We’ve all seen the adverts for the new movie Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy and it looks great. I love seeing transformations like this happen. The pretty little Disney fairies that flutter around being all girly and petite get to experience the more boy related journeys and get dirty. Not to mention as a mother of boys and girls it makes for a nice that they can all enjoy the same movie. Haven’t heard about the movie? Well here is the run down. When a misunderstood dust-keeper fairy named Zarina steals Pixie Hollow’s all-important Blue Pixie Dust, and flies away to join forces with the pirates of Skull Rock, Tinker Bell and her fairy friends must embark on the adventure of a lifetime to return it to its rightful place. However, in the midst of their pursuit of Zarina, Tink’s world is turned upside down. She and her friends find that their respective talents have been switched and they have to race against time to retrieve the Blue Pixie Dust and return home to save Pixie Hollow. While the movie may interest everyone the gorgeous fully poseable 9 inch fairy pirate dolls I’m about to show you are obviously more centred around girl interests.
As many of you know I have 2 boys and a girl. The girl being only 1. This means we have only begun to experience the girly toys; dolls, fairies, princesses, etc but Little Miss is discovering what she likes already. She absolutely loves her pirate fairy, she has Tinker Bell and while she isn’t quite old enough to understand that she can pose their bodies she does adore the beautiful shimmer fashion and sparkly wings. *Just quietly, I’m loving her boots!* Rocking their new pirate looks are: Tinker Bell, Rosetta, Periwinkle and the new misunderstood dust-keeper Zarina. Miss 5 LOVES Tinkerbell but Miss 7 thinks Tinkerbell is too “girly”!
Miss 7 is super excited about a Pirate fairy! The idea of one of the fairies being a little bit different and not quite the same as everyone else really resonates with her. She is a real tomboy and often finds it hard to fit in herself – I am excited to see the movie with them next week because I think it will be entertaining AND cover some good topics

Ariel LOVES Tinkerbell, she calls her Tinky, she calls her brother Stinky.. She’s only little so gets confused, so when Tinkerbell is on, she starts yelling, “yay, Tinky Stinky is on”!
She loves to dress up as Tinkerbell and has the cutest Tink boots!
Fairies – growing up with a little brother, matchbox cars, guns and bows and arrows were my thing. Then our first born being a boy, trucks and cars are the go. Now with two girls and the fairy craze is invading our house. Asking Miss 6, her favourite fairy is Vidia because she has long black/purple hair. This latest movie is more up my alley – Tinkerbell and the Pirate Fairy. If she’s packing an Uzi and hand grenades my son would probably become a convert too. But somehow I don’t think that would quite be the right image for a little girls movie. Oh well we’ll just keep up with the fairy phase. Just wonder what comes next with girls!!
In my book, have four fairies that I love to remember!
#1 the tooth fairy, this little fairy makes all the prince and princess of this house happy!
#2 my garden fairy, this little fairy took the babies dummy when Princess was forced to leave it in the garden at 2!
#3 Nanna’s garden fairies, Memories when I was young, stayng at my Nan’s house during school holidays. she had little ceramic houses for the fairies in her garden. The fairies told her when the washing was dry, when it was time for a cup of tea and when the garden needed water.
#4 Mother fairy, this one is my mother who comes in while I am at work and cleans the bathroom, hangs out washing and irons the shirts.. I come home from work and say to the kids, the faries have been and cleaned the whole house!
My daughter loves Tinkerbell and all her fairy friends. She doesn’t have a favourite fairy. She adores them as they can fly, are sparkly and magical!

She often reads them instead of her school readers to gain inspiration for her homework. It is a miracle if there isn’t at least Tinkerbell and one other fairy mentioned. She is a “tomboy” who loves so no doubt Pirates will be on her next list for her next Birthday or Christmas
To answer the question : my favourite fairy is the BED FAIRY
She visits the kids n places special treats under there pillows if they sleep in their bed all night:)) I must say she’s going pretty darn good with these gifts! If only I stayed in my bed!!
My daughter loves the boy fairy on Tinkerbell, because he is in charge of all the pixie dust, so he could make anything fly!
Their favorite fairy is Prilla because apparently she is like me. Unique, a bit silly and playful.
My princess loves the Easter fairy. The easter fairy leaves special seeds that you plant in the garden on Easter eve and over night Lollipops grow. She also loves the flower fairies that make flowers grow so brightly.

Both my toddlers love ‘Tink’, but not the current Tinkerbell cartoon as they havent watched that yet, they love Julia Roberts in ‘Hook’. Just like their mumma they love this movie and have watched it far too many times, but I dont really mind because I get to watch it over again too 😉 inner child coming out!! But this movie im sure is going to be their next favorite, who can resist fairies with attitude!!

Fawn the cute mischievous Tomboy who can speak so many different animal dialects is my favourite. She adorable, loving and a wonderful little role model for all the little kiddies. My kids loves her.

To daughter loves the Tooth Fairy. Why not she loses a tooth, that is no good to her and she get money to buy toys she loves. She has worked out know that quiet a few of her teeth are fallen out so save up to buy something really special. Its amazing how early kids learn the value of money. She is so cute when she looks in her tooth glass and find money then runs screaming through the house

Maleficent, even though she is an evil fairy, they loved her in the movie. I am not sure how to tell them that she is sometimes mean for a reason and she has her own issues!!!! Either way, my girls are all fairy crazy

The only dress-up I’ve ever bought for my daughter is a pirate costume (at her request) – so I think her favourite would definitelybe the Pirate Fairy after she sees this film!

The fairy who lives at the bottom of the garden, beneath the yellow daisy bush. The little creature who they can both see but we grown ups can not! They’re absolutely convinced that she’s Santa’s friend, a little spy who tells him how naughty or nice they’ve been. I think we have Granddad to thank for this.

my girls love the faires they believe are in our fairy garden, there names are petal, flick and bubbles. the girls leave them gifts and dance in a fairy ring made for them out of dandelions
Her nanna! She’s a childrens entertainer and always invites her to go see her library and show readings and arrives to entertain her friends at all her birthday parties. It is so wonderful time for them to spend together and she thinks it’s great her nan is a fairy!
My daughter loves Tinkerbell’s twin sister Periwinkle, because she is a winter fairy with “cool hair”!
p.s. I took her to see the Tinkerbell movie yesterday, we both love Tinkerbell and Tom Hiddleston who voices the pirate James! We both loved it!

Miss B my daughter’s prep teacher last year, she apparently grows wings at night☺ apparently when playing I spy if something begins with F it’s miss b because she’s a fairy. As a thank you gift last year we gave her a purple fairy door, purple is her favourite colour. On the card my daughter wrote ‘this is so you can come and visit me through my pink fairy door’. She loved it and has it in her Prep room this year.

I just LOVE fairies, so it was only natural that I would introduce my daughter to them. Given that Tinker Bell is a tinker, and my husband is an engineer, the Tinker Bell movies have been a match made in heaven. She just adores Tinker Bell and we have watched all the movies together countless times. Tink is a strong role model, not just a pretty face, and that’s something I can get behind.
