Gyprock Sensitive Renovators Giveaway
The warmer months are the perfect time to get those DIY projects out of the ‘gonna do’ box and put them into action. Whether this is extending a room in your home, building the kids a cubby house or getting stuck into those gardens; now is the time!
Unfortunately for some, asthma and allergies can make not only renovating a struggle but the products used in the home can also have long lasting effects. This is made evidently clear when Australians spend 90% of their time indoors.
As a result of popular reality renovation shows like House Rules and The Block, DIY has become an extremely popular activity for Australians, including first timers.
Why use Gyprock Sensitive?
Not everyone can afford to upgrade to a larger home when their family extends, which is why they often opt to invest in renovations to expand their living quarters. It is more affordable and achieves exactly what they want!
Not many people realise the link between building products to their allergies and asthma playing up; but it is a huge environmental factor that can now be easily minimised. With the release of Gyprock Sensitive, a hypoallergenic plasterboard that is mould resistant (thanks to its powerful anti-fungal agent throughout its core) families now have a smarter, safer choice.
For house-proud Australians that want only the best for their family; Gyprock Sensitive is the perfect fit. It is the first (and only!) residential plasterboard to be approved by the National Asthma Council Australia’s Sensitive Choice program as a better choice for asthma and allergy suffers.

Three years and still in a state of renovation, I would like to walk into just one room (even the laundry) and not have to use my imagination.
Create a nursery for my baby boy
A beautiful room for his cot and toys
Wallpaper, paint and a handmade toy box
Give him a room with the lot!
We’re going give a go at creating a wood divider between the lounge and passageway. I just hope it turns out looking semi-pro instead of a disaster!
I am going be re-painting the whole house in about one month from now. There are a couple of holes in the walls and some wear and tear in the children’s doors that need to be filled in. The Renovators Dream Starter Pack with all the quality Gyprock products would be just perfect for this project I have to accomplish.
Painting, at the moment its all shades of disaster
Bathroom and ensuite, been putting them off for far too long.
To re-do my great Nan’s enormous wardrobe. It’s solid wood, enormous and sooooo heavy. Have to sort out how I’m going to get it downstairs so I can sand it.
Sanding back the paint from my timber windows and giving them a fresh coat.
Our whole house is a work in progress, so it’s been hard deciding on what to start next. Getting our garden sorted, planting a vegie & herb garden is something I’d love to achieve this summer, along with extending our deck so we have more room for a bbq and out door dining table set, great for when we have our friends over.
Completing the back deck. It was supposed to be ready for Christmas lunch but I fear we may be eating inside this year!!
Nearly 12mths ago we purchased our first home(a very old one)……my dream was to do it up, room by room but sadly our plans come crashing down once we were made redundent 3mths ago. Sadly none of our dream’s have fallen in place. Winning the prize will help kickstart at least one vision and that vision would have to be to redo the walls & paint our Lounge room as it is the entrance to our house and needs a major pick me up as the wall colour is a Browny/Yellow colour and is just Gross(i wish I could share a picture of the colour). It dosnt match my Black, Grey & Aqua theme that I had always planned for!!
To build an outdoor bbq area that will be under our patio area, so a kind of second kitchen area.
The laundry tub and the big gaping hole behind it.
It’s a huge one. We are currently owner-building our new house.
We are replacing 40year old paneling and discovering it just bricks underneath, so need to plaster all the walls too now, having asthmatics we have to be careful what we use
i would love to finish up a started renovation on our back room for our daughter so she didn’t have to share with her brother any longer, we ran out of money as my hubby was retrenched from his job, so it remains half finished
I am so close to finishing this kitchen I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel! Its been a 6 year work in progress and a hiccup with an IVF miracle smack bang in the middle! This would be a dream come true! So many financial road bumps!
The playroom.
This perfect pack would make me a fan,
to convert the back shed, the asbestos can,
into my little boys adventure playroom,
full of trucks and cars, V-room, v-room
It will have a tiled floor,
and be set up for fun galore.
And because of Gyprock it’ll have the safest walls,
I reckon it’ll be ready by the time my 3 month old crawls.
Asbestos vs Gyprock sensitive plasterboard for free.
Seems like a no-brainer to me.
Congrats! You’ve won.
We’ll be moving home soon to look after Mum and my special needs brother but I want to first make a sound proof music room so my work won’t bother anyone!
My husband and I are planning on building a cupboard and shelving unit around our hot water system.
we are getting environmentally friendly and putting down artificial lawn
I want to mosaic the old coffee table to give it a new lease on life.
Our house is constantly in a state similar to that of a disaster zone, as we move from renovating one room to another! But what a boring life it would be without renovating! And we would probably miss living in a disaster zone; Not! 😉
Our newly purchased “open plan” home needs a quiet study zone,
The wall frame is up, space is divided,
French doors are chosen, the plan is decided.
This fabulous Gyprock renovators pack is now the only thing that we lack!
We are starting an extension in the new year (a new loungeroom woohoo), AND we are converting our old loungeroom to a 3rd bedroom with built ins (you seriously dont realise how excited i am to have more cupboard space as being an old house it really really lacks storage and we have crap everywhere for all to see and it makes the house look so messy – plus will be totally amazing to have overall more space and a house that actually flows and works well) – builders will be doing the structural work and we are doing some of the internal work ourselves to save money (ie. gyprocking, painting including repainting the whole house as it is long overdue as now the kids wont hopefully draw on walls anymore lol ) – so this is fate and my destiny and we would definitely be able to use this for our renovations
AND maybe, just maybe the kids will pick up their toys and pack them away with all our new storage space (this mumma can dream lol ) and if not then i can hide their toys in the top shelf of the built in wardrobes ha ha
We are building a toy room/play area for the kids, one with extra space for sleep overs and it will lead to our new undercover, fenced off outdoor area with play equipment. Slowly getting there, but hubby has been working hard
Bathroom to install safety features for mum as she is struggling on her own.
To re-build our family room after a huge white ant/termite infestation. We are pulling the lot down next week. It’s been treated in 2015 – but last week we found more in the now collapsed cupboard in the adjoining shed! Does the kit come with echidna ? !
Patching several holes on walls
Borderline personality disorder, she’s done it before!
Love my teen daughter, but she has a temper that’s hard to dampen…
Gyprock’s magic ensures we can forget her boo boo ever happened
My next project will be helping my dad renovate his kitchen/dining room. I absolutely love DIY and renovating so I figured he has always helped me out so now would be a good time for me to help him! His kitchen has been in a state of disrepair for the past few years as he was caring for his mum (my grandma) who suffered from macular degeneration and was legally blind. He was unable to change the layout of the house as she was familiar with everything there and therefore wouldn’t of been able to find her way around. After she passed away he unfortunately is yet to get around to renovating so I’ve offered to help out and this pack would be a huge help! I like that the gyprock has come up with this awesome product as my dad is a chronic asthmatic so this will be one less thing for him to worry about in regards to allergens etc…
We are turning our garage into a bedroom as our family has outgrown our house. We are unable to upgrade to a bigger house due to some reasons out of our control which is ok considering our house is in an awesome street with a great outlook and fantastic neighbour’s. we have been renovating our house for 2 years after moving back from interstate because the renters that were living here had trashed our home. We still have so much to do, the gyprock from where fists have gone through walls have only been patched, the kitchen and bathroom, the floorboards need sanding and refinishing. I swear I heard my house sigh with relief when we moved back in xx
