]]>Before having a daughter, I was in awe at all the gorgeous girl’s clothes that were available. They hung on their shop hangers looking so pretty. I had two boys and there was just never anything super cute that screamed ‘I have to get that for them’. There was nice clothes but not like what girl’s had to choose from.
Now that I have a daughter (and another on the way), I am discovering that, dare I say it, there may be too much to choose from! It is so hard to know what is going to last the distance and actually be value for money. I don’t like to spend a great deal on kids clothing as they are so rough and tumble and grow dreadfully fast but I want the clothes to be hard wearing and affordable.
A lot of brands and items of clothing I have bought for my daughter have come with high reviews from other mums. This is why I feel I must share the latest piece Poppet has been given. I have talked about the brand Charli Bird on the blog before, but it has been for adult products (scarves in particular because I’m a scarf addict). Well what you may not know is that they have now got a range of kid’s products exclusively available online. The Charli Bird ponchos for Little Chicks are absolutely adorable and perfect autumn and winter weather.
The budget friendly mum in me loves the versatility that these ponchos provide. They are designed to grow with your child for years; initially it will be a longer style poncho and as your child grows it will become more of a short shawl whilst remaining stylish and well fitting.
These little girls ponchos are designed in Australia by Charli Bird and made from a blend of 70% wool and 30% polymine which gives a soft cashmere feel. I cannot believe how incredibly soft it is, even after being washed! Oh and speaking of washing, it doesn’t shrink or lose its shape. I love how adaptable this piece of clothing is; it is ideal for wearing over tights or jeans and is suitable for a trip to the park or to dress up for dinner.
Because every little girl is different, they are available in 4 colours: Lollipop – hot pink/orange, Bubblegum – purple/mauve, Blue Heaven – dark blue/ light blue, Liquorice – black/ cream. Poppet has Bubblegum.
S/M suitable for 3-5 year olds and M/L for 6-10 year olds. For specific measurements of the ponchos visit the Charli Bird website.
Just in case you are sitting on the fence with these adorable pieces; they are currently on sale. Prices start at $59.95.
What is your favourite online clothing shop for kids?

]]>Finding the right shoes for kids is tough. The argument whether to put shoes on a baby or not is always there. Hard soles, soft soles or no shoes at all? Then of course it starts again once your toddler walks. I’m just happy that my kids wear shoes! When my boys were little they started walking at 7 & 8 months and we couldn’t find any shoes that fit and were still light enough for them to walk in, besides mock crocs. Not very attractive shoes but they did the job. When my daughter came along I was on the scout for shoes as soon as she was born because I didn’t want to risk leaving it until the minute like I did with B1 and B2, unfortunately it didn’t really make a difference. When I stumbled upon Little Bossy Boots on Instagram last month I was in lust. How had I not found these sooner?!
Little Bossy Boots design organic and affordable baby clothing and bedding along with some absolutely adorable baby moccasins. These 100% Italian leather moccasins are suited to both babies and toddlers. They are available in 4 sizes ranging from 3 months to 2 years. These leather moccasins are soft soled and flexible ensuring they are safe and allow your babies/toddlers foot room to grow.
When I was offered the chance to work with Little Bossy Boots I couldn’t say yes fast enough. My eyes locked with the Zebra print and knew those were the ones, for Poppet of course! When the parcel arrived in the mail I busted it open and the fun began. The Little Bossy Boots leather moccasins came in a gorgeous vintage tin. I was impressed before I even laid eyes on the shoes themselves. When I flicked open the tin lid I was greeted to a pair of Zebra/Silver moccasins that were even more adorable in person than they appeared online. Poppet has a love of shoes and her eyes lit up like it was Christmas when she saw them. They are beyond cute!
Little Bossy Boots moccasins are handmade in Melbourne and features an elastic opening that make it really easy to put shoes on and take them off. This is especially handy if your child is a wriggler. I highly recommend these baby moccasins because they are well made, adorable and offer a wide range of colours and styles which make them the perfect accessory for both boys and girls.
What do you think of these gorgeous moccasins? Do you have a favourite Little Bossy Boots moccasins colour/style?
Disclosure: I received a pair of moccasins as above for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.

]]>I am shoe obsessed. A shoeaholic some might say. I LOVE SHOES! Those who know me in ‘real life’ know that with each new season brings a new range of fashion and footwear for me; well the desire for them at least. I am always on the lookout for shoe and accessory sales and while on the hunt for a new cafe with my husband last week I stumbled upon a store I didn’t even realise was there – it must have opened up recently. Ziera. It had a gorgeous yellow handbag in the window that caught my eye and before you ask, of course I poked my head in and had a look around. Laid out before me were a selection of crisp boots calling my feet. I grabbed a catalogue from the store to browse while enjoying my coffee (and dropping completely obvious subtle hints to the husband) and jumped online to visit their website when I got home. You should check out their winter range when you get a spare few minutes – they might be calling for your feet as well Cinderella.
My top 5 favourites from Ziera are:
Ziera Judith heels $269
Add height without compromising comfort. Great for winter – work or play.
Ziera Zane heels $229
Perfect for the office paired with tights and a skirt or knee length dress.
Ziera Waikato Boots $269
Got a great pair of jeans? Pair these with them and you’ll look smokin’ hot!
Ziera Santiago Boots $369
A must have for every wardrobe. Goes with every outfit – jeans, skirts or dresses.
Ziera Talya Boots $215
Great all rounder for winter that will keep your toes warm.
Ziera Neitie Yellow Handbag $79
This the bag that caught my attention in the shop window. Isn’t she pretty?!

]]>When I am on the hunt for a new accessory I cannot go past Runway Style. There is always something there to suit the occasion, the mood and most importantly it’s always gorgeous. Showcasing glamorous and original accessories for women from Australian labels Journie, Anna Nova and Ella Grace makes this website engaging and unique. You may remember me sharing my love for Journie last year on the blog and that admiration has only grown stronger with the debut of Ella Grace. Runway Style is a force to be reckoned with because they are recognised for not only their design abilities but also their quality, integrity and originality.
Priding themselves on customer satisfaction and appearance you will find elegance, beauty and glamour in the form of timeless boutique jewellery at Ella Grace and handbags, clutches and wallets that share their own stories through delightful textures at Journie. They ensure consumers are kept up to date by supplying customers an A4 glossed look book every season which I think puts their customer service miles in front of their competitors. I love that I can always find something beautiful that suits my personal style and that their prices are affordable making it achievable for women, mums and daughters to look great, feel great and not bust the budget in the process.
With the release of the new season I am loving the new Journie Ascot Scarlet Clutch and perfectly matching earrings from Anna Nova. The clutch is made with stunning textures and consists of two internal zipper pockets as well as a mobile pocket and extra pocket, the Paradise Red Beaded Earrings look absolutely gorgeous on and add that splash of colour to every outfit without over doing it. The Ascot Clutch retails for $99 and the Paradise Red Beaded earrings a mere $22 which just proves that quality and fashion don’t have to cost a small fortune.

]]>Finding something to wear after you have a baby that makes you feel anything other than frumpy, daggy or still pregnant is hard to come by. It doesn’t matter how many babies you have had previously it is always the same feeling of – I have lived in these clothes the entire pregnancy and they are now so stretched out or I am sick of the sight of the items in my wardrobe. As I have previously mentioned in other posts I have practically lived in the same dresses, pair of shorts and skirt for the last 6 months of my pregnancy and I was wanting to leave the hospital in something that was as new as my baby girl. Something I’d never worn before. A new start.

You will have heard me mention my love for the brand i&u (innovation and you) that has recently changed to Laila & Spot. The dresses I lived (and to be honest, still live in) when I was pregnant are the maxi dresses from i&u. I know they are great quality and are made to last so I didn’t hesitate in jumping over to the new Laila and Spot website as soon as I heard they had extended their range. I proudly wore home one of their skirts which I’m so glad to have taken to the hospital with me; after having my bub via C-section I wanted to wear something that didn’t put too much pressure on my wound. The skirt has no zips, buttons or elastic jabbing or digging in which made it perfect. It is very comfortable and because I got it in black it goes with everything – obviously it’s now a staple piece. It does come in 3 colours but I thought black would be the safer option for me to start. Oh and they are only $40.

I have also been wearing the leggings which have been great for this crazy cold and windy weather we’ve been having. They are so soft and comfortable (almost like you aren’t wearing pants but you’re warm). Hahaha. They come in 2 styles – full length and ¾ length. I opted for the full length being winter I thought they’d be perfect with dresses, long tops, tunics and of course boots. These are also great for after having a C-section as they also have no elastic at the front (don’t worry about them falling down though there is some elastic through the back to prevent this!). I love how versatile these are and that for only $30 the quality is better than some I’ve paid triple that for.

Like I mentioned above and in previous posts I love their maxi dresses. They are great to breastfeed in and the design cannot be flawed. Truth be told I own 3 of their maxis (2x black and 1x blue) along with a shorter black version. Now that they have changed to Laila & Spot and expanded their range they have now got a two-tone dress that is also designed for breastfeeding. They look great and like the maxis I have are made from bamboo. I am currently waiting on 2 of these to arrive from the postman. I ordered one in each colour. I think it’s fair to say I love Laila & Spot and obviously the contents of my wardrobe show that. It is basically the only brand in there!
Check out their facebook and website. You won’t regret it!

]]>I love clothes! Lately my fascination has been more with the baby variety but how can you not when they are so darn cute and tiny? I am enjoying the variety of options that having a baby girl brings; with boys there is a lot of cute stuff but it’s all the same. Boys have only got shirts and shorts/pants whereas girls also have dresses, skirts, tights, etc. One of my favourite pieces of Hadleys’ wardrobe at the moment is her shwrap from Jujo Baby.

It is kind of like a mix between a cardigan and a blanket/wrap. It’s great if you have a baby who doesn’t like their arms being wrapped – my baby girl hasn’t liked being wrapped from the day she was born but she loves her shwrap. She snuggles into it. It is 100% super soft cotton (like most of their items) and great quality. This gorgeous cable knit shwrap keeps bub warm and snug without overheating and it looks absolutely adorable. The shwrap is available in a range of colours and patterns for $64.95 from the Jujo Baby website.
Hadley also has a onesie from Jujo Baby in the same cable knit style and colour. I love the addition of the girly frill on the front. It is also made from 100% super soft cotton and great quality workmanship. I love that even though these items are knit they are machine washable which to me is very important when purchasing clothing. These onesies are so cute and come in 3 different colours. The pink is the only one with the frill so these are great for boys as well! You can purchase them for $59.95 (on sale at the moment for $42.00) from the Jujo Baby website.

I love the excellence of Jujo Baby and their designs are one of a kind. If you are looking for a beautifully designed item for your little one or a gorgeous gift then I highly recommend checking out Jujo Baby.

]]>If you go back to September last year I did a review on dress for i&u which I must say with all honesty is one of the best brands of clothing for pregnancy & breastfeeding mothers. Since that review I purchased 3 of their maxi dresses and a pair of the lounge pants. The dresses are designed for breastfeeding but they are so comfortable, stylish and versatile that I have practically lived in them for my whole pregnancy!

The designer of i&u has decided to do a brand relaunch with a new name, new look, new range and a brand new philosophy – NO PREGNANT CHICKS! The idea behind this is to give new mums the confidence to wear gorgeous clothes without having to wear maternity or battle your post baby body demons in uncomfortable clothing. Laila & Spot has designed a range that is not only comfortable and affordable but they are highly flattering to the ‘new mum’ figure.

You can view their range here and visit them on facebook here.
This is not a sponsored post – it is just a brand that I trust and want to spread the word about so other mums can experience the comfort, support and confidence that Laila & Spot offers.
