In the lead up to Father’s Day I wanted to share some gift ideas that are a little ‘outside the box’ and the Pelican Clip from H.L. Human is the first on my list. If your dad likes his keys to be organised while maintaining a minimalist yet sleek and stylish appearance than this might be the present for him.

Pelican Clip

The Pelican Clip is only just bigger than a standard key and is has a 3mm thickness which gives it good proportions. It is available in solid steel or brass making it solid, reliable and sturdy. The Pelican clip sits well in a belt loop and doesn’t feel like you’re going to lose your keys, torches, etc. throughout the day. The hook also grabs on to pockets, shirts and any other material you stick between it making it very versatile. Thanks to it genius design it is easy to use and manoeuvre to slide on and off with one hand, this has been repeatedly proven with my work keys where I lock on and off equipment around 50 times per day.

Another thing I love (and so will you!) is that it’s budget friendly and more than affordable; Stainless steel ($11 USD) or Brass ($16 USD). Mr C loves it and says it looks good and most importantly it’s manly. The only thing I didn’t like was the split ring felt a little  flimsy however this is far from a deal breaker for me as I just changed it to a smaller stronger one; if you’re going to add it to your favourite key ring it won’t matter at all. I love clothes! Lately my fascination has been more with the baby variety but how can you not when they are so darn cute and tiny? I am enjoying the variety of options that having a baby girl brings; with boys there is a lot of cute stuff but it’s all the same. Boys have only got shirts and shorts/pants whereas girls also have dresses, skirts, tights, etc. One of my favourite pieces of Hadleys’ wardrobe at the moment is her shwrap from Jujo Baby.

It is also made from 100% super soft cotton and great quality workmanship. I love that even though these items are knit they are machine washable which to me is very important when purchasing clothing. These onesies are so cute and come in 3 different colours. Baby bags or nappy bags as many know them as have come a long way in the past few years; they no longer look like daggy old bags designed specifically for carting around nappies, wet wipes, bottles, spare clothes, snacks, etc. They now look like stylish handbags; yet they are still practical for the needs and requirements of a newborn or toddler.

I have been reviewing the giraffe animal print which is absolutely adorable but there are many others to choose from that I wouldn’t say no to owning either! The colour selection includes: Burnt Orange, Chocolate, Giraffe Animal print, Truffle or Watermelon Pink. It is very hard to pick a favourite colour.

 The Harper/Victoria Leather Bag  (leather nappy bag) would make a great gift for baby showers, Mother’s Day, birthday or even anniversary because it is so versatile. They retail for $295-$320 but they are all currently reduced to $160!! That’s half price for a great quality, practical and stylish handbag/baby bag.
