Cleverkeet – Little Live Pets Review

Cleverkeet – Little Live Pets Review

Christmas is only just around the corner which means the wish lists are starting to grow! Santa is going to have to work the elves from sun up to sun down to get the presents ready in time; especially with all the amazing new toys being put on shelves recently.

As many parents will have experienced over the years, children often ask Santa for pets for Christmas. This could be any pet; a dog, a cat, a bird or even a fish. Unfortunately pets aren’t suitable for everyone though and often circumstances simply don’t allow it. This is where Little Live Pets from Moose is the perfect compromise!

Cleverkeet Review

Cleverkeet is an interactive robo-pet that dances, talks, responds to your voice and can even drive its very own birdie cart. This bird is smart!

When your child first opens their new ‘pet’ and gives it a name, this very clever bird will remember it. Like the other Little Live Pets, Cleverkeet can record and repeat messages but it also does so much more.

Just like a real pet, this Cleverkeet requires some creature comforts at home which it comes standard with. Included is its very own playground which contains: a swing, a mirror, a dance floor and a perch. He also enjoys playing, dancing, eating and drinking from his food perch and being carried around while having a chat with his new best friend.

He can often be a little too into himself as he loves showing off while dancing in front of his mirror. Your child is going to absolutely love their new pet and you will be grateful there is no mess, no food and fuss associated with owning such a cute feathered friend.

Suitable for children aged 5+ this is going to be a Christmas favourite. Available in pink or blue from major retailers for RRP $79.95!

What is on your child’s wish list this year?

Inside Amy Schumer Review + Giveaway

Inside Amy Schumer Review

Amy Schumer …. What can I say? She is incredibly crude but piss yourself laughing funny.

While not everyone will agree and not everyone will like her provocative sense of humour, I love it. Inside Amy Schumer had me in stitches from the first sketch to the ending credits. It is no wonder it is an Emmy Award winning comedy show.

Amy looks like the sweet, wholesome girl next door but she will definitely put that assumption to bed very quickly. She is joined by several well-known actors and comedians in this cracker TV series – Jerry Seinfeld, Paul Giamatti, Dennis Quaid, Jeff Goldblum, Kathy Najimy, Justin Long, Amber Tamblyn and many more.

Roadshow Synopsis –

Season 1: Inside Amy Schumer is the new series featuring Schumer’s provocative and hilariously wicked mind, as she explores topics revolving around sex, relationships, and the general clusterf*ck that is life through a series of scripted vignettes, stand-up comedy, and man-on-the-street interviews.

Season 2: The unapologetic Amy Schumer returns with another witty-gritty season, digging deep into gender stereotypes, erectile dysfunction and finger blasting, with cameos from A-listers Zach Braff, Paul Giamatti, Janeane Garafalo, and more.

Released: 28/10/2015 * RRP $34.95

Magic Mike XXL Review + Giveaway

13/11/2015 By All Mum Said 22 Comments

Magic Mike XXL

You’ve seen Magic Mike and have waited for the new release of Magic Mike XXL with anticipation. Will it live up to the hype of the original or will it be a let down?

I will be honest; I didn’t race out to see the first Magic Mike like my girlfriends did. I waited for it to hit DVD, or maybe it was when it was screened on TV, I’m not sure. Either way, I had a feeling I wasn’t going to be entranced by it like my friends were.

Surprisingly, I loved it! It was great how they introduced each of the characters and how it was more than just stripping.

Magic Mike XXL review

Now let’s talk about Magic Mike XXL. While I still enjoyed this movie, I feel like the first one was better. Magic Mike XXL was more gyrating against each other than anything else, in my opinion. There was still a story behind it but it wasn’t as entertaining as the previous film. Even though I don’t rate it as highly as Magic Mike, it was definitely still enjoyable and a movie I would watch again.

The cast doesn’t disappoint either! Even though Matthew McConaughey is no longer seen, the film is full of popular faces. You will find – Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Amber Heard, Andie McDowell, Elizabeth Banks and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Roadshow Synopsis – Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, Magic Mike XXL finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.

Released: 21/10/2015 * RRP $39.95 * Rating: MA15+

Prize Includes: 1x Magic Mike XXL DVD. RRP $39.95.

Make ‘N’ Break Board Game Review

09/11/2015 By All Mum Said Leave a Comment

My boys loves board games; they always have. It doesn’t seem to make a difference whether it is Monopoly, Scrabble, Operation, Connect Four or their latest favourite Make ‘N’ Break.

Each has a component of education to them but most of all, they are fun!

Make ‘N’ Break Board Game

Make ‘N’ Break is a Ravensburger board game that requires players to pick a card and build the structure on their chosen card, paying attention to the detail of colours and order of each block. The challenge is that while you must keep your hands and fingers steady to build, you are also timed and must complete as many different structures as possible before your time runs out.

It is recommended for ages 8-99 however my 6 year old absolutely loves it so I think as long as your child is old enough to know not to put the dice in their mouth, they should be fine. I love that this game is educational. It teaches children hand eye co-ordination in addition to paying attention to detail and patterns. It combines luck with communication, creativity and action.

Make ‘N’ Break can take as long or as little time as you like. It doesn’t have to drag out and become boring, keep the game exciting by making and breaking these whacky structures as fast as you can! This exciting board game can be played with as little as 2 people and makes learning fun.

Make ‘N’ Break includes: 1 timer, 10 building blocks, 60 building cards, 1 dice.

You can purchase Make ‘N’ Break from Child.com.au for RRP $34.99.

If you are looking for a new game to keep the kids entertained; this is a great board game for Christmas, those rainy days or just because you feel like playing!

Shaving VS Other Hair Removal Methods

Shaving VS Other Hair Removal Methods

Are you sick of having to shave your legs all the time? Does it seem like you always cut yourself when you do shave? Shaving is still a quick, simple and cheap method of getting rid of body hair. But there are other ways of removing hair; some of them even permanent.

We’re going to take a look at shaving and how it compares to hair removal creams, waxing and HPL hair removal. All of them have something to offer. We’re going to discuss their benefits so that you can make an informed choice.

HPL hair removal

HPL is a safe method of permanent hair removal at home. It’s an adaptation of IPL hair removal which has been in existence since the 1990s. HPL hair removal is particularly suited to the home environment. HPL devices use pulses of light which are attracted to the pigment in hairs, causing a burst of heat in the hair which burns the hair follicle and destroys growth cells. This stops any further hair growth in that follicle. As hair grows in cycles it’s necessary to have 8-12 treatments to kill off all hair growth.

Hair removal creams

Hair removal creams are a lot easier to use and sweeter smelling than they used to be. It’s relatively easy and cheap to remove body hair using this method. It also has the advantage of being pain free. Although hair may grow back finer as the cream dissolves the hair under the skin, this is not a permanent solution like HPL hair removal; hair does keep growing back.

Waxing

Many women choose to wax areas such as their bikini line. Coarse, thick hair like that found at the bikini line is perfected for waxing. The fact that the hairs are pulled out at the root means that they tend to grow back in a less dense manner.  It’s important to remember that hair should be at least a quarter of an inch long before you wax. You should also remember to try and avoid excessive heat or exercise for a day after you’ve waxed. This helps to prevent your skin becoming irritated.

Shaving

We’ve taken a look at a lot of other hair removal options and now we’re back with shaving. Although it can seem like you have to shave all the time, there is no truth in the saying that hairs grow back faster and thicker each time you shave. That being said, shaving is not a permanent, or even very long lasting, form of hair removal. It is quick though and it’s cheap. You need to be careful you invest in a decent razor though, and that you don’t try and go too fast, or it can end up looking like you’re in a scene from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

There is nothing wrong with any of these forms of hair removal; choice is often down to preference. It’s important to remember though that of these methods only HPL hair removal products give you permanent results.

What is your preferred hair removal methods?

This is an S2 POST.
