Soft smooth wrinkle free skin is what most women desire. The sad truth is that we all age and our faces tell our story of stress, personal struggles, sadness and of course our joy and happiness.
Those wrinkles share with the world how we have felt. Unfortunately some of these lines we would prefer not to have and as a result we are always on the lookout for a skincare product that is going to help keep our skin in the best condition it can be.
I have recently began to notice a few fine lines around my eyes and creases on my forehead (I will blame these on pulling crazing faces with the kids) but for whatever they have decided to stick around, I am not a huge fan of them. It is for this reason that I have begun to take my skin regime more seriously.
For the past 2 months I have been using some Luminesce skincare products from Jeunesse. I have previously seen ads and YouTube videos on one of the products in particular and I had always been sceptical because it claimed to rid you skin of wrinkles in minutes without the need of Botox. So I thought I would share with you my review on the range.
LUMINESCE Cellular Rejuvenation Serum

This is my favourite of the products I’m sharing with you today because even after my very first time applying it my skin felt more revived. I have been using this twice a day (morning and night) and the changes in my skin have been phenomenal. It is softer to touch and looks more youthful! I am not going to complain about that.
I have been using this after the face cleanser (see below) and before the moisturisers so I’m sure they all play their part.
*A little of this goes a long way so don’t waste it!
LUMINESCE Advanced Night Repair

This night cream is a little bit heavy which I wasn’t a fan of initially but after a few nights I woke with silky soft skin. It is obviously soaking in while I sleep and correcting skin damage causes throughout the day by the sun. When showering in the morning you can feel the remaining wash off leaving it feeling soft and smooth.
*This comes with a handy little applicator. There is nothing worse than trying to put on moisturiser and it getting stuck under your finger nails, this eliminates my pet peeve. I love it!
LUMINESCE Essential Body Renewal

I must admit I haven’t used this as much as the other products but that is not because it lacks the same quality, I simply forget to do it. When I have used it though, it soaks into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave an oily film like many others I have tried in the past. My skin is left hydrated and fresh. The body lotion has been specially formulated to boost collagen and improve skin elasticity.
Use this after your shower when pores are open for maximum benefits.
*I love the lid on this lotion, it twists open so you can squeeze some out and close it shut without having to clip and unclip. Very sleek!
LUMINESCE Youth Restoring Cleanser

I use this cleanser on my face, neck and décolletage while in the shower and have been impressed since the first time I used it. My skin has been left clean, clear and refreshed after each use which surprised me because cleansers I have used in the past have resulted in a slight tingle of the skin but this one doesn’t. It is gentle but works and a little bit goes a long way.
*The lid is the same as the body lotion. Great for the shower because no water will leak into it.
LUMINESCE Daily Moisturising Complex

I use this after cleansing and applying the rejuvenation serum. This adds moisture to my skin while being light and absorbing quickly which assists in minimising fine lines on my face. I love that this contains sunscreen so I don’t have to apply it separately.
I find I need to use a little more of this than the other products but it does do a great job of moisturising my skin.
*This bottle has a pump dispenser on it for easy use.
LUMINESCE Instantly Ageless – Sachets

This is the product I previously mentioned that I was sceptical about but I can honestly say I am impressed. Within two minutes of applying Instantly AgelessTM the areas were wrinkle free. By simply dabbing this cream onto target areas, it quickly and effectively lifts and tightens skin.
When I first used it I found that it left residue on my skin so you could see I had applied it however the next time I thought I would try a different approach. Next I applied it after using the serum and moisturiser, I got a completely different result. It dabbed on smooth, there was no residue and to my surprise there was no wrinkles either.
This is a definite winner for those who have wrinkles but don’t want to get Botox to eliminate them. My lines are only fine so I don’t really feel like I have to use this product but curiosity got the better of me and I had to know if it worked. It does.

I cannot rate these products highly enough and would without hesitation purchase these when my current supply runs out. My skin is radiant, glowing and looks more youthful than it has in months.
For more information on the LUMINESCE range from Jeunesse check out SkinStyle.com.au.
Disclosure: I received these products for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.

Keeping active with young kids is difficult. Difficult but not impossible!
We hear every day that it is important to stay healthy, keep active and look after your health but for some families it is not as easy as just going off and doing it. Sometimes parents need to get creative with the ways they incorporate fitness into their daily regime.

Keeping fit as a family is a great way to encourage and instill a healthy lifestyle for your children now and in the future. Try these easy to achieve activities to stay active and include your kids.
Whether you are big sport fans or not, by going down to your local sporting oval and kicking the football or soccer ball around is a way to burn off extra energy. Throwing the Frisbee is another great choice because it is also a lot of fun and requires bursts of running, leaping and stretching.
Get out of the house and explore your surroundings. If you are lucky enough to have National Parks or walking tracks nearby (click the link for information in your state or territory), these are a great way to introduce fitness with the great outdoors to your children. They can learn about nature while embarking on adventures in different terrains and be able to enjoy amazing views once they arrive!
Swimming is not only a crucial life skill, it is also a great option for fitness. The water allows you to feel lighter but also provides resistance when swimming laps or having races with the kids.
Also playing games like Marco Polo, Water Volleyball, Gladiator shoulder rides, mermaid races and diving comps are a great way to have fun while working those muscles.

These activities don’t cost a sent because you already have the gear.
• Trampolining – the jumping and bouncing provides your body a full workout while having fun.
• Cricket – If your backyard isn’t large enough the local sports oval will be just fine.
• Totem tennis – It encourages hand eye coordination and works your arm muscles.
• Skipping – Having skipping challenges with the kids a great way to get them involved.
• Weights – I’m not talking about gym weights, use the kids. Lift them up, hold them and then lower. Repeat. Repeat and repeat. Workout for you and fun for them!
Who doesn’t love to dance? Dancing not only relieves stress but it also gets your blood pumping and works up a sweat. Add in some well-known exercise moves like lunges and burpees and you have yourself a 3 minute workout!
These days it isn’t uncommon to see workout stations at a children’s playground. This is because parents want to be able to keep fit while they have young children and these stations make it possible. The benefit to these are that parents can watch and talk to their children while they are moving and exercising. It is the best of both worlds for mums/dads and kids.
While this is not everyone’s cup of tea, for some it is the perfect start to the day. As a result, there are becoming an increasing amount of family sessions where both parents and children can enjoy the benefits for these classes. There are several health insurance providers that offer these types of classes as an extras option on certain policies. Click here to find out more!

Your health is crucial and while it can be difficult to work out or be as active as you would like, it isn’t impossible. By implementing the suggestions above, you can encourage your children to get active with you and promote a healthy way of life.

Are you tired? Run-down? It is time to listen to your body and do something for you!
Mums are busy. There is no denying that fact. Regardless whether they are stay-at-home mums, work-at-home mums or full time working out of the house mum; we are all busy and we all put our family’s needs before our own.
After endless days of work, nappies, cleaning and cooking; time poor parents yearn for ‘me time’. Unfortunately it is often hindered by the fact there are not enough hours in the day or no one to mind the kids so you can enjoy it. Well good news – there are easy ways to improve your health and self-care options for busy mums that include the kids. Here is how you can introduce some self-care into your life with minimal effort!
This is an obvious one however many women think they need to go to the gym to exercise and since they have no time or cannot afford a membership, don’t bother. This is not 100% right.
Exercise can be done in so many different ways.
• Go for a walk or run – get the blood pumping, burn some energy and get some vitamin D. Your whole body benefits from it.
• Do a park bench workout while your kids are playing.
• Dance – even just around the house while doing your usual chores.
• Gym – if this is an option for you many gyms offer a crèche service so you can work out without having to worry about your kids. *Private health funds also cover some gym membership costs.
A healthy diet is crucial in taking care of yourself. The best part about eating well is that your whole family can do it. You should enjoy the food you put in your body though so if you like the occasional chocolate or soft drink, have it. Just keep in mind that they are a ‘sometimes’ food.
No one functions well on minimal sleep. This is why it is so important to get a consistent 6-8 hours of sleep every night. Parents struggle with this when they have young children and have to cope with countless nights of broken sleep but when possible get an early night so you can start the day as fresh as possible.
Life isn’t always easy, sometimes it can be tougher than tough. This is why instead of stressing over things beyond your control, you need to just accept the way the situation has unfolded and take each day as it comes. Stress is not good for a person, particularly a parent because children sense the mood.
This also means that you should stop comparing yourself to others. By comparing your life, your appearance, your kids and even your job to another person, you are creating doubt and destroying your confidence. Be who you are and be happy within!
Mums (and dads) are constantly saying yes. Yes to weekend sports, yes to driving kids to friends’ houses, yes to hosting sleepovers and yes to taking on that extra shift at work. It is time to be selfish and say no! You don’t have to become an unsocial person but it is ok to put yourself first and say no to everyone else once in a while.
Crank the music and dance. Sing as loud as you can. Music relaxes you and puts a smile on your face. It makes the most mundane activities bearable.
Enjoy letting your body get loose and work up a sweat while doing it! Exercise, endorphins and happiness.
Everyone needs a break from time to time and it is perfectly acceptable that you actually do it. Whether it be 5 minutes to enjoy a HOT cup of coffee, going to see a movie or sitting under a tree with a book; sometimes you NEED that break more than you realise. Not to mention it is a break from being touched, parents of young children will know exactly what I’m talking about!

Taking time out of your busy life to look after yourself is crucial for your family and you. It puts your day into perspective, revitalises your mood and is beneficial to your health.
Private health funds offer a wide range of benefits that allows you peace of mind and the freedom to take care of yourself. See how you can benefit here.

]]>It’s time to put your health first, improve your wellbeing and get back on track!
We all lead busy lives and often put our health on the back burner. Unfortunately after a while this just becomes a way of life and it needs to change. NOW! Improve your health with these easy steps.

There is not any one way to improve your body’s health and fitness, there are thousands, millions even. Here are five easy steps to implement this change:
We all know exercise is good for us but many think they are too time poor to do it. A simple walk in the sunshine will do amazing things for your health. The fresh air, the endorphins and being active have benefits that exceed just physical health, it assists with keeping mentally strong as well. This is a common choice of exercise for many however others prefer faster paced workouts like the gym, boot camp or alternative exercise programs.
Going to sleep at the same time each night and getting a decent number of hours rest allows your body to recharge and start the day on the right foot. When your sleep patterns are irregular, your body doesn’t fully relax and get the respite it requires to be at its best. When you and your body are tired, it doesn’t function to its full potential. Concentration is down, moodiness sets in and you lack the energy to get motivated.
Eating well is crucial for your health. I’m not saying cut out all the treats you love because I am a firm believer in eating what you enjoy, but everything has to be in moderation. Ideally you should be eating small meals frequently throughout the day to assist your digestive system in doing its job efficiently. When your digestion isn’t functioning correctly, your body doesn’t absorb all the nutrients required to give you the energy boosts to easily get through the day.
It is also important to not skip meals! For more information on healthy eating click the link.
As silly as it may sound, laughing boosts your body’s health. It relaxes you and relieves your muscles from built up stress and tension. Laughing improves your mood, boosts your energy and reduces risk of heart disease.
Relaxing can be achieved in so many different ways. It can be as simple as getting a good book and sitting under a shady tree in the fresh air, going for a run or reclining in your chair and enjoying a movie. Other options include getting a massage, acupuncture or even yoga.

Australians are becoming increasingly stressed about the rising cost of living in addition to many other situations and circumstances. Click here to see what the main causes of stress in Australia are. Financial strains have puts luxuries like massages and gym memberships on hold.
What people don’t realise is that with private health insurance you get a large chunk of that money back in your pocket. Yes I realise private health cover costs you money, sometimes it can cost ridiculous amounts. But it doesn’t have to. By comparing health funds to get the best possible deal for you and your family, you may even be surprised that you can afford it without having to sacrifice a lot.

]]>The post Signs Your Child Needs To See An Orthodontist appeared first on All Mum Said.
]]>Parents worry about a number of things from the second their baby is born. Unfortunately the importance of teeth and orthodontic checks are not fully understood.
Parents know it is essential to ensure they brush their child’s teeth at least twice a day, drink milk for calcium and that flossing should be done but are sometimes confused by misconceptions. Today I am going to share with you how to clean your child’s teeth, tell-tale signs dental work may be required and the significance of orthodontic checks.

Children typically think they can clean their teeth by themselves from a young age (especially toddlers) and while it is great to let them practise, it is vital that you do the job properly.
• Face your child or have them looking towards a mirror with you standing behind them. This allows you to see inside their mouth while brushing their teeth in a circular motion.
• Let them hold the brush as you clean their teeth so they become familiar with the action. Supervise children under the age of 6 as they tend to swallow toothpaste.
• Start from a young age so it introduces good habits.

Orthodontists do much more than putting braces on. They are experts in teeth straightening for kids, teens and adults which is why they can identify the best treatment options for each individual.
Knowing the signs of when and why you should take your child to see an orthodontist can save you many dramas and further problems later down the track. As children grow the straightness of their teeth and bite can become a concern. Early intervention is the key!
• Thumb sucking – thumb sucking beyond the age of 5 can cause the shape of a child’s mouth and palate to change shape. This can result in ‘buck teeth’.
• Irregular loss of baby teeth – if baby teeth are lost too early, it can cause crowding in the mouth as the new teeth are too large for the small space which may result in surrounding teeth to shift. If a child has not lost any teeth by the age of 8, they should be seen by an orthodontist just to make sure there is not an underlying problem.
• Crowded, crooked or misplaced teeth – there are several reasons your child could suffer from these. Drinking from a bottle from an extended period of time, small/large teeth, prolonged thumb and finger sucking, early loss of teeth and many more. This often results in chipped or broken teeth.
• Overbite or underbite – irregular bites can cause damage to teeth, gums and jaw.
• Speech, breathing or chewing difficulties – When teeth, bite or jaw are not in their proper place, it can cause speech, breathing and chewing difficulties. Improper jaw placement causes stress on facial muscles and jaw joints; without treatment this will only become worse.
Visit the ASO website and see the infographic below for more signs your child may require an orthodontic visit.

• A registered orthodontist must complete a general dental degree and an additional 3 year full time accredited university degree in orthodontics.
• You do not need a referral from your dentist to make an appointment with an orthodontist.
• The ASO (Australian Society of Orthodontists) support patients and potential patients in making the best decision for their situation. They help find local registered specialist orthodontists and assist patients in understanding what to expect before, during and after treatment.

The importance of teeth are often understated and are left as a second thought. Make the right decision for your children and be stringent with cleaning and dental checks!
When was your last dental or orthodontic check up?

]]>The post Is It Safe To Clean When Pregnant? + GIVEAWAY appeared first on All Mum Said.
]]>Are you pregnant? Constantly cleaning, scrubbing and tidying? Is it safe to clean when pregnant?
As every woman who has ever been pregnant knows, you have the urge to scrub, tidy and generally have everything spotless. This is most commonly known as nesting and unfortunately (or fortunately for others in the home) we all suffer from it.

I hate to tell you but most cleaning jobs are safe to do while pregnant. In moderation of course, so you don’t overdo it. There are some things that should be avoided (aka left to someone else) or kept in mind while on your cleaning spree. These include:
• Cleaning the oven – Due to majority of kitchens being a smaller, more enclosed areas; fumes from oven cleaners are cause for concern. Especially when pregnant. In addition to toxic fumes there is also the bending and crouching to consider. It is best to hand this chore over to someone else.
• Clean only in well ventilated areas. Most chemicals and domestic cleaning products are safe to use when pregnant however the fumes and smell may cause you to feel light headed and sick if the room is not ventilated enough. Open doors and windows to allow good air-flow!
• Use protection – I’m not talking to prevent pregnancy. I mean rubber gloves and a mask to protect yourself from touching and inhaling chemicals. You can never be too safe.

During the later stages of pregnancy, you will find it harder to get up and down to clean showers, bath tubs, etc. on a daily basis. I know all too well and as a result of me being 37 weeks pregnant and not being able to maintain the level of cleanliness I like in my bathrooms; I hired a cleaner for the first time in my life. My bathrooms have never shined so much, or maybe that was the euphoria I felt because I didn’t have to clean them and yet they were spotless!
I typically live by my 5 minutes a day rule for cleaning the bathroom << check it out! It will save you a lot of hard work but as I am now heavily pregnant, I just cannot keep it up. For more information on staying healthy and safe during pregnancy, click the link.

I never saw the value in a cleaner until that life changing day last week. My eyes have been opened. To be honest the bathrooms are my most hated household chores! I know I am not alone in this which is why I have a great opportunity for one of All Mum Said’s amazing readers.

]]>The post The Health Benefits Of Coffee appeared first on All Mum Said.
]]>Some claim it’s a harmful vice, others say it’s an indulgence they can’t live without it – regardless of how you perceive coffee, there’s no doubt of its popularity. It also has a large number of health benefits. Check out the list below to discover how coffee can help you!
Anyone that’s ever consumed a cup of coffee knows it can instantly perk you up. This is because caffeine stimulates the neurons in the brain and increases mental efficiency. Once the mind is in gear, the body tends to follow. It’s no secret that many athletes drink coffee just prior to exercise to improve alertness, boost energy levels and improve overall performance.
Recent studies have shown that consuming three to five cups of coffee a day can reduce your likelihood of developing Alzheimer’s or dementia later in life. Drinking coffee has also been linked to increased cardiovascular health, and may lower the risk of liver disease. But don’t hook yourself up to an IV drip of the stuff just yet – too much of a good thing can be harmful. Drink in moderation as part of a balanced diet and don’t forget to exercise!

No, you haven’t stumbled upon a crazy, new-age health and well-being blog. Coffee is a wonderful natural exfoliant that leaves the skin supple and smooth. Incorporate coffee grounds into your daily skincare regimen – either through a homemade face mask or as a whole-body exfoliant. You could use a premium grade brand such as Di Bella Coffee and massage grounds into your skin in circular motions for best results.
It might surprise you to discover that there are already a number of shampoos on the market that use caffeine to stimulate hair growth and maintain volume and shine. You can also rub coffee grounds through wet hair prior to using shampoo for a clean and glossy feel. A word of caution: if you’ve got light hair, you might want to go easy on the morning “hairspresso”.

Many people assume that it’s the caffeine in coffee that makes you feel “on top of the world”, but it might actually be due to the large amounts of antioxidants contained within each serving. Fruit and vegetables are a great source of antioxidants (as well as tea), but studies suggest the human body responds most positively to the antioxidants found in coffee. So there you go – there’s no need to feel guilty about downing that cheeky espresso in the afternoon.
Coffee is one of the world’s most popular beverages. While the taste and aroma of this ancient drink have proven popular for centuries, it also has several health benefits that are well worth discovering.

]]>The post 10 Reasons You Should Have More Orgasms appeared first on All Mum Said.
]]>Have more orgasms? We have all heard that there are many benefits to having orgasms or maybe your partner has told you this and you thought they were lying through the skin of their teeth.
Well it’s true! There are so many wonderful reasons why you should be having more of them. I am going to share my top 10 with you below – some you will have heard and some maybe not.

1. Helps to relieve pain
To put it simply – the endorphin’s released during an orgasm can provide natural (and free) pain relief (yes that includes headaches and migraines too).
2. Sleep
Who doesn’t want more of that? The ease of sleep after having sex is caused by the rush of hormones that occur during orgasms (and of course the physical exhaustion would help).
3. Stress and anxiety relief
You can thank those wonderful endorphin’s again. When they are released they send ‘happy thoughts and feelings’ to your brain which cause you to be calm and relaxed.
4. Improves mood
It has been said to change your way of thinking (even if just temporarily) to see the world in a more positive light, more glass half full. This could in turn help to reduce depression and anxiety.
5. Anti-aging
That is a selling point if ever I heard one! Women pay thousands on creams, injections, etc. to make themselves appear more youthful when all they really need to do is enjoy more orgasms.
6. Exercise
Or better known as sexercise. Not only do you feel fantastic but you have given your body a complete workout. This means you can have that after sex snack without any guilt!
7. Cold killer
Experiencing orgasms boosts the immune system which ultimately keeps colds and flus away. An orgasm a day keeps the doctor away!
8. You can do it solo or duo or trio…..
There is no specific number of bodies required to enjoy an orgasm. You don’t need to have someone else or numerous others (whichever your preference) to give you an orgasm, you can do this alone if you want. If playing solo there are some great toys out there to aid your orgasm in becoming an ‘Oh-Mighty-Gasm’ like the Tango from We Vibe. It is whisper quiet, 100% waterproof (so you can enjoy it in the bath), has 8 vibration modes and the many other fantastic features will have you well on your way to pleasure. You could even vibe with a partner.
9. Physical intimacy
Sharing sexual climax with another person (most commonly your spouse) creates a sense of closeness and intimacy.
10. It is a hell of a lot of fun!!
I don’t think this needs to be elaborated on as it is pretty self explanatory.
Tell me below – what is your favourite benefit of orgasms?
Now go and reap the benefits!!
