This is an age group I haven’t yet had to purchase for where girls are concerned as my daughter is only one. However there are so many things available for them. I have shared all my favourites (and those of the girls I know) in this Christmas gift guide for girls.

You cannot beat Barbie. I think at one point in our lives we have all had one and I’m sure for generations to come little girls will still ask for them. I love that Barbie is affordable and you can get them almost everywhere. RRP $10.00

What young girl doesn’t enjoy beads? Better yet why wouldn’t she and her friends love threading them on their hair? The gift that keeps on giving. Available from many retailers but currently available at Toy Universe (online) for only $13.50.

Glamour Girl Make-Up Kit is a great way to keep those growing fingers away from your beauty products. Looking for something plush this Christmas?

I have previously mentioned on the blog how shows from my childhood are making a comeback and I am now watching my children enjoy the same TV shows. Everything from Power Rangers and Smurfs to Ninja Turtles. As a child Ninja Turtles was one of my absolute favourite shows. Seriously how could it not be? They were awesome! Which is why I’m pretty excited by a toy that is out just in time for Christmas. The heroes in a half shell have gotten a makeover and have combined forces with Pillow Pet to create a wonderful snuggly pillow Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. They are available in all 4 turtles; Dontallelo (Purple), Leonardo (Blue), Raphael (Red) and Michaelangelo (Orange). As you can see my daughter loves the Leonardo pillow pet and will more than likely fight her big brother for it who is getting it for Christmas. Something for the littlies? Well how about some gorgeous plush bumblebees from the ABC kids show The Hive. There are 4 of these cute and cuddly characters available; Barnabee, Buzzbee, Rubee and Postman Spider. I love how they are brightly coloured and each have their own little personality about them. Air Hogs for Christmas

I know you don’t want to hear it but I’m going to say it anyway! Christmas is on the way and at full speed it appears as well. Where has this year gone? There are only 91 days until Xmas. This means I really need to get my gift list organised and start shopping. Usually I am quite prepared however this year as we had a baby a few months ago it has really taken the focus off everything else and left me doing the mad woman last minute rush. Now what do you buy for a 6 and 4 year old boys? There are so many awesome new products on the market and of course they are all on the boys’ wish list.

I do know that the Air Hogs Hover Assault Ejects are at the top of their list which in all honesty I can understand. It looks awesome! Roughly 12 months ago my boys saved up their pocket money and bought themselves the remote control helicopters which I am pleased to say are still in full working order. They are constantly being used and are definitely well loved; I am beyond impressed by the quality of Air Hogs products and wouldn’t hesitate in purchasing more. The great thing about Air Hogs remote control helicopters and the Hover Assault Eject is that they are not only great for kids but for the man child or more commonly known as husband/dad; it keeps them all amused for hours. The helicopters are so much fun and the Hover Assault Eject is even better! Not only can it drive, it can fly and eject the wheels off while firing. These are safe to use indoors which is handy if it is too windy outside.

The Air Hogs Hover Assault will be under the tree this year and I know they will be huge hit. What is at the top of your childrens wish lists this year?

My Latest Accessory!

I know it has been quiet around here lately and I will explain more about why in the coming weeks. Life has been busy, stressful, hectic, full, exciting, etc. and I haven’t quite had the chance to catch my breath yet. As I said I will explain it ALL soon.

As for the post today – I thought I would share with you my favourite new accessory. It’s a P3 Led Lenser torch! Would you call that an accessory? Well for the purpose of this post I am anyway so there :p

I was lucky enough to be sent one from Mister Minit – did you know they did more than key cutting and shoe repairs? I didn’t and I must say I now see them in a new light. Hahaha get it? Light – because I love their torch? Yeah lame I know but I am in one of those moods right now.

This torch is powerful! I took it camping last weekend and it was like walking with a spotlight in front me. I love the size of it as it is small enough to fit in my handbag, the car, basically anywhere. With Christmas coming up very quickly I must say that this would make a great present for any man, boy or woman. Dads, brothers, uncles, teachers, etc. Oh and the best bit about this torch is the price – You can purchase it from Mister Minit for only $19.95 (BARGAIN) and it comes with 5 year warranty!
