A big puddle just slowly flowed from where I was sitting. ]]> By: Raychael aka Mystery Case http://allmumsaid.com.au/new-business-cards-moo-giveaway/#comment-14930 Wed, 24 Sep 2014 11:29:08 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=4924#comment-14930 I suffer from foot in mouth syndrome, I could possibly dedicate an entire blog to my condition. The most recent would be the time I was happily chatting with who I thought was a gay artist I’d met at a dark and loud gallery opening a week before, only to be told he was the hubby of one of my clients. ]]> By: Deborah http://allmumsaid.com.au/new-business-cards-moo-giveaway/#comment-14832 Tue, 23 Sep 2014 23:57:56 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=4924#comment-14832 First job interview many years ago my father insisted he come with me it was so embarrassing ]]> By: Michelle http://allmumsaid.com.au/new-business-cards-moo-giveaway/#comment-14805 Tue, 23 Sep 2014 21:27:58 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=4924#comment-14805 I bite my nails so when I meet people and they see my fingers it’s defiantly not a good impression ]]> By: Mick G http://allmumsaid.com.au/new-business-cards-moo-giveaway/#comment-14717 Tue, 23 Sep 2014 12:00:31 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=4924#comment-14717 My first job interview. On my first get-to-know chat with him, I said to him that his English was pretty good. He just smiled and nodded. Later, I found out that English is the native language for most Irish. Oops. ]]> By: Caroline Kelly http://allmumsaid.com.au/new-business-cards-moo-giveaway/#comment-13718 Tue, 16 Sep 2014 12:46:23 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=4924#comment-13718 I was at a Christmas party and someone had found out my name from someone else and took the effort to introduce herself and had my name already. Sure enough, I introduced myself with my name. Socially awkward and could swear that I heard crickets for the next ten seconds! ]]> By: Lisa Jene http://allmumsaid.com.au/new-business-cards-moo-giveaway/#comment-13698 Tue, 16 Sep 2014 04:31:27 +0000 http://allmumsaid.com.au/?p=4924#comment-13698 Innocent little me, alone in New York for the first time, trying to break into the dog-eat-shark world of publishing at a conference. After lots of circling, I finally managed to see an agent, the person who, even more than editors, hold a writer’s future in their delicate hands. OK, thinks I, let’s be smart. Professional. Courteous but charming. I bumble over to her and in ten seconds, manage to spill my drink, scatter my business cards all over the floor and tear two buttons from my top – all accompanied by some creative Aussie swearing. The agent skittered away as fast as I longed to. I never saw another agent for the next two days of the conference. This was seven years ago; my novel still sits in the draw like discarded, soggy business cards. ]]>
