention; not the clothes! ]]>
