D-Link products for the whole family

18/11/2014 By All Mum Said Leave a Comment

I have often looked at D-Link products while browsing Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi and similar stores however thinking they were above my budget I always kept going without giving them much thought. Well they aren’t above my budget, the D-Link products are surprisingly affordable. I wish I had taken more time to check when I was looking for a baby monitor when Poppet was first born because I could have saved myself hundreds! For the past week I have been reviewing 3 items – 1x SanDisk and 2x D-Link products. The SanDisk Connect Flash Drive, D-Link’s new Wi-Fi Baby Camera Jr and the D-Link Wi-Fi Audio Extender. So what did I think?

D-Link Products

D-Link Wi-Fi Baby Camera Jr (DCS-700L)

This baby monitor is fantastic for the price attached to it. At $125 the Wi-Fi Baby Camera Jr is perfect for parents who cannot always be home with their little ones but still want to be able to check in or watch them sleep (because what parent hasn’t done that at one time or another?!). This D-Link baby monitor has made this possible and made it easy. *Obviously these children have someone looking after them.

Sharing a wide range of features this little portable camera allows parents to connect their devices wirelessly over the internet (Wi-Fi) and monitor their child wherever they are. With both local and remote viewing you can watch/listen to your baby at any time of the day. The two-way audio makes it for parents to respond and settle baby with the comforting sound of their voice. The day/night vision automatically adjusts making monitoring your child a breeze and the 4x digital zoom lets parents have a close up look. The sound and motion detection is great as well because it will send a notification to your device to alert you. Simply download the free app to your tablet or smartphone and watch your little one peacefully sleep. You can also take photos/videos directly to your mobile device so you can always cherish those sleeping moments. The D-Link Wi-Fi Baby Camera Jr. comes with 2x accent rings – 1x blue and 1x pink.

D-Link Wi-Fi Audio Extender (DCH-M225)

With this little beauty you play music wirelessly from your tablet/smartphone direct to any connected speaker within your homes Wi-Fi network.. This gadget allows you to stream and listen to all your favourite songs regardless where in the house you are. But the features don’t end there! It is also a Wi-Fi range extender which easily eliminates Wi-Fi dead spots throughout your home allowing your family and friends to enjoy more entertaining with less effort. The D-Link Wi-Fi Audio Extender is a sleek piece of technology that can be purchased for $65.00.

SanDisk Product

SanDisk Connect Flash Drive

The little pocket sized storage device SanDisk Connect Flash Drive is a must have for everyone. It is perfect for wirelessly streaming high-def movies, music, documents and photos on your devices (computers, tablets and smartphones). If you are going on a road trip than it will keep the kids amused or if you have to travel for work, it has you covered as well. With the ability to simultaneously connect up to 8 devices everyone will be happy. Keeping you and your family entertained when you need it most, the SanDisk Connect Flash Drive boasts that it has up to 4 hours of continuous streaming per charge and maintains your security with Wi-Fi password protection. Featuring a Micro SD card slot for storage expansion this is the ultimate gift!

You can find more D-Link products on the D-Link website.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?

Disclosure: I received one of each of the above products for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.

Have you got your 2015 calendar? + giveaway

04/11/2014 By All Mum Said 61 Comments

I will be the first to admit that I NEED a calendar, if I didn’t have one I would forget so many things. I also take great pleasure in finding the perfect one. It can be frustrating when you search and search and come up empty handed but when you think about the fact you have to look at it for next 12 months, you want to love it. I have always looked in places like newsagents and department stores on my annual calendar hunt and for some reason had never even thought of looking online, which for me is strange as I buy almost everything online. This year however I have been introduced to Calendar Club which is where my 2015 calendars are from and so will my 2016 editions. I have found my new go-to calendar shop.

Calendar Club have over 4000 calendars to choose from in a wide range of topics and interests. They cover films, cartoons and TV shows, celebrities, music, sports right through to hobbies, cute animals, food, art, humour and so much more. There is something for every age and every interest. I found the task of narrowing it down to just 5 calendars an enormously tough decision as there were so many eye-catching and interesting ones to choose from. Yes 5 may seem like a lot but we have – 1. family/events/birthdays. 2. My work deadlines/blog, 3. Finances/bills/payments and 4 & 5 are for B1 and B2 because they like to feel grown-up. On B1 &B2s’ calendars we write things like library day, homework, swimming, etc.

Did you know that just under 2 millions calendars are put under the Christmas tree each year? That’s a huge number when you think about the fact we live in a digital and technology fuelled world. While receiving a calendar for Christmas may not be of interest to some, others would absolutely love it!  I love nothing more than the old school paper versions of calendars and dairies. I love being able to physically feel it and add my own personal touches.

Are you starting your search for your 2015 calendar? Maybe you know someone who would love one for Christmas. Check out Calendar Club to see the full range available and if you cannot wait and want to purchase one now there is a sale on at the moment!!

Imperial Leather ~ more than soap with a sticker

02/10/2014 By All Mum Said 1 Comment

Everyone knows Imperial Leather soap, it’s the one we all want as kids because it has the sticker on it! I can feel you nodding along right now because every child references the Imperial Leather bar of soap with the shiny gold sticker. As a child every time we bought soap I always wanted that one, as an adult however I like to embrace fragrance and more feminine scents. Imperial Leather have taken the desire for fragrance into account with their new range of body wash and hand wash. After extensive research they found that 97% of men and women surveyed felt more confident when wearing a fragrance and 2/3 Australians wear perfume or aftershave on a daily basis. I am an everyday perfume wearer and like to change it up, which is quite evident by the 30+ bottles I have in varying scents. Each scent triggers a different feeling or emotion, leaving me feeling sexy, confident, relaxed, or reminiscent.

I have been using 3 of the products from the new Imperial Leather range and love them, one in particular is my favourite. No. 30 Tahitian Retreat.

No. 30 is called Tahitian Retreat and this couldn’t be named more appropriately. A coconut and sandalwood mixture, this bodywash instantly makes you think of a holiday. The coconut evokes relaxing a sensation and leaves you feeling moisturised.

N0 37. Flirtatious, a combination of pomegranate and wild rose. I found this fragrance to be more rose than pomegranate but it was very refreshing and soft on the skin. All the Imperial Leather body wash contain strong moisturising properties that feel like luxury in a liquid form.

No. 35. Zen Garden is an anti-bacterial and cleansing handwash that combines green tea and kaffir lime. It is invigorating and fresh without being overpowering. The Imperial Leather handwash is soap free, skin friendly pH and improves skin hydration.

There are many more fragrances to this new range and I’m sure you will not be disappointed. View the new Imperial Leather collection here.

Disclosure: I received the products mentioned above for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.

My new business cards from MOO + giveaway

10/09/2014 By All Mum Said 39 Comments

Business cards are an essential item for any business or blog owner. It is your face when you aren’t there. It’s a way to grab attention and stand out in the crowd. After all you are usually just 1 person in a room full of people trying to attract the interest of customers, businesses and public relations workers. A business card shows them what you’re about, showcases your personality and is basically a reminder of you are once they return to their home or office. You want them to remember you, in a positive way.

I understand people often think any business card is better than none and sometimes that may be so. I am however a firm believer in first impressions and making them count. A quality business will make a lasting impression It’s equivalent to dressing professionally for a meeting. You don’t want to walk in with boardshorts, a singlet and thongs (flip flops for our international friends) and your business cards shouldn’t have to either. You want to impress from the second you introduce yourself to the moment they get home and re-read your card. Quality is everything!

MOO business cards

I was recently asked if I would review (and offer a couple of giveaways for fans) on the MOO business card range and as I had only just re-branded the blog and needed them anyway I couldn’t say no. After much deliberation and trying to decide on which MOO business cards I wanted to represent me I opted for the Luxe business cards. I had high expectations for these cards as they are on the expensive side (in my opinion) but I was absolutely thrilled with the results. They scream I take pride in what I do! Which of course I do and I’m sure any business or blog owner does as well. The Luxe business cards are 3x thicker than your average business card (600gsm), incorporate a strip of colour (of your choice from the selection available) through the layers and brilliant quality print. Definitely worth every cent. MOO may have been established in the UK but they now supply a wide range of printed products around the world. There are so many products on offer at MOO like stickers, letterheads, postcards, flyers and the list goes on but I only talk about business cards in this post as that is I have reviewed personally.

We are in a digital age however the business card still remains a very effective and beneficial marketing tool. They are your last chance to make a first impression and you want that first impression to count.
