Our Chloe was just starting solids and Daddy decided to feed her some mashed potato off his plate, but as he went to scoop some up, the spoon must of hit his sweet chilli sauce from on his lamb chop…well needless to say, Miss Chloe, after slurping down her tatty looked at Dad straight in the eyes, curled her cute little face up and started screaming…not even one minute later she stopped crying, was leaning foward with her mouth wide open looking for more mashed potato….

Blue Please 🙂 Good Luck Everybody

Funniest moment with my first born would be…just started feeding her farex…all of a sudden she has a strange look on her face & out of no where massive sneeze with a mouthful of food, I ended up wearing said mouthful all over me & was in total shock as to what had just happened! laughed it off & kept my distance in future feedings!

Funniest incident would be finding my youngest on the floor methodically transferring cat biscuits into his favourite plastic bowl with a spoon, then into his mouth. Goodness knows how many he ate before I caught him. I like to think his hair looked super glossy for weeks after and he certainly hacked up less furballs. Any colour. I’d be very grateful.

(Sorry forgot to answer the question)
My bubs has often decided that she wanted to “help me out” while feeding her since day 1 of solids. Her very first day, both of us wound up with rice cereal all over ourselves, the high chair, and the floor, because she whacked my arm very excitedly as she wanted to be fed. She didn’t get very much in the end, and wound up not digging the rice cereal.

I like any colours, not fussed. : )

I recently let my little 8 month old try icecream for the first time. At first he squinted and made that cute adorable first time trying face ( or it was too cold) but then you could see in his face that he tasted the chocolate and his mouth was wide open ready for the next bite, when I didnt give him anymore he cried…first time that happened too! I can say that like his mum his favourite food is icecream (if it counts as a food group!)

My little girl was having her breakfast. I offered her cheese, bread and sultanas in a bowl. She finished her cheese and bread but left the sultanas. She started to put in and out the sultanas from the bowl. Then, she threw it to the floor one by one and said “Oh Oh”.

I’m so used to feeding my little one with my fingers that one day my mum was visiting and she was sitting next to my baby and I automatically reached out to the plate, grabbed the food and directed my hands to her (My mum’s) mouth – in an effort to feed her too – when she said – ‘What are you doing?’ all three of us started laughing our heads off!!!

One day I was talking to my mum on Skype and feeding my 9 month old baby his lunch. According to me he was very hungry and eating very fast that day while I was talking to my mum. When I finished feeding him and was trying to take him out of his feeding chair – to my surprise most of the food was on his chair and on the floor.I had such a hard time cleaning up.

My little guy went through a phase… He refused to use any sort of utensil and instead would hoover his food off his plate like a little vacuum cleaner. At that point, he was so picky with his food that anything that got him to eat was fine with me. It wasn’t a big deal until we all went to the in-laws for Thanksgiving dinner. Nana decided she wanted to hold little man while I made a plate, and I forgot to warn her of his eating habits. Needless to say, she was a bit shocked when he dove head-first into her mashed potatoes and started lapping them up like a puppy

One of my favorite meal time stories is when my 2 daughter and myself were eating breakfast. I poured Abby’s juice into her cup and she scooped it up, gave it a one armed shoulder and head hug and said “I love you” then out of no where Cassidy who was waiting patiently in her high chair grabbed her milk mocking her big sis and said “I yu yoooo” 🙂 my baby’s first sentance. I Love You to her milk.

Cutest, funniest, messiest feeding moment, when 3 year old big brother decided to help feed twin little brother and sister. Babies ended up with mashed pumpkin in places where mashed pumpkin should never go…..3 year old swore off of ever helping feed his siblings again (thank heavens for that!).

Our funny feeding incident happened in a car, a rental car. We were on our first road trip as a family, hubby was driving and I was sitting in the back seat with my little miss. It was on a free way, the traffic was bad, and little miss was getting very cranky as it was past her lunch time and she was hungry. Since the traffic was so slow and it would be a while on the free way, I decided to feed her lunch right in the car. It was her favourite, pumpkin, potatoes and beef puree. I was careful not to drop anything as it was a rental car. Everything was all fine and well until little miss decided to sneeze, with her mouth full. You can guess what happened next, there were yellowish pieces of pumpkin, potatoes and beef of all over the car’s cushions and on my hubby’s hair as the driver’s seat was right in front of hers. And I looked like an idiot in the car, on the free way, trying to wipe them off quickly so they don’t stain and the rental car company would not find out. While I was doing all that, little miss thought it was hilarious and started laughing loudly. I am sure we made quite the scene to cars next to us as they were looking at us and trying hard not to laugh.

It wasn’t funny to us at that time, but now that I think back about the incident, it was pretty funny and definitely a moment to remember!

I’d like pink but really any colour is fine.

My lil on is going through a ‘Unless I can feed myself, I’ll just sit there and chuck a tanty’ stage. So I made the mistake of making soup for the rest of us and giving him something else. Nope he wanted soup. So I tried and tried to feed him but he was none of that. So with a sigh I gave him a spoon and he dug in for his first mouthful. Problem was, he’s got no real control of the spoon so it just spilled all down his front and by the time the spoon went in his mouth there was nothing there. After a few more tries and the same thing happening he started to get so frustrated when nothing made it to his mouth, but still he wouldn’t let me feed him and he wouldn’t considered a different food . It was like watching a train wreck, spoon in soup, soup spilled down front, lil dude cracking it when no soup made it to his mouth; repeated In the end it just resulted in a throwing of the spoon tanty and him trying to tip the whole bowl of soup up in frustration and me laughing so much as he finally allowed me to redirect him to a food he could handle. He’s still going through that same stage but whenever he has soup, he now lets me feed him.

One Easter my Mum decided that my one year old daughter would be better off having marshmallows as a gift rather than chocolate (apparently babies can eat marshmallows, but not chocolate LOL). They were cheap marshmallows I’m sure and I had left them in the pantry unopened. However, upon returning from the supermarket one day, I found her perched up in her high chair covered in marshmallow with her sticky hand stuck in her hair. Hubby was desperately trying to clean her off without hurting her. I helped clean her up… but only after I stopped

We had just bought his baby sister home, and my little man aged 23 months was sitting at the table eating some baked beans. All of a sudden he picked up the (full) bowl and dumped it all over his hair! It stuck in his curls and was ‘fun’ to wash out. Heartbreaking and hilarious all at the same time.

Our 18 month old son loves copying what his Pa does. This is fantastic most of the time- when Pa uses his spoon, Chas uses his spoon. When Pa says ‘thank you’ when his tea arrives at the table, Chas says thank you when it’s his turn…
This was all fantastic until one night Pa sneezed. At the time Chas had a mouthful of soup and copied the sneeze- spraying the whole table!
Any colour is fine by us- if I had to choose, maybe green. Thanks

When my daughter was around eight months old, we introduced her strawberries. With squeals of delight she loved them. Her face was stained RED..all over. After a while the squeals stopped..Eventually I looked around.Miss Millie had fallen asleep in the highchair, head first into the bowl of strawberries. All the excitment was too much!

It has to be the time,
I was dressed to go out to dinner,
First I had to feed Riley,
With him pumpkin was always a winner,
    He just loved his food,
    Eating was never an issue,
    He was gobbling it down,
Then- all of a sudden- a-tissue!!
He had a mouthful of orange goodness,
    And it went everywhere,
    All over my clothes,
On my face and in my hair,
    He cracked a big grin,
I guess I looked funny now,
    Laughing hubby took over,
And I retreated to the shower,
    And that day I learnt,
Get ready after he ate his veges,
‘Cause babies’ meals are messy but fun,
    Especially when they sneeze!

I would prefer green please, 2nd preference blue 🙂 Thankyou 🙂

Six months old and my daughter was a gem, the smile “butter wouldn’t melt in my mouth”. Sat on the chair at the kitchen table while I fetched a spoon the cheeky monkey eyed a box of freshly baked cookies. In seconds she pulled herself onto the table and grabbed a cookie, I turned back to find her stuffing it in her mouth, melted choc chip everywhere. She sure was quick.
I would love pink, but any colour would be awesome.

One split second can mean disaster,
I look back to find her covered in food,
Couldn’t help but explode in laughter.
Vegies and meat not long stewed,

Funniest eating moment: when my mum made a special bowl of delicious vegetables, with just the right amount of herbs for my 1 year old, who is actually a little princess and quite difficult to please. Indigo took a few bites before slowly pushing the food out of her mouth in a pile of colourful mush in front of her, along with an expression of disgust. Needless-to-say my mother was horrified. I on the other hand thought it was hilarious!

I was holding off introducing solids for out littlest she, however, had different ideas. I was enjoying some nori rolls while holding her one day and she swiped some pickled bean sprout off my plate and shoved it into her mouth and down the hatch faster than I could react. Whoops! Anyway I would dig pink 🙂

At 8 months my nephew started.. misbehaving whilst sitting in his high chair to eat his daily breakfast of Vegemite on toast.

Up until 8 months he loved sitting out on the deck in his high chair and eating while everyone else did – it made him feel like a big boy.. and he showed that’s what he thought with the big smiles he had on his face each and every meal!

One morning rather than munch down his toast with a smile on his face – he couldn’t help leaning over the edge of his high chair. We all thought he was just full of beans and wanted to get out and play.. which was unusual but feasible. He had one hand and his head hanging over the edge of the high chair, while the other arm was aimlessly reaching for another cube of toast. No matter how many times we sat him up, each time he would lean back over again.

When everyone else finished I was sitting outside with him – enjoying the sunshine and eating my breakfast also. All of a sudden the door swung open so I hopped up to shut it.

When I sat back in my seat – no more than a minute later, half of his breakfast was gone! No way he could have eaten it so quickly… and that left me pondering what happened to the rest of it. He was still sitting in his high chair, hanging over the edge, and looking at the ground.

Not a minute later I spotted something move in the garden next to me, and stood up to see what it was. The second I stood up to have a look – out of the garden sprinted my sisters Miniature Fox Terrier! She ran toward my nephews high chair, and he threw her a handful of toast.. I couldn’t believe my eyes! She quickly scoffed down all of the cubes of toast and ran back into the garden.

That explained why my nephew was leaning over his highchair, and where his toast disappeared too.. but where did the two of them learn this fun little game?

No sooner than I asked myself the question; his Nana stepped out of the door. ‘Candy!’ she yelled, and over ran the little Fox Terrier to clean up the remnants of the piece of toast she was tossed.

Who’s to blame for this little game?

My husband was getting in some ‘daddy practice’ with our nephew. I warned him to hold the bowl a few inches away from Baby Jack’s flailing limbs (very excitable eater) – my warning was met with a roll of his eyes and ‘how hard can it be’. Before you could say mushy peas and sweet potato, Baby Jack had karate chopped the bowl into my husband’s face . I must say it made a rather fetching face mask! Hopefully he gets better by the time our newborn is ready for solids!!

    Green, preferably!

I went to a girlfriends and the children and I were wandering around the yard. I came across a tree with tiny baby mandarins on it. “Look” I said and picked and peeled a few, giving some to my children and popping one in my mouth. Imagine our shock and horror to the terrible bitter and sour taste. The children were spitting them out and looking at me in shock. Our first ever meeting with cumquats.

Would love a pink set for my daughter. My toddler still calls Vegemite as Chocolate Spread because it’s the colour of Nutella which she has had on rare occasions. Of course, other family members need to remember that when my daughter asks for a choc sandwich, she actually means Vegemite!!

I would love to win for my 3 year old niece! She would love to have her special tableware when she comes to visit!
