Anyone who knows me personally will tell you I am a TV series junkie. I love discovering new shows and last week I was introduced to another comedy; the hit TV Series, Veep.

For those who aren’t familiar with it; leading lady Julia Louis-Dreyfus (known for her characters in Seinfeld, The New Adventures of Old Christine and now of course Veep) plays Vice President Selina Meyer. While it is a political based show, it is nothing like you would expect. Personal issues, government dramas, personality clashes and uproarious quotes make Veep a must watch TV Series.

My initial thoughts when I read it was about politicians was ‘Snooze-fest, not sure this is not for me’, however after watching just one episode of Veep season 2 I was hooked. To be completely honest I enjoyed a Veep marathon to catch up on what I had been missing out on, I started at season 1 and didn’t stop until I had finished.

It is hilarious watching the VP try to improve her popularity and boost her influence while her staff {Tony Hale – Arrested Development, Anna Chlumsky – In The Loop, Matt Walsh – Hung, Reid Scott – My Boys, Timothy Simons – Days Together and Sufe Bradshaw – Overnight} (some of which are not the sharpest tool in the shed) are right by her side in an attempt to assist. Veep is full of dry, wet-your-pants humour (which is often crass from the mouth of the VP) and I absolutely love it!!

In Season 2 of Veep, Meyer overtakes the President in the popularity polls and is expectantly thrilled with the results. In her efforts and best intentions to maintain her influence something always seems to go disastrously wrong. It always starts out as a slip of the tongue or something mundane but inevitably sets off a chain reaction of unexpected consequences. Selina Meyers has the mouth of a sailor and as she gets closer to the top job her ambition to reach this goal dominates her daughters discontent.

The hit TV Series Veep, will have you laughing out loud and wanting to know what happens next.  A definite must watch for the comedy lover.

Kelly Burch has written in a way that explains the thinking and reactions of children and us parents in a way that everyone can relate to, along with possible reasons they may be acting/behaving in such a way. Anyone with little kids knows that it isn’t always possible to take a pram with you. Often prams and strollers don’t even fit down isles at the shops so you will need another option. Baby carriers are a great alternative as you have the privilege of having two spare hands. We have done so much walking and this carrier has made it hassle-free. I am in complete and utter disbelief. I have been contacted by the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation in relation to how I run giveaways on my blog because one of our readers thought it would be a good idea to report Mad Mummas. Reported us for what? Well I’m not sure exactly because they (VCGLR) couldn’t find an issue with how I run any of the competitions on my blog. They are ALL skilled based and the terms and conditions couldn’t be more straight forward than they already are; which the lovely inspector and compliance officer confirmed for me.

My first instinct was to be pissed off but after I stewed on it for a few days my anger turned to disappointment. Is it really that important for someone to win something? To get something for free? It confuses me in all honesty. Could someone be that disgruntle about not being chosen as a winner that they would resort to the drastic measure of trying to get others in legal trouble? As I’m sure you could imagine many hours go into putting these giveaways together; writing the post, monitoring comments, reading entries, deciding on a winners, announcing winners, sending details to PR, etc. I do all this as a way to reward readers and fans, encourage new ones and share a bit of joy amongst the blog/web community. I have run so many competitions (possibly 100’s) over the years we have been running and have been emailed by some extremely happy winners that couldn’t contain their excitement; these fans make it worth it. What this person has done could have had the potential to end that; thankfully I conduct all giveaways  legitimately so we are still able to spread the love.

If you feel the giveaways run here are anything but fair than please don’t enter as all you are doing is wasting mine/my husband/family members time. We read and judge each of the entries and it is a very time consuming job. Most of you are absolutely wonderful and I want nothing more than for you to keep coming back, entering, sharing and having the chance to win something awesome that you may otherwise not have gotten.

It’s my party and I’ll celebrate if I want to!! We are 2! Can you believe it? Today is our 2nd blog birthday or otherwise known as blogoversary and we want to celebrate by throwing a wonderful jamboree of prizes. It’s a huge birthday giveaway. For most families school is now back into full swing and life is returning back to its normal routine. Dreambaby Retractable Gate

There are often times that require a safety gate to be used in the home especially when there are little ones on the move. We have a few stairs in our home and a bub who is starting to roll her way around; this is would be cause for concern if I didn’t have a safety gate in place. Finlee & Me is an online store that has really catered to the needs of babies, kids and mums. The Snugglie is great for little ones because it has more than one use. I have shared Jujo Baby products with you in past (like the shwrap) and for good reason. The quality and softness of their products are just amazing. Cabbage Patch Kids – 30^th Anniversary

I have only recently discovered this website as well and love it! You may remember on facebook a couple of weeks ago I asked which jumpsuit everyone preferred; well I ended up purchasing a handful of dresses and a couple of jumpsuits as well. Babybjorn Potty Chair

The inevitable time in a toddlers life when they begin potty training is one that is both exciting and dreadful. It’s great they growing up and learning new things but with that comes the possibility of a lot of mess and uncertainty for parents whether to use a potty or try and train straight on the toilet. We all know every child is different so what works for one might not work for another and toilet training is no different. I remember these from when my sister was little (well something similar to it) and they were so much fun. They have evolved so much since then though. Hunting For Ladybugs Handmade Items

This woman is a genius! You may remember me asking on facebook if anyone makes fabric notebook covers because I wanted to get some for my boys teachers for Christmas; Hunting For Ladybugs came to the rescue and made me 3 absolutely gorgeous ones at a very reasonably price! I actually stumbled across this website whilst searching for something else and there are the most adorable things to be found at Dimples & Whispers. Maud N Lil Organic Cotton Toys

I love that there are great quality, soft and organic toys for babies and children at affordable prices. Maud N Lil have got such a wonderful range that there is really something to suit every budget without sacrificing excellence. My 5 month old is absolutely loving her Ears Stick Rattle; she munches on the floppy ears and lets them tickle her face as she shakes it she gets excited by the rattle sound. I will add that it isn’t one of those really loud and annoying rattles, it is nice soft noise but still loud enough that bub enjoys hearing it. At 14cm long it is perfect for little hands. We have also welcomed Ears Bunny Comforter into home with open arms. So soft to touch and has the ability to hold a dummy, link or similar in his paw for safe keeping. At 30cm long, Ears is a cross between a blanky and a plush toy making him extra special to cuddle. I cannot emphasise enough how soft and beautiful these are!
