The post Get More Youthful Looking Skin With Serum7 Review + Giveaway appeared first on All Mum Said.
]]>As we get older our skin doesn’t retain moisture like it used to. It is less plump and sadly this is when the wrinkles start to appear. It is a devastating time for most!
While I am not against aging, I would definitely love to fight the signs for as long as I can. Botox or surgery are nowhere on my radar thanks to my needle phobia, so instead I search for skincare that actually works.
Over the past 8 weeks I have been trialing a scientifically proven anti-aging skincare line, Serum7 by Boots Laboratories. I am always sceptical when trying new ‘phenomenon’ creams that claim to give miracle results so I go into each purchase expecting it not to work. Serum7 has done exactly what it claims to – younger looking skin in 28 days.
I have been using a combination of the Serum7 Protecting Day Cream, Serum7 Regenerating Night Cream, Serum7 Protecting Body Serum (I’ve been using this on my hands when I remember) and the Serum7 Fine Lines Eye Cream.
This was the first cream I used from the range. I applied it straight after my shower and I could immediately feel more moisture in my skin. You don’t need a lot as a little bit goes a long way. The cream is a little bit heavier than the day cream but night creams usually are. When I rinsed my face in the morning it felt softer and less dry around the chin area.
The more I used it, the softer my skin began to look and feel.
I don’t wear much make up, BB cream and blush is as good as it gets, maybe some lippy if I want to dress it up a little. Each day I use this under my BB cream and it has been light weight but still adding a refreshed appearance and feel to my skin. This is now my go to moisturiser!
I have never used eye cream before but I have recently began to notice some fine lines around my eyes so thought what the hey. It is a lot lighter than I expected eye cream to be but have since learnt that it is lighter because it is a softer, more delicate area of skin. Once the eye cream is soaked in it doesn’t feel as though you have anything on as it is so lightweight.
This ‘serum’ is more of a cream but there is no denying that it works! I have only used this about half the amount I have used the other products because I keep forgetting but when I do use it my hands are soft and moisturised for ages. My poor hands get neglected and are often dry and scaly but this body serum steps up and does exactly what needs to be done.
Overall I was quite impressed with the Serum7 range. It moisturisers, brightens and rejuvenates the skin without being heavy. You can wear it every day without feeling weighed down by it.
I love that all the creams soak in and doesn’t leave your skin oily or wet. It absorbs fairly quickly, the night cream takes a little longer but for the most part soaks in fast. I would definitely buy this product range again.
Excuse the weird angle, I cannot take a good selfie to save myself!

]]>The post Banana Boat SPF 50+ Sunscreen appeared first on All Mum Said.
]]>The warmer months are now upon us and with that means more time in the sun and higher UV alerts. We try to utilise the safer hours in the sun by going out and playing when the UV alert is lower, however this is not always possible. Kids will be kids and will take advantage of every minute they can.
I have always been fanatic about putting sunscreen on the kids, even as babies. However I always forget about protecting myself. It is just as important for parents to protect their skin as it is for their children. Last week I had a suspicious mole removed which is now serving as a very good reminder why it is so important to not only use protection from the sun but also to have regular mole checks.
Brands make it easy for parents these days to know which sunscreens are suitable for what children and which age groups. Oh and of course their parents. Banana Boat recently offered me some samples of their SPF 50+ sunscreen lotions, sprays and roll on options. There is something about the smell of them that has always made me want to get outside and enjoy the sunlight. Or maybe it is just the old Banana Boat ad that instantly starts playing in my head!
Just like clothing is made differently and hats come in different sizes; sunscreen also have their protection features. Each to suit a different kind of person.
This 400ml pump bottle is 4 hour water resistant and designed to be non-greasy. Made with the Australian sun in mind; your family can enjoy hours of protection in the sun with the Sport SPF 50+. Perfect for the whole family!
With the most advanced protection, this SPF 50+ spray bottle offers kids very high protection from the sun in a convenient sunscreen spray. It is 4 hour water resistant and as it is designed for kids; the non-greasy formula won’t run into their little eyes. The spray makes it so easy to apply to your child and is gentle on their delicate skin while remaining tough against the sun.
This option is exactly the same as the Kids spray above however in a convenient roll on bottle. This makes it easy to carry and even easier for the kids to apply themselves. All the same benefits but in a handy 75ml roll on bottle!
I love that this sunscreen spray is SPF 50+ whilst remaining mild and gentle with no added fragrance. This allows it to be suitable for the delicate skin of a baby. Featuring the same benefits as the kids spray option; 4 hour water resistant, won’t run into eyes and a very easy to use spray, this sunscreen has babies and their parents in mind.
It is no surprise that the Skin Cancer Foundation recommends the SPF 50+ Banana Boat products. They are reliable, trustworthy and convenient. For more information on the Banana Boat Kids and Baby range see here or if you would like to read more about the importance of protecting yourself from the sun.

]]>The post Pregnancy & Baby – Gaia Products + Giveaway appeared first on All Mum Said.
]]>Pregnancy and baby products are something you will need at one point or another (if you are having kids of course which I presume you are because you are reading this). Trying to find the ‘right’ products for you and your child can be a long and exhausting one because there are so many available that claim to be the best. The best for one family however may not be the best for yours. I have put together a review on some of pregnancy and baby products that Gaia Skin Naturals have to offer. Oh and there is a giveaway for one lucky fan as well so they can try the products for themselves. Yay!!
Gaia Skin + Body Belly Butter
I don’t know about you but when I am pregnant my belly, breasts and thighs itch from the skin stretching and it is not a pleasant feeling. Finding a cream or butter that helps minimise this is usually on the top of my purchase list. The Gaia Belly Butter is enriched with pure cocoa butter, certified organic Shea butter and rosehip oil which helps maintain the suppleness and elasticity of your changing skin. You simply massage the butter into your belly, breasts and thighs twice daily (or as needed) during pregnancy and as long as required after birth. Available in a 150ml tube for $17.95.
Gaia Skin + Body Nipple Balm
This nipple balm is new to the Gaia product range but it is one that all breastfeeding mothers should consider. This organic nipple balm moisturises, soothes and protects sore and cracked nipples which assist in keeping them in good condition for your baby to latch onto during breastfeeding. I love that the scent isn’t overpowering and as it is made from pure, edible organic oils, including sunflower and avocado, there is no need to rinse before feeding. You don’t need to use a lot of this product at once as a little goes a long way. Available in a 40ml tube for $12.95.
Gaia Pure Pregnancy Belly Oil
This belly oil is very similar to the belly butter, obviously in an oil form. It assists the skin in stretching and eases the dry itch thanks to the certified organic rosehip, jojoba and wheat germ oils. The Gaia belly oil is in a convenience spray bottle so you can spray directly onto the area and massage it in. Available in a 95ml spray bottle for $17.95.
Gaia Natural Baby Bamboo Baby Wipes
I must admit and say that I have used one particular brand of baby wipes since my eldest was a baby with the exception of a few here and there. I have stuck with the same brand because they have always been the best that I have tried, until now. I absolutely love these bamboo wipes. Why? Because they are strong and I am without a doubt positive my finger will never tear through one in the worst possible moment. That in itself is reason enough to try them. These 100% biodegradable bamboo baby wipes are lightly scented but thanks to their sensitive skin formula I am not concerned about rashes or skin flare ups. I am surprised that given how strong they are, these wipes are unbelievably soft.
The Gaia Bamboo Baby Wipes are available in 3 sizes: 20’s travel pack – $2.99, 80’s pack – $6.50 and the 240’s value pack – $14.95.
Gaia Natural Baby Skin Soothing Lotion
Keeping baby’s skin soft and moisturised is important for parents. This is one of the harder products to choose because we regularly use it on newborns, babies and toddlers. We fear their sensitive skin will not be able to tolerate some of these products so often act on the side of caution. Thankfully Gaia has a multipurpose soothing lotion designed for use on their faces, body and nappy area to sooth and protects skin while remaining pure, natural and organic. It has a light calming scent of lavender without being overpowering and the zinc, castor oil and beeswax ingredients provide a barrier, making this lotion last longer on skin. Available in 100ml tube for $9.99.
Gaia Natural Baby Conditioning Detangler
My daughter is just shy of two and her hair is rapidly growing which means upkeep and hair maintenance is now vital. Due to the length of her hair it is knotty every morning, brushing her hair was a task in itself however the struggle is now a distant memory. The Gaia hair detangler is amazing!! With just a few sprays of the leave in conditioner, the brush glides through her now silky smooth hair. Maintaining and tying up her hair is a breeze. Available in a 200ml spray for $9.99.
Prize Includes: 1x Gaia Skin + Body Belly Butter – 150ml (RRP $17.95), 1x Gaia Skin + Body Nipple Balm – 40ml (RRP $12.95), 1x Gaia Pure Pregnancy Belly Oil – 95ml (RRP $17.95), 1x Gaia Natural Baby Bamboo Baby Wipes – travel pack (RRP $2.99), 1x Gaia Natural Baby Bamboo Baby Wipes – value pack (RRP $14.95), 1x Gaia Natural Baby Skin Soothing Lotion – 100ml (RRP $9.99). Total Prize Pool $76.80.

]]>The post Imperial Leather ~ more than soap with a sticker appeared first on All Mum Said.
]]>Everyone knows Imperial Leather soap, it’s the one we all want as kids because it has the sticker on it! I can feel you nodding along right now because every child references the Imperial Leather bar of soap with the shiny gold sticker. As a child every time we bought soap I always wanted that one, as an adult however I like to embrace fragrance and more feminine scents. Imperial Leather have taken the desire for fragrance into account with their new range of body wash and hand wash. After extensive research they found that 97% of men and women surveyed felt more confident when wearing a fragrance and 2/3 Australians wear perfume or aftershave on a daily basis. I am an everyday perfume wearer and like to change it up, which is quite evident by the 30+ bottles I have in varying scents. Each scent triggers a different feeling or emotion, leaving me feeling sexy, confident, relaxed, or reminiscent.
I have been using 3 of the products from the new Imperial Leather range and love them, one in particular is my favourite. No. 30 Tahitian Retreat.
No. 30 is called Tahitian Retreat and this couldn’t be named more appropriately. A coconut and sandalwood mixture, this bodywash instantly makes you think of a holiday. The coconut evokes relaxing a sensation and leaves you feeling moisturised.
N0 37. Flirtatious, a combination of pomegranate and wild rose. I found this fragrance to be more rose than pomegranate but it was very refreshing and soft on the skin. All the Imperial Leather body wash contain strong moisturising properties that feel like luxury in a liquid form.
No. 35. Zen Garden is an anti-bacterial and cleansing handwash that combines green tea and kaffir lime. It is invigorating and fresh without being overpowering. The Imperial Leather handwash is soap free, skin friendly pH and improves skin hydration.
There are many more fragrances to this new range and I’m sure you will not be disappointed. View the new Imperial Leather collection here.
