Being able to get things done around the house
I love the routine that comes with back to school! Everyone knows whats happening each week and what is expected of them… usually!
I love that I know they are learning all the skills to get through this world.. I actually miss them and love school Holidays,,

We haven’t gone ‘back to school’ we are only just starting school for the first time so everything is exciting, even the buying of school socks is exciting. And just as when I was a kid, the stationery is the best part of back to school, some things just never change.

Call me selfish but I love the kids not wanting to leave me in the morning on the first day of school, and the big smiles, cuddles and kisses when they come home are the best 🙂

For my first back-to-school this year, I guess that it’s the whole ‘new beginning’ or phase of my kids childhood that I’m looking forward too…though they are growing up far too quickly!
The routine and the ability to be able to shop without the children, it takes much longer at the supermarket when my three children tag along.
That now we can get to some real exercising as with the kids around exercise took a lesser priority.

Routine, routine and routine…I miss the kids but love that we get back into a routine…breakfast, teeth, dressed, lunches, bus, home, homework, dinner, showers then bed…love it and the kids do to…
I love that my son can see his friends and have fun with them.
I love the newness of everything. The lunch boxes look lovely, the pencils are unchewed, uniforms bright, hats not faded and kids still happy from the holidays!
Fortunately our son enjoys school, so when hes happy we’re (parents) are happy!

I love listening to them talk my ear off for hours after they get home telling me all about their day, their teachers, what’s different and who they played with.
Back into an established routine. Homework. And more time with the little ones.

I actually LOVE school holidays and find back to school sad – BUT if i have to say what i love most, it would be that I dont have to listen to my children fighting (which does happen at times) – ahhh the serenity lol 🙂
I savor my brewed morning coffee in peace and quite, taking my time and not gulping it down.. Heavenly !!!!!
School give me routine which provides organisation.Being organised make me feel content.
Turning my back to school means releasing my kids to paralize another adult with their wit, talent and genuine desire to learn something different (especially after 6 weeks). I love that I’m giving away something as good as that.

We’ve loved the SMIGGLE Christmas ADVENT calendar… would have been ‘over the moon’ to have a SMIGGLE January calendar to count down the “sleeps’ till school commencement day.

I don’t have any school age children anymore but I do have 7 beautiful grandchildren that all love to draw and or scribble. There are 3 that started school this year but already have their pens and bags and sharpeners etc. so this prize would be for me, so I could share some precious time with my precious grandchildren when they visit. My husband and myself discovered Smiggle whilst Christmas shopping, a bit slow I know but we haven’t had a need before, and he was so interested in the products especially the safe, we did in fact buy some things for our grandchildren there. Pretty impressed.
I love that my children are back to their routine and back to school with their friends and teachers, lots of learning after lots of holiday fun, makes it very quiet for mum at home though.

I love that I don’t have a shadow 24/7 and that I can finally try to get her routine back to how it was and not the goin to bed at or after midnight anymore. Aargh!
To be honest I love having some time for myself! I LOVE having my kids around, but having an 3 hrs to myself before my youngest comes home from day care is great so that I can recharge from the morning burst of energy and prep for the afternoon burst of energy! Holidays I feel like we’re all going and going and going and I get a bit snippy, very glad for all our sakes for some routine and recharging =D

laughing and giggling and clowning around.
Mummy gets some me time to rest and recuperate,
Eat some sneaky chocolate, sleep and rejuvenate.
Back to school is really fun,
For the kids, AND for mum!
Being able to go to the bathroom without interruptions or a million questions and requests!
Miss 4 so excited about her first day of school, everything packed and ready to go weeks before. What about Mum? i am sad but also happy to have some freedom to be able to do the simplest like go to the toilet myself (i swore it echoed in there when it was just me), whow what about the shops? – in and out like a flash, not the calling of names of a runaway child, or a screaming child saying, but i couldn’t find you…….Arghhh the Bliss of silence when i want it to be quiet at home, a quick snooze in the middle of the day….Oh what a busy life i have but its my life and i am Happy

I love the smell of new stationery – takes me back to my childhood every time! My daughter and I walked past a shop yesterday and I took and deep breath and said “Ah, smell that new stationery” and she thought I was nuts 😀
The munchkins excitement as he showed off his new class and teacher. I love watching the next step of his journey and his delight in taking it.
I love the excitement on her face when she gets ready, and I love hearing all about her adventures as a year 1 student.
I think kids and mums both love to go back to school. They are learning and we are getting some time for shopping and ourself 🙂
