On Friday I attended a blog event held by Kids Business and Myer. My invitation stated go to the 6th floor of Myer so as I rode the elevator up I was curious as to what I would find once I got there. To my amazement it was like I had stepped into a Christmas Wonderland. A tinsel covered heaven. Oh how I love Christmas. It was in actual fact the Myer Giftorium. I was greeted with a glass of bubbly and a name tag so that I could be identified by other bloggers. I felt like I was walking around staring with no tact at other womens’ boobs all morning trying to see who they were and where they blogged. As I have mentioned since the event that I met some wonderful women; Bel from Mums Take Five is a wonderful and kind woman who I have been wanting to meet for some time now and the absolutely hilarious Jess from Peachy Keen Mumma who had us in stitches over urethras and vaginas – first time meeting her as well and it was surprisingly a great ice breaker! It was lovely to meet you both.

Moving onto the Myer Giftorium. This is by far one of the best ideas Myer has had. It has something for everyone on the one floor, a one stop Christmas shop. Taking in the setting of Christmas magic that the Myer Giftorium had created was incredible. There were confectionery girls with treats of wizz fizz and popcorn. Magicians and remote control toys wizzing around the place.  Giant LEGO sculptures had B1 and B2 in amazement, a face painter (whatever Myer Sydney paid that lady was definitely worth the money – SHE WAS FANTASTIC!). There were balloon artists, food samples, bubbly, superheros – Ironman, Batman, Robin and knights riding big wheeled scooters. There were also elves entertaining everyone with their instruments and of course gorgeous Christmas trees on display. It was basically fun all round!

We then moved onto the stations of gift ideas. There are demonstrations, product displays and 12 themes for gifting ideas in the Myer Giftorium:

There is definitely something there for everyone and every budget! The Myer Giftorium will be showcased in Myer stores with activities and exciting events being held from November 8th 2014. I know you don’t want to hear it but I’m going to say it anyway! Christmas is on the way and at full speed it appears as well. Where has this year gone? There are only 91 days until Xmas. This means I really need to get my gift list organised and start shopping. Usually I am quite prepared however this year as we had a baby a few months ago it has really taken the focus off everything else and left me doing the mad woman last minute rush. Now what do you buy for a 6 and 4 year old boys? There are so many awesome new products on the market and of course they are all on the boys’ wish list.

 I do know that the Air Hogs Hover Assault Ejects are at the top of their list which in all honesty I can understand. It looks awesome! Roughly 12 months ago my boys saved up their pocket money and bought themselves the remote control helicopters which I am pleased to say are still in full working order. They are constantly being used and are definitely well loved; I am beyond impressed by the quality of Air Hogs products and wouldn’t hesitate in purchasing more. The great thing about Air Hogs remote control helicopters and the Hover Assault Eject is that they are not only great for kids but for the man child or more commonly known as husband/dad; it keeps them all amused for hours. The helicopters are so much fun and the Hover Assault Eject is even better! Not only can it drive, it can fly and eject the wheels off while firing. These are safe to use indoors which is handy if it is too windy outside.

The Air Hogs Hover Assault will be under the tree this year and I know they will be huge hit. What is at the top of your childrens wish lists this year?

It’s the end of financial year which means The Big W – Giant Toy Spectacularsales are about to begin and I can get a start on Christmas shopping. There is nothing I enjoy more than a good sale, except maybe being able to shop from the comfort of my own home. With the convenience of online shopping I can do it at any time of the day, wear my pyjamas and ugg boots or even enjoy a glass of wine while I shop!

The online sale begins on the 20^th June and ends on the 10^th July. I was fortunate enough to receive a gift card to personally experience shopping with Big W online. I told my kids they had a set amount to spend and could get whatever toys they liked within the budget from the toy section on the website, they were absolutely thrilled and found it so simple to pick and choose the toys of choice. I had considered using the voucher to purchase their Xmas gifts but I seem to be quite out of touch lately with what toys are ‘in’ and toys are ‘so last week’ and figured my boys are the toy experts and left the decision in their capable hands.
