MAM Anti-Colic Baby Bottles

28/06/2013 By All Mum Said Leave a Comment

Approximately 20% of babies will become colicky which is quite unfortunate for both baby and parents. I have been fortunate enough so far that I haven’t had to experience this personally however I have witnessed the torment, pain and sleepless nights it has caused friends of mine.  Which is why when I come across a great product that is going to help mothers stress less and help their baby be pain free I want to share it with everyone.

I have been giving the MAM Anti-Colic bottles a bit of a test run for the purpose of this review and even though I have been filling it with breast milk my baby took to the bottle like she was attached to my boob. It was like she didn’t know any better which is definitely saying something for the quality of these teats. They are extra soft just like a nipple making it easy to transition between breast and bottle. Now as I mentioned above my baby isn’t colicky but the way these bottles are designed I can definitely see how it would benefit if she was. The base is vented which ultimately reduces the air that is swallowed by bub.

I have found the benefits of these bottles great and will continue to use them once I stop breastfeeding. They have a nice wide opening at the top making them easy to clean, BPA free and they also self-sterilise! Yes you read that right – self-sterilising! If your baby suffers from colic than I would highly recommend giving these bottles a go just like one of Mad Mummas readers did. You can read her review below.

MAM Anti-Colic bottles can be found in Target, Big W & some Baby Bunting stores. You can also follow MAM Australia on facebook.

Reader Review

I wish I had known about these bottles with my first daughter who suffered from chronic reflux and colic so feeding was not a favourite time of the day!
I have used these bottles with my second child now 10 weeks old and they are amazing! The fact that they self-sterilize in 3 mins is a bonus and extremely handy when out and about! The teat was easy for my daughter to suck and I believe it did reduce her wind, which is also noticeable when my daughter feeds compared to other brands we have used. I am extremely happy with these bottles and would recommend them.

Healthy Eating with Bellamy’s Organics

24/06/2013 By All Mum Said 1 Comment

Healthy eating for babies, toddlers and children is a massive topic of discussion at the moment and has been for the past few years. Bellamy’s Organic has heard mothers asking for more pure products for their babies and have delivered. Bellamy’s Organics are a family operated Tasmanian business that started in 2004. They are the only certified organic brand that offer a 100% Australian made babies’ and childrens’ range from birth. They are 100% certified organic by NASAA.

Their range is quite extensive and has something to suit everyone – formula, milk drinks, cereals, fruit snacks, porridge, pastas and the new range of ready to serve pouches. The pastas were a big hit with my kids; my 4 year old who isn’t a big fan of vegetables didn’t even realise the alphabet pasta or macaroni were made from vegie goodness! He thought they were delicious and what kid doesn’t want to eat pasta in the shape of different letters?

The dried fruit were also a big hit for school and snacks during the day. They are made with 100% Australian fruit, no added sugar and packaged in convenient resealable pouches. The fruit sticks (organic pinkies) were also very popular among the young ones that frequent our home.

I cannot really fault Bellamy’s Organic products at all especially when they offer so much goodness for babies and children around Australia. Bellamy’s Organic products can be found in Coles, Woolworths, Big W, Chemist Warehouse and Toys R Us. They can also be purchased online and delivered to your door.

GREAT PRODUCTS THAT ARE GREAT FOR OUR KIDS!

Have you found a new brand of product that are healthy for your kids that you just love?

Sleep Tight with Dream Lite

04/06/2013 By All Mum Said 1 Comment

You have probably been hearing a lot about Pillow Pets from your little ones for a while now about how great they are and how all their friends have them. Well I have anyway! My boys never actually got to experience the original Pillow Pet; you know the one that is a pet and opens up to be a soft pillow?

They have been lucky enough however to enjoy the NEW Pillow Pet Dream Lites. I must say besides the fact that the kids can’t actually use them as pillows they are pretty awesome! You turn them on and they light up the room into a starry sky by projecting images onto the walls and ceiling. It also has the comforting glow of a night light for little ones which may benefit you if your child is scared of the dark.

There is a 20 minute timer option as well so you don’t have to remember to turn it off; this is one of my favourite features. You can also choose from 3 soothing colours (amber, blue and green) or you can have it on automatic rotate where it swaps between the colours.

My kids are big fans of Pillow Pets – Dream Lites and being as soft and great quality as they are means they are a winner for me as well. I highly recommend them if you have a little one that is scared of the dark or likes to have that extra glow in their rooms. Even just for some extra fun on the weekends or sleepovers they are great! Well worth their money.

They retail for approx. $30 and have a range of pets to choose from. Snuggly Puppy, Tardy Turtle, Pink Butterfly, Zippity Zebra, Ms. Lady Bug, Jolly Giraffe, Playful Penguin & Rainbow Unicorn.

Tommee Tippee Toddler Feeding

24/04/2013 By All Mum Said 1 Comment

I don’t know about anyone else but when my boys were babies they were eating solids (well puree) by about 4 months. They were very hungry babies and enjoyed trying many different flavours.

I don’t know if baby #3 is going to be same but whether she starts eating early or the average age I will be prepared with the Tommee Tippee feeding range. Their innovation has no limits and is shown in the following products.

First Solids Bowl – This bowl is the perfect size for your little ones first feeding requirements. It has an easy grip handle for parents (left and right handed), it has an anti-spill lid that is great for storage and travelling. It has also got 2 separate compartments so you can store different foods at the same time or have variety while feeding. BPA free!
RRP: $11.95

Stickee Bowl – This is great for when they show an interest in feeding themselves or you just want that extra security in knowing they won’t spill the food everywhere. It also comes with a looped spoon for ease of use when they feed themselves. When my boys were little we tried suction bowls with no luck however this design is taking things to a whole new level, the bowl clicks into the base so it won’t move when your bub holds the side of the bowl and the best bit is they are very easy to clean. It has an anti-spill lid for travel and storage.  BPA free!
RRP: $13.95

Heat Sensor Spoons – These spoons are great for new parents who are unsure how hot/cold to have babies meals. The tip will turn white to indicate when food is too hot! The tip of the spoon is flexible and soft to be gentle on sensitive gums and the handle is long enough that you can easily reach the corners of jars. BPA free. 4x spoons per pack.
RRP: $9.95

Comfy Grip Fork and Spoon – Designed for when your little one is interested in feeding themselves, the wide scoop tips make it easy for bub to bring them to their mouths. The curved and cushioned handles are designed for little hands in mind. BPA free.
RRP: $7.95

Discovera Trainer Cup: This 260ml non-spill and shake proof cup is designed for 6 months+. It has a soft spout for easy drinking while remaining versatile, the spout top fits all Miomee bottles. BPA free!
RRP: $12.95

What feeding item is your must have for bubs?

A Boost with Flare

26/10/2012 By All Mum Said Leave a Comment

Every child goes through those years where they are too big for a highchair but too short for the family dining table. I don’t know about other families but we searched high and low for months trying to find the right booster seat with our first son and then again with our second. After all our searching we had no success!

We ended up just letting the kids just kneel while eating as just couldn’t find anything that fit our chairs properly or that didn’t require being pulled apart each and every time we wanted to clean it.
The grip tabs to stop it from slipping!

We have recently discovered the holy grail of booster seats!! I am not exaggerating and when I feel like I have hit the jackpot with a product I want to share it with everyone. This seat is from BabyBjorn and is new to their kitchen range and now also a very welcomed addition to our home. It is a perfect fit for our chairs (and will be for basically any other dining chair), it is practical and easily portable while cleaning this amazing product is so quick and simple. Don’t be disheartened by the fact it is white (I know what you’re thinking I was thinking it as well) however we have had spaghetti bolognese sauce spilt on it and not a stain on it! Impressed or what? I sure am.

I cannot recommend this enough to anyone looking for a booster seat for their little one. You can find them on facebook and their products can be found here.

Disclaimer: I was not paid for this review. I did receive this wonderful booster seat as mentioned above to review.
