When the chocolate echo hail me,
I turn around and face thee,
I look my chocolate block up and down..
and make sure the kids aren’t around..
then slowly peel back the cover,
    to thyself a chocolate Lover.

I started my journey in chocolate addiction when I was in uni.
All the cramping, assignments and exams made me go crazy.
There is only one solution to it, a chocolate binge.
Nowadays, I have my bite of chocolate in moderate.
One in the afternoon and possibly one at night.
Chocolate does this chocolaty-magic thing that calms my plight.

Savour the smooth, rich chocolate sensation
The most decadent treat, a true celebration
    That tantalising, rapturous, luxurious taste
At any time, chocolate I embrace.

I never feel guilty taking a bite
Straight from the block or in a cheesecake, delight
Of that succulent allure, oozing from your lips
Takes me to another place – nothing can eclipse.

I’m getting much better, I’ve given myself permission to have the chocolate of my choice on either Saturday or Sunday evening.Lately it’s been Sundays while watching Call The Midwife, oh,what a great show. Only trouble is, if I hear the music my brain tells me it’s chocolate time, I haven’t given in yet, so I’m happy about that.

There is no reason nor no time
To eat my favourite number one crime
I am a chocoholic for which there is no cure
No point going to rehab for my weakness cause
I have tried it all before.
Sometimes I can go for weeks without my treats
then I get one sniff from the Chocolate isles and I
am back to where I began. So for me its chocolate
for many others is beer or smokes
    – you can keep your alcohol or smelly smokes but
touch my Chocolate and you better run.
Cause I know my weakness and it knows my name 🙂
