My Baby Is A ……. Pink Or Blue?
It has been bought to my attention that after moving and not having internet for a few weeks I forgot to let my loyal readers know the sex of little squishy. For those who have recently started following 9 weeks ago I had my 20 week ultrasound and along with finding out we are expecting a big and healthy baby we also learnt if it’s a girl or boy. You may also remember on facebook me mentioning having to have my gestational diabetes test, well after fasting and having to endure the 2 hour test the results came back all clear! Not only is squishy healthy but I’m in good form as well J

As you know I already have 2 feral beautiful boys and there was no expectation or desire for squishy to be one flavour over the other. We were just hoping for the good news of your baby is healthy. Which we got and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

Declan and Kye are so excited to the big brothers to their soon-to-be little sister. Yes that’s right we are having a girl! We are very happy but we would have been happy even if it were another boy. So now that we know we are having a strawberry flavoured baby in June we have to get organised and start buying clothes and everything else we need. We have found choosing a name harder this round; it was easy picking the boys names.
Care to share your favourite girls’ name?

Congratulations! I have four daughters (and two sons) named Jessie, Isabella, Ebony and Evelyn (Evie). I think I could name a hundred girls! Current faves include: Ruby, Daisy, Lorelei, Eden and Josie.
Keep the list coming! hahaha. Our only problem is our surname is Kelly and every name we think we both like end in the y or ie, ee sound.
Congratulations on a precious pink bundle. I don’t think parents really care what they have. I had two names pick out for my daughter the one I didn’t use was Matilda Elisabeth shortened to Elise. Goodluck choosing a name.
Thanks so much Eleise. How did you manage to choose 2 names? hahaha We can’t manage one!
A little girl! just gorgeous Kel. We have a Mikala and a Jordan but if I had another baby now I would go with Bella or Emily.
Thanks Annaleis! I like all those names but cannot use any of them. hahaha. I have a cousin Mikala, sister Jordan, Friends Bella and Emily. Would love to hear more suggestions
I asked my Mikala and she said Sparkle Rose! But what about Stella (that was my Nannas name so was special to me) or Louise. I really would have so much trouble if we had another baby!
Popping by from Blogs and PR today
Sparkle Rose! Kids are so cute; my eldest boy is coming with some nice names as well, my youngest though has recently suggested we call her Space Slug! hahaha. Where do they come up with this stuff?
Congratulations on expecting a beautiful bundle of pink! That is something I have never been able to do, I am the proud Mumma of 4 very wonderful boys.
There are not going to be any more bubbas in this family but if I had have had a girl, I wanted to name her Jemima Grace. Hubby was never keen so I dont know what we would have done if I ever did have a girl.
Boys are so much fun aren’t they?! My husband and I are having the problem of we cannot think of any names and if we do we cannot agree on them. hahaha.
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! I had the feeling you were having a girl. There are lovely differences between boys and girls so now you will now get to experience the joys of both. I guess the worst part is the need to invest money in new girlie things rather than relying on the hand-me-down clothes and other items from the boys!
We had trouble picking girl names too and ended up going with Mikayla Jasmine and Tahlia Chloe. I tended to use websites to search for baby names, writing a list and then narrowing it down with my hubby.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and picking a name for your little pink bundle xx
Yes I remember telling me that a couple of months ago that you thought I was having a girl.
To be honest the idea of a girl scares the shit out of me!! Maybe it’s because I’m so used to the boys.
Thanks heaps Michelle. xx
Congrats, girls are lots of fun
Thanks so much Catie!!
Congratulations on your baby girl, you will have a ball buying heaps of pretty pink outfits and accessories!
Thanks Angie! It feels so strange buying pink stuff after years of blues, green and red!
I do like that there are more options for girls outfits though.
Congrats Kell on a baby girl. She is going to be so spoilt from you all.
Oh I know Salz! I think her big brothers will be the worst though, they are so excited.
Congrats to you. We have 3 boys, we never found out the sex of any of our kids. Our girls name was Tayla. Goodluck with choosing a name.
Thanks lovely, I didn’t want to find out with our first but my husband did so we found out and then from there I couldn’t imagine not knowing prior. Not that it has made picking a name easier this time round.
Congratulations and good luck on choosing a name xx
Thanks Beck! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Congratulations! My favourite girls name is Mackenzie. Don’t think I’ll ever get to use it though! – Aroha (#teamIBOT)
Thanks Aroha. A friend of ours has a daughter named Mackenzie, quite a pretty name and it suits her down to the ground! Thanks for stopping by.
Congratulations!! I have 3 granddaughters;Journey,Leona, and Sage.My daughter is Starla; My son Jet.My grandson,Gabriel. If i had a third,I picked Sky.I like the name Merry(instead of Mary)but she would have to spell it her whole life! What about the old Seinfeld episode where George picked the name Six.What about Seven? Get a baby name book! Good luck.
Some gorgeous names you have there! My MIL suggested seven, it’s not one that I would use myself. I think I may have to invest in a baby name book, there are so many names out there to choose from. Thanks so much for stopping by Kristi
Congratulations! It will be alot of fun picking out some frilly stuff for a change!
hahaha yeah it is still a bit surreal buying girly stuff.
Congratulations! can you just imagine all the gorgeous, frilly little outfits you can buy for her now – I would be in baby girl shopping overload! Good luck picking a name – you’ll “just know” when the right one comes along xx
Josefa from #teamIBOT

Congratulations!!!! So exciting for you!
As for names, I can’t help. It was hard enough naming our four!
Thanks heaps Jess
That’s wonderful news Kell!! Congratulations. I hope you are feeling well. If Ollie was to be a girl he would have been named Olivia or Zoe. Look forward to hearing more about it xxxx
Thanks Leigh! I’m feeling really good, loving the pregnant figure
Oh how lovely.Baby news is so nice and glad you got a strawberry flavour- they are amazing. I also have a boy and he is equally amazing
Thanks Nico! There is just something about babies isn’t there that makes everything shiney. They are simply amazing. xx
We found picking a boys name was much easier. We had a shortlist for our daughter, but it wasn’t until 3 days after she was born that we finally picked something!
I was getting the feeling it was only us that struggled with girls names and found picking the boys easier! Thanks Janet for letting me know I’m not alone
Congratulations! I think naming your kids gets progressively more difficult as you go along. If I’d have had my way the Little Sister would have been Camille. Good luck choosing! x
Thanks so much
I now understand why my youngest sister was nameless for a week after she born. Mum ran out of names after the first 4 of us. hahaha.
Congratulations! So very exciting for you. I have two daughters (and a son) named Ellie and Kahlei – pronounced Kaylee (poor love). And, I wanted to call Kahlei Aurora but hubs wouldn’t have it so it’s her middle name.
Oh and popping in from Blogs and PR from TUST (finally)
Thanks for stopping by Becky! I like the name Kaylee but we know someone named that so it’s out for us
Congratulations!! How exciting a little girl!! There is hope for us yet!! We are expecting another in Nov but still early days for us but with two boys already it would be nice to have a pink baby next!!I have a few girls names on my list:
Harper, Peyton, Addyson, Anthea, Audrey, Imogen, Indianna, Mackenzie, and Olive. With Middle name being Katie-Rose!!
Good luck deciding on a name I know how hard it can be
-Kristy
