Hospital Visits, Sick Kids & ANZAC Day

WOW yet another week of being run off my feet but really not achieving a lot. Thanks everyone who linked up for Mummy Mondays last week and those who had children back at school I hope it was a smooth week. We go back on Wednesday and while it has been great to do some travelling with them, I am looking forward to some normality!

Those that follow All Mum Said on Instagram will know that my one year old has been sick with fevers and has not been able to keep anything down. Thankfully she has continued drinking lots of water so she has been hydrated. However after her not improving we thought it was best to see our local GP, who sent us off to the hospital. Thankfully she is feeling much better and returning to her normal cheeky self now.

Easy Anzac Biscuits recipe

Today will be full of baking, ANZAC biscuits in particular – here is the best ANZAC biscuit recipe, it is our go to! On Tuesday we plan on attending our very first ANZAC Day dawn service with all the kids. The older two boys are very aware of the importance of ANZAC Day and we would love for them to experience the sentiment.

Do you take your kids to an ANZAC Day service / march? What do you hope they will gain from going?

We’ve been to Kings Park with 40,000 others a few years ago. I think it’s important to mark the day, just not sure I need to do it with a crowd of people.

Good to read that your young one is better. So horrible when they get sick and you cant do much until it passes. I hope that your family finds the A.N.Z.A.C. Day service memorable. It is wonderful that you are taking the children. My link up is about A.N.Z.A.C. Day today!

I generally always attend an Anzac Day service, this year it will be away from home in a small town that I’m travelling through. I’m really looking forward to it!

We have been so healthy all year and then BAM! fevers, flus and snot. Viral infection after viral infection. Take care!

glad your little one is on the mend, nothing worse than sick kids during holidays. We won’t be attending services this year (although all the kids have been involved in years past through scouting, hubby works nights so I can’t leave the small one behind) I think we’ll make ANZAC cookies, and find a march on tv.
