Smiggle – More than just Stationary + GIVEAWAY

The words stationary, office supplies and back to school get me so excited!! I know I may be slightly jumping the gun with back to school considering school holidays haven’t even started yet but since I will have both my boys at school next year I am a little excited. Those who know me will know that I am an addict – a hard-core stationary addict. I cannot stop buying it which has everything to do with wanting to always be prepared and nothing to with the fact that I have a slight problem with limiting myself. My kids have inherited this love and so when I told them about the awesome range of products that Smiggle have, they were writing their wish list of what they wanted for school next year and the MASSIVE list for Christmas faster than the click of the pen (and that’s pretty damn quick).

Smiggle Mini Backpacks $34.95

Smiggle Mini Backpacks $34.95

Smiggle have got a fantastic range of products just in time for Christmas and there is something to please pretty much everyone. Until recently I didn’t realise that the range extended beyond stationary and back to school goodies – my eyes have now been opened. They have so much more than just backpacks and pencil cases (they are great though) and very fitting for school kids but my amazement came from the variety that is suitable for Christmas. My 4 year olds favourites are the headphones that are brightly coloured and light weight and the jumping clock because every kid needs a jumping clock! There is so much on my 6 year olds list that I will only mention a few – desk fan (not sure why besides the fact it looks cool as he doesn’t have a desk), scratch books which I personally love and will be adding to their presents, money boxes/mini book safes, the colour changing umbrella (again awesome), scull wallet and of course he MUST have the rocket lamp.

Smiggle headphones Play $34.95

Smiggle Scratch book $14.95 & Mini book safe $14.95

Smiggle Scratch book $14.95 & Mini book safe $14.95

There are a heap of items that would be perfect for stocking stuffers as well like elastics (remember them?), watches, hair clips, unique rubbers and they have not forgotten about the family pet – they have a range of goodies for them as well.

    12/11/2013 / 12:53 pm

I love the concept of the ‘Treat Your Desk Gift Pack’ – a selection of must have goodies, shiny, new and appealing for the new year of school. I remember how excited I’d become as a child getting my brand new stationery, being able to decorate my diary and having new natty things in my pencil case. Let’s hope my children look upon it with the same amount of excitement or I might be having to keep the goodies for myself. I’m still a sucker for a nice pen or cute sharpener.

    • 12/11/2013 / 1:18 pm

I have a little girl who had a slight dog fear,
No matter how hard we try and try she doesn’t like dogs near.
She runs and dances around the house “Turning SIX soon will be ME”,
“Mummy I’ve decided what my birthday theme will be”.
Puppies, puppies, puppies over and over again,
She’s made a list and got it right inviting every friend.
Looking at ideas to make this puppy theme,
Smiggle comes up before her eyes and boy do they beam.
“Look at all those choices” she starts to dance around.
“Mummy can we have some please for my party crowd”
So selecting just one item from this Smiggle website,
It’s going to such a hard choice with puppy products delight.
The wind up running dog, or the cats and dog slap band,
Hmm oh dear what a choice everything is grand.
Thinking of one single choice that will make party guest grin,
My selection for all of them will be the cats and dogs sound keyring.

The furry ear pencil cases. Too cute! Back in my day all we had was the vinyl ones with the letter inserts or big tartan pencil cases. How times have changed!

  108. 23/11/2013 / 11:49 am

I think the scratch pad is a brilliant idea. I have thought about doing the crayon and paint art (where you colour in crayon and paint over in black and then scratch away the paint) with my young daughter but this is such a no fuss way of getting the same results. What a great idea! Not getting black paint everywhere is a big reason why I would love to try this with my creative girl 🙂

I love playing with them with my daughters, teaching them how to play “England, Scotland, British Wales, inside, outside, puppy dogs tales” or creating the ball or the snake! They love it too, although did say “Did they make these in the olden days too!”
