This particular product I haven’t used however as I have come to expect from Dreambaby®, this anti-slip mat ensures safety in more than one way. It is designed to be placed on the floor in the bath tub and is secured by suction caps to provide a safe and secure bath environment for babies and toddlers by giving them extra grip when standing or sitting in the tub. The mat is not only great for its anti-slip properties but it also contains heat sensing and colour changing starfish which alerts you if the water is too hot. Dreambaby® Easy-Clean Potty Seat
We are in the process of toilet training our daughter (almost a week in) and as our boys never had an interest in using a potty they went straight to the toilet with the aid of a toddler toilet seat. If you are toilet training boys this post may help. I love how this seat easily clips apart for cleaning because it ensures it is as clean as it can be and the splash guard at the front helps eliminate additional mess. The only thing I can fault about the potty seat is that it doesn’t sit snuggly in the toilet so it moves around when little ones climb on and has the potential to pinch their fingers. This may not be every toilet as I would assume some toilet seats are smaller/larger than others. Overall though it is a great product that works well to make toilet training easier for both parents and children. RRP $14.95.

Water safety is vital especially where there are little kids involved. Bath times are meant to be fun and thanks to Dreambaby® the risk of injury has been minimised once again. Learning through experience is the hard way of teaching health and safety to my kids, but yet it is the most effective way. Without experiencing pain, they simply cannot learn from it thus keep pushing the boundaries.

My daughter has really only has a few minor slips in the shower, but she didn’t get hurt at all, just a fright. She has closed her fingers in the shower door before but she quickly learned not to do that again.
I’ve found teaching them to be safe, and what dangers there are, works both but verbal advice and personal experience. Of course, you still have to keep an eye on them! Some situations can be very dangerous.
By showing them what can happen and how so they have a chance of avoiding danger. E.g. show them how slippery baths can be, show them how easily little fingers can be squeezed in door ways, drawers etc. Show them how sharp certain things are and how hot the stove is. Some things kids will unfortunately learn the hard way, however just occasionally forewarned is forearmed. Every day brings lots of little opportunities for teaching in a gentle manner without preaching.
My daughter slipped in the shower and cut he face, which has resulted I a deep scar. With little kids its just constantly reminding them about dangers around the home. And baby proofing everything give you peace of mind.
Little baby Evie is growing up so fast, her mummy could surly use these things to protect her little doll.
The most my daughter has done in the bathtub is pee into it.
Teach them by example, as we do things, we explain why and why not and let them know what happens when things go amiss.
When toilet training our son, the toilet bit him! He somehow pinched his leg between the big seat and the bowl (someone in their wisdom had taken the training seat off and he was in a rush). There was a slight red mark on his leg, but it was a huge backwards step because he was terrified of the toilet from that moment on.
The injury my youngest recieved whilst toilet training was when her buttocks got stuck in the toilet, she replied by saying the toilet was hungry!
Whenever we are in the bath, near water, toilet ect… I always tell them of the dangers and what to do in an emergency. Trying not to make them feel scared. Repition works for us.

I know everyone has done it but there is nothing worse than cutting you babies finger for the first time and you see blood and they scream scream scream. It is one of the worst mummy feelings accidentally hurting your baby
Trying to teach young children about safety can be tricky. We point and say “ouch”.
Not so much a physical injury but a mental ‘scare’ during toilet training. My son was using the toilet when the heavy toilet seat slammed shut. This gave him an almighty fright! We have since changed the seat to a soft-close seat and he is much happier using the toilet!
Babies are so slippery! The first time I bathed my daughter she slipped from hands. Scary!
To warn about danger I use a number of methods like signs, tone of voice etc. My favourite and most effective way is the “ham”. This is where I show a danger, like turning on the hot water and totally overact. The kids giggle at my performance but it is effective.
currently potty training our son, and it’s not going too bad but I just can’t get him on the toilet, I think the seat might be the answer to our problems!

The girls were sharing a bath, when the younger one fell onto the older one, and she ended up chipping her tooth on the bath tub. Tears ensued, with an emergency dash to the dentist, and a lovely bill. All in a split second!
