]]>Finding something to wear after you have a baby that makes you feel anything other than frumpy, daggy or still pregnant is hard to come by. It doesn’t matter how many babies you have had previously it is always the same feeling of – I have lived in these clothes the entire pregnancy and they are now so stretched out or I am sick of the sight of the items in my wardrobe. As I have previously mentioned in other posts I have practically lived in the same dresses, pair of shorts and skirt for the last 6 months of my pregnancy and I was wanting to leave the hospital in something that was as new as my baby girl. Something I’d never worn before. A new start.

You will have heard me mention my love for the brand i&u (innovation and you) that has recently changed to Laila & Spot. The dresses I lived (and to be honest, still live in) when I was pregnant are the maxi dresses from i&u. I know they are great quality and are made to last so I didn’t hesitate in jumping over to the new Laila and Spot website as soon as I heard they had extended their range. I proudly wore home one of their skirts which I’m so glad to have taken to the hospital with me; after having my bub via C-section I wanted to wear something that didn’t put too much pressure on my wound. The skirt has no zips, buttons or elastic jabbing or digging in which made it perfect. It is very comfortable and because I got it in black it goes with everything – obviously it’s now a staple piece. It does come in 3 colours but I thought black would be the safer option for me to start. Oh and they are only $40.

I have also been wearing the leggings which have been great for this crazy cold and windy weather we’ve been having. They are so soft and comfortable (almost like you aren’t wearing pants but you’re warm). Hahaha. They come in 2 styles – full length and ¾ length. I opted for the full length being winter I thought they’d be perfect with dresses, long tops, tunics and of course boots. These are also great for after having a C-section as they also have no elastic at the front (don’t worry about them falling down though there is some elastic through the back to prevent this!). I love how versatile these are and that for only $30 the quality is better than some I’ve paid triple that for.

Like I mentioned above and in previous posts I love their maxi dresses. They are great to breastfeed in and the design cannot be flawed. Truth be told I own 3 of their maxis (2x black and 1x blue) along with a shorter black version. Now that they have changed to Laila & Spot and expanded their range they have now got a two-tone dress that is also designed for breastfeeding. They look great and like the maxis I have are made from bamboo. I am currently waiting on 2 of these to arrive from the postman. I ordered one in each colour. I think it’s fair to say I love Laila & Spot and obviously the contents of my wardrobe show that. It is basically the only brand in there!
Check out their facebook and website. You won’t regret it!

]]>I love clothes! Lately my fascination has been more with the baby variety but how can you not when they are so darn cute and tiny? I am enjoying the variety of options that having a baby girl brings; with boys there is a lot of cute stuff but it’s all the same. Boys have only got shirts and shorts/pants whereas girls also have dresses, skirts, tights, etc. One of my favourite pieces of Hadleys’ wardrobe at the moment is her shwrap from Jujo Baby.

It is kind of like a mix between a cardigan and a blanket/wrap. It’s great if you have a baby who doesn’t like their arms being wrapped – my baby girl hasn’t liked being wrapped from the day she was born but she loves her shwrap. She snuggles into it. It is 100% super soft cotton (like most of their items) and great quality. This gorgeous cable knit shwrap keeps bub warm and snug without overheating and it looks absolutely adorable. The shwrap is available in a range of colours and patterns for $64.95 from the Jujo Baby website.
Hadley also has a onesie from Jujo Baby in the same cable knit style and colour. I love the addition of the girly frill on the front. It is also made from 100% super soft cotton and great quality workmanship. I love that even though these items are knit they are machine washable which to me is very important when purchasing clothing. These onesies are so cute and come in 3 different colours. The pink is the only one with the frill so these are great for boys as well! You can purchase them for $59.95 (on sale at the moment for $42.00) from the Jujo Baby website.

I love the excellence of Jujo Baby and their designs are one of a kind. If you are looking for a beautifully designed item for your little one or a gorgeous gift then I highly recommend checking out Jujo Baby.

]]>If you go back to September last year I did a review on dress for i&u which I must say with all honesty is one of the best brands of clothing for pregnancy & breastfeeding mothers. Since that review I purchased 3 of their maxi dresses and a pair of the lounge pants. The dresses are designed for breastfeeding but they are so comfortable, stylish and versatile that I have practically lived in them for my whole pregnancy!

The designer of i&u has decided to do a brand relaunch with a new name, new look, new range and a brand new philosophy – NO PREGNANT CHICKS! The idea behind this is to give new mums the confidence to wear gorgeous clothes without having to wear maternity or battle your post baby body demons in uncomfortable clothing. Laila & Spot has designed a range that is not only comfortable and affordable but they are highly flattering to the ‘new mum’ figure.

You can view their range here and visit them on facebook here.
This is not a sponsored post – it is just a brand that I trust and want to spread the word about so other mums can experience the comfort, support and confidence that Laila & Spot offers.

]]>We all know that when you are pregnant it becomes more and more difficult to find clothes that fit, are comfortable and still look good. I find that because I start to show very early on that my need to constantly update my wardrobe is not so much something that makes me enjoy the fashion but it is more out of necessity. Each pregnancy I have not gone overboard with the purchasing of clothes and seem to have ended up each time with a handful of singlets, stretch waist skirts and dresses that are on a constant repeat cycle. Yes I have gotten very sick of seeing the same the same clothes over and over again.
A big thanks goes to Fertile Mind for offering some amazing maternity items at reasonable prices!

Each and every pregnancy I have found my belly becomes too round and big for tops and singlets to cover and yet I never thought of getting one of those belly / maternity bands. What was I thinking? I have been using the Bando from Fertile Mind for the past 2 months and must say not getting one sooner is one of the stupidest things I have done. They not only give the allusion my tops are long enough but they are so comfy, feel amazing and are extremely supportive. They are designed so you don’t notice them being worn under your tops; there are no extra seam lines or bulges. I think the no bulges aspect will also come in handy after pregnancy if you know what I mean. They retail for $24.99.
Maternity tights are another item I never thought about buying (maybe because my first 2 pregnancies were in summer) and figured how different could they be to the normal tights out there. Well I’m here to tell you they are so different! They are super soft, durable and fit perfectly; which ultimately makes them extremely comfortable. They provide extra support for your belly that is truly understated. The overbelly design delivers extra warmth which is great for winter and cooler months. I can also see myself wearing these after pregnancy as they are warm, comfortable and supportive. Retailing for $24.95 I think this is a great investment.
Fertile Mind offers a great range of products for pregnancy, breastfeeding, baby wearing and the list goes on. You can find their great items on the website here.
