I’m living with my amazing Mum at the moment, while we renovate our own place. Every night after dinner I go to bathe the kids and put them to bed. I tell mum, “Don’t worry about washing up. I’ll do it after the kids go to sleep” but every night, without fail, I come downstairs and Mum has already tidied up EVERYTHING! She has a crook back, but you would never know, from the amount of work she does around the house. I’m going to be selfish here…. I really would like to win this for myself! I’m a mum of three beautiful kiddies all under the age of 4 and needless to say, like alot of other mums I don’t get a second to myself… I don’t have family around to help me, nor do I have my beautiful grandmother (who raised me) around anymore to give me wise words and encourage me to keep carrying on strong! Its hard work being a mum and I, like many others put their kids before themselves thus reflected in my neglected hair and wardrobe! So I would love nothing more than to indulge myself for once!!
I’d love to win for my beautiful sister, who is a single mum of two girls aged 2 and 4, after fleeing an abusive relationship. She now works full-time, 6 days a week to provide for them. She had to start from scratch and she is now renting a place that she has made home. She never treats herself; always putting the girls’ needs before her own. The girls are too young to get her anything for Mother’s Day so this would be a real treat for her!
My Mum is such an amazing woman whom is a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is always offering to help everyone in need and often leaves little time for herself. A lot of pampering is what my mum deserves.

Aside from a the usual (amazing grandma, babysitter, mother, cook, mind reader, support shoulder etc) what sticks out in my mind is how she always gave the last of anything (chocolate, cake, slice of bread, left overs, chips, fizzy drink, tea bag ANYTHING) to us kids, no matter how much she enjoyed them herself. I have kids now… And I find myself sneaking in the last brownie before the kids see/want/ask for it! I’m awful lol… But my mum is the best! My husband has again booked a 7am Mother’s Day breakfast. I don’t have the heart to tell him I’d rather sleep in and eat cereal.
Oh gosh I would love all of those things! I can imagine myself eating the donuts, drinking a cup of tea, wearing a bathrobe after a bath with the bath bomb, with a candle lit, lips nicely moisturised while the face mask soaks in. Sounds like heaven to me.
Mum is awesome and completely selfless. She puts everyone else first and hardly ever spends any time or money on herself.
