Did you experience mum-tuition (mothers’ intuition) when you were pregnant? Did you know the sex of your baby before the scan confirmed it? I never did with the boys but I have an inkling that this time I know what it is. I have found this pregnancy so different to the first two.

With the 1st I craved chocolate, chocolate and anything else chocolate. With the 2nd it was chocolate and sausage rolls. With this one – #3, I cannot eat chocolate or chips or basically anything you think you will want when you’re pregnant. These foods have given me the worst heartburn of my life and so I have lost all want to eat them; instead I have found myself living off avocado on toast and fresh orange juice. Now I admit this isn’t the worst thing that could happen; I am eating so much healthier now than before I fell pregnant.
I think this baby is a girl. I don’t care whether it is a boy or girl and would be more than happy with either. I already have 2 boys so I know what to do with them whereas the idea of having a girl in all honesty scares the shit out of me! What would I do with a girl?

Anyway at this point it is just a feeling I have that it’s a girl so I could be completely wrong. I feel I am destined to be mum of muddy dirty smelly boys and that is 100% OK with me as while I am becoming more of a girly girl I am still a little in touch with my tough tomboy type side. With the 20 week scan fast approaching I’m sure this will tell us one way or the other. I am just hoping ‘squishy’ is healthy.

Did you know what your babies were before the scan?
I knew beyond any doubt my first was a girl. This made my whole family mad because they all wanted their first grandchild to be a boy. My MIL even went to far as to point out how it couldn’t possibly be a girl because my husbands side of the family just ‘did not’ have girls. Well, they were all surprised when I had my beautiful girl. With my 2nd I had a very strong feeling he was a boy, but not as definite as with my first baby. If the Dr had said “It’s a girl” with no.2 I would have asked ‘Are you SURE?” But I was right again and our son was born 2nd. With no.3, 4, 5 and 6, though, it was anyone’s guess and they all turned out girls. My son was so upset he never got the little brother he wanted so badly.
Oh poor little guy, hahaha. That’s how my brother felt with having 4 sisters and no brothers. I never really understood the Mum-Tuition before now, it is a very strange feeling. I guess we will see if mine is accurate or not – got a 50% shot at being right
I was so convinced that I was having a baby boy. My husband wouldn’t let me find out though and it drove me insane. I was due Christmas Day and I didn’t want to get out of hospital that time of year and try and get organised amid all that chaos!! I was right, it was a boy!!
I just got a feeling each time about what I was having and it came true each time. We weren’t planning for a third but I always said if we had another I wanted a girl and that’s what I got.(Must have put my order in!) Infact with her I knew instantly I was pregnant as I just got the strongest idea in my head almost immediately.
Not as good as my mum though…she always gets the winning Melbourne Cup number in her head! She tells me ahead of time each year but I never end up placing a bet. It’s quite spooky really!
The first thought I got about your baby was a girl but I usually judge it by how much weight someone is carrying on their arms compared to the rest of their body. Lots of extra weight on the arms = boy in my book or only moderate increase in arms/shoulders = girl. Funny how we all have different ways of coming to conclusions about the sex of a baby in someone’s tummy huh?
