Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our seven year wedding anniversary.
We didn’t have a romantic date, go to dinner alone or anything out of the ordinary. We went camping with the kids the night before and spent the day packing up and cleaning the house.
Yes we are thrilling people, I know. Well I did get some gorgeous flowers which are absolutely beautiful but it isn’t about the presents. When he asked me what I wanted for our anniversary, I replied ‘Another 7 years!’ because that is honestly what I want, I want to spend my life with him.

When people heard that it was our seventh wedding anniversary, they instantly jump to the ‘seven year itch’. Yes I know a lot of couples suffer from it and it is devastating but nothing about our relationship says we are bored, lack love, or want something different.
We have been together since I was 15, that is a crazy 14 years together! 14 years of putting up with each others shit. Each others flaws. Each others strengths. And helping each other overcome obstacles. We are better together and couldn’t imagine life without the other. No hint of an ‘itch’ here.
We have been through tough times and overcome them. We have experienced greatness. We have enjoyed so much, including bringing four children into the world. We tackle things together as a team and as a result our love and respect for one another has only grown.
Here is to another seven years (at minimum)! Happy anniversary baby, I love you so so much.

Happy anniversary! I’m coming up to my 21st anniversary in November! Can’t believe it. It goes so fast. Gorgeous photos.
Oh that is such a sweet thing to say. I would have asked for diamonds, handbags and shoes. haha. We have our anniversary coming up this month too. Always nice to think back to that special day.
Naaaaw, that is super sweet!! Happy anniversary and ignore the hot air from misanthropic idiots.
Happy Anniversary! We recently had our 8 year anniversary and I told my husband I’d do another 8 years but not another 3 kids xx
Congrats on 7 years. More than many these days. We head out every anniversary and spend a night or 2 away from the kids. It’s really important for our relationship. I’m into my 18th year of marriage now and doing OK.
Congratulations! We usually just celebrate with a nice meal at home. Although, since starting the blog, I can usually manage to get an invite to an event or the theatre to co-incide with our anniversary. This year, it is a big charity event. It does mean a little work for me but I’ve decided as it is our 21st we are going to have a night away and leave the girls to fend for themselves.
Oh that’s beautiful. Here’s to another seven years (and many more!)
Happy anniversary. Here’s to many more x
They say with the fast pace of life, that the 7 year itch comes much earlier these days so I think you guys are well and truly past that stage!!! Happy anniversary.
