There comes a point when every toddler transitions from a cot to a big bed and most parents biggest concern is that their child will fall out. Well that and will they actually stay in bed. Poppet has made this transition and thankfully she loves her new ‘big girl’ bed. We did however need to get a safety rail as the bed isn’t exactly low and should she have fallen out, it would have hurt. Dreambaby heard that Poppet was going from the cot to a bed and kindly offered me one of theirs. DreamBaby Bed Rail Review

As I would expect from Dreambaby, the quality is second to none. This particular bed rail is an impressive 109 cm wide and 45.5 cm high. The odds of your little one falling out with this rail are pretty slim. As you can see in the picture of Poppets’ bed, there isn’t much of the bed left to fall from.

This is extremely easy to install and as it is already assembled in the box all you have to do is put it in the required spot and the safety anchors hold it in place. Requiring no tools to fit it means it is easily portable. One of my favourite features is the breathable mesh. My daughter moves around a lot when she sleeps and her face often pushes against the rail but thanks to the breathable mesh she can still breathe and I don’t fear her suffocating.

The  Dreambaby bed rail actually folds down as well which makes for easy bed making however this doesn’t suit all beds. The bed Poppet has isn’t quite high enough that it can be left down when she is not sleeping but it isn’t far off. Again, makes for easy bed making though.
