Tips to Get Him Looking Good for Valentine’s Day
Ever since I have known my husband, a mere 13 years, he has always put effort into his appearance. Whether it is by wearing matching clothes (sometimes this can be a stretch), keeping his beard shaved/tidy or styling his hair. Regardless how he had his hair cut, he would always style it with some form of gel, putty or gum. Even now after many years of marriage he still likes to look his best and this of course means having a wide selection of men’s hair products to achieve the required look. My boys who are currently in school (aged 8 & 6), they see their Dad taking pride in his appearance and of course they also like to have their hair styled for school. I am a firm believer in it never being too early to take pride in your appearance.
Anyway, back to my husband. I am very fortunate to have married a man who doesn’t want to look like he just woke up and put on yesterday’s pants. He has a shower, gets dressed and then beautifies himself. Not that he does a lot of ‘prep work’, it’s the effort that I notice. Thankfully he isn’t one of those guys who hogs the mirrors or has to stop and check himself out every 5 minutes to make sure a hair hasn’t fallen out of place. He has a shave, does his hair and he is ready for whatever the day has in store for him.

My husband and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day as we were both previously chefs and were always working so it has never been an important for us. However I know Valentine’s Day is crucial to some couples and with it coming up awfully quick I thought I’d share a couple of tips for getting your man looking great, even if it is just for one night. (Just pass these small ideas on to him)
Tips to Get Him Looking Good for Valentine’s Day
- A lot of men don’t know that they can style their hair to suit their style. Many brands including Lynx have a range of men’s hair products that include: spiked up, natural, messy, clean cut and so much more. Styling hair doesn’t have to take ages. Seriously, you can do it in a matter of minutes. Rub a small amount of gel/wax in your hands and then run your hands through your hair. Adjust a couple of stray hairs and you are done.
- Use deodorant! Add a spritz of cologne if you are really keen to get your lady excited.
- Wear something you don’t wear every day. You’ll feel good and she will feel like you dressed up for her.
- The most important thing is to bring your smile!
Does your man like to look his best? Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day?
