I remember when I was breastfeeding and that trying to store my milk was just a nightmare. I would freeze too much or not enough into portions. I just couldn’t get it right. I now know that I am not the mother who found this frustrating.
There is another Aussie mum who was fed up and irritated with cheap ice cube trays and the difficulty that came with trying to get the frozen products out. She designed an amazing and simple product not only for herself but for other parents out there having the same problems.
Now if there is a product out there that can make our lives as parents easier then I want to try it. So when I was asked to give a review on Qubies, I was not going to say no!
When the product arrived I was stocked from the second I opened it – they sent me the pink one (I love pink!)
The colours are fantastic – the new pink, blue & green. The best bit is that they are dishwasher safe – a must in my book!
The Qubies freezes in convenient 30ml portions which is perfect for a wide range of uses. From babies to adults there is a use. Breastfeeding mums will find it heavenly in reducing breast milk wastage. Great for freezing puree food – mash, fruit, etc. or frozen yoghurt as bub grows. Then we have the benefits for adults – it can freeze all the practical and very handy things into portions as well. Stocks, pestos, egg whites, etc. My absolute favourite now however would be making lime infused ice cubes. Lets face it by the time the babies no longer need the Qubies you will be needing them ;p
For a mere $19.95 I think it is money well spent for the convenience of perfectly measured, easily removable and stored quantities.
You can purchase the multi-award winning product on their website, in stores or visit their Facebook page. Oh and they have a huge range of recipes on their website that are perfect!
What did you find frustrating about trying to store breast milk or baby food?
