Both myself and my kids get massive welts if bitten by mozzies, and the lumps don’t go away for weeks sometimes.
We live in Mozzie heaven, I’ve already got two members of my extended family with ross river fever, I don’t want my kids to get it too.
Who needs to go camping? There are no screens on my house. Get screens, then. Yep, not so easy with ancient windows that open out. So every night in summer, we open the windows for a cooling breeze then slather ourselves in mozzie repellent. It works, somewhat. The kids are getting very good at swatting mozzies in the air. One little Para’Kito in a room sounds like heaven.

As an avid camper we are always on the hunt for mozzie bands to trial and find one that works best, as my daughter is allergic to them and comes out in big welts as she did on Australia Day long weekend as we spent the weekend camping. I work from home a lot and often with the balcony door open in summer the mosquitoes target me, I have a rare blood type and I’m convinced this is the reason! I sit with a fly squat next to me but I always miss and they quickly scurry through the air in a frantic, jittery dance to safety.
However last week one did not fly off. He boldly charged straight at me in a Kamikaze dive-bomb. I swatted and slapped at it but this just made it more determined. It came in hard and fast, zooming up the middle, dodging left and right, diving to my legs, then up to my chest, then my head. I dropped the squat and started to wave my hands around me like a lunatic swatting and slapping at thin air. It just wouldn’t give up!

However I did learn something from that mosquito I have not learnt from any other. It taught me something important about persistence, goals and success. In a weird way all living things have this need and desire to succeed. Speaking of which I better get back to work. Hopefully I have succeeded in explaining why I need this prize because I really don’t want to learn any more life lessons from mosquitoes!

My 5 year old daughter has a terrible reaction to Mozzie bites. She swells up hugely around the bite area and if it is a hand or foot the difference in size from the swollen one to the normal can be massive. The bites themselves swell into huge blisters that turn hard and then burst, leaving her with nasty sores. The first time it happened, she was only around 18 months old and developed such a swelling under her chin that I rushed her to the doctor. He sent us up to the hospital because he was concerned it may be a White Tail Spider bite! After about six hours at the hospital, a doctor found that she was developing another bad swelling on the top of her foot and deduced it was probably mozzies. Since then, the nasty swellings, blisters and boils have been a regular thing for our poor little girl. We have even been called to collect her from school, despite a note from the doctor, when one leg swelled to 1 1/2 times the size of the other, then again when they ‘thought she had chickenpox’! We cover her in repellent every morning before school and whenever she is outside, but we are still searching for something that is really effective in keeping them away from her precious skin. We would love to try the Para’ Kito pack!
I have six children all under eight and I think these could come in real handy so I can save some dollars.

My hubby is my mosquito guard, because mozzies love him more than me. Once he stood in front of our house and talked to a friend just for less than 5 mins, he got more than 10 bumps. One mozzie is enough to annoy him for whole night. After my little boy was born, I have two mosquito guards, because he has the same blood group with my hubby. But he is not like my hubby who can keep silent after being bit, he keeps scratching itchy bumps and screaming. OMG, I prefer being bit than listening to his scream. Wish Para’Kito could save all of us.
Because I come out in welts when bitten by mozzies and they itch and hurt for about a week. Hubby caught Ross River virus from a mossie and his health and energy levels have never been the same. I’d hate for that to happen to my kids.
I would love to win because The mosquitoes and insects ignore me, but love eating my hubby. My husband is the BBQ Boss and I don’t want to get stuck with the cooking for the night, and it would also save my sanity as I know about every bite.

My poor 2yr old has been covered in mozzie bites for months, would love to try this
I love to spend time outdoor with my baby which attracts million of mozzies and this would be safe way to get rid of them.
I would like to win this, because mozzies just seem to love me. I am always the one who gets bitten. I’m also alergic to mozzie bites, and come out in welts when they bite. This could really help keep the little buggers at bay.

One of my boys has very sensitive skin. Bites turn into nasty looking sores. He would like to win to avoid getting bitten. I would like to win because I prefer natural products for my kids. Life is too short to spend indoors.

Out of all our (8) kids… we have one who dislikes our camping trips with a passion! Why? Because of the mozzies and he gets eaten alive! If we had Para Kitos, it would make life soooooo much easier on our regular trips away for him!

After seeing the scarring on my daughter legs from her scratching the allergic mozzie bites, I wish I had known of this product! Even insect repellent doesn’t keep them away so this looks like an awesome alternative.
Nothing puts a dampener on outdoor entertaining then when you are eaten alive by mosquitos. Certainly makes unhappy memories of the occasion when you are scatching like crazy for the next week. An insect repellent kit from Para’Kito would make social gatherings fun again and memorable for the right reasons.
I must taste like macarons to the mozzies but I end up looking like Rocky Road… Nothing has deterred them and with regular camping trips with my scout group, I’m always looking to try a great new product!

Myself, Miss Tyler and Miss Abby are always the first to be attacked. Hubby, Mr Kitto, is the only one who gets off Scott free.
Myself and my kids are constantly attacked by mozzies. We live right next to a massive drain way and on the other side of that is horse stables. Mozzies and flies are a huge issue here.

Have just nursed a friend back to health after he contacted Dengue fever in bali,he was in excusiating pain,it ‘s referred to as broken bone disease,because of the pain in your bones and joints,it wont stop our family from visiting Bali but we will be very aware and take necessary procautions to protect ourselves.

My blood and my girls blood (all 3 of them) is awesome for mozzies! Hubby laughs at us all the time. At the swimming pool where they go for lessons, we get absolutely covered, at night time cause we have an old house with lots of cracks, we get covered! Any time we go camping we come back really sore. Last school holidays I honestly thought I had a tick on the back of my head. Hubby said “Oh yuck its a giant zit” so I relaxed and went to sleep. However, the next day, the familiar sting and soreness told me it was a mozzie! Please me xxx Oh gosh please help! lol!
