LeapFrog My Puppy Pal + GIVEAWAY

Opening her Christmas presents Poppet squealed with joy when she ripped off the wrapping to her very own LeapFrog My Puppy Pal, Violet. No other presents mattered, she had everything she needed. This is no ordinary Puppy Pal though; it has been personalised. That’s right, you can now get the much loved Puppy Pal in a customised version.

LeapFrog My Puppy Pal

The LeapFrog My Puppy Pal Scout (green) and Violet (purple) feature amazing educational technology that can be customised to suit your childs’ personality. These gorgeous little puppies can be personalised to encourage little ones to interact and engage in dialogue by incorporating the childs’ name and favourite things (food, colours, animals, songs, etc). The best thing is it only takes a couple of minutes, seriously about 3!! You can even customise it while it is still in the box; making the LeapFrog Puppy Pal an excellent gift!

LeapFrog My Puppy Pal

Poppet plays with Violet everyday, has since learnt 3 different animal sounds and loves to interact with her little puppy friend. The LeapFrog Puppy Pal teaches children about emotions by telling the child “I am happy ‘Childs name’ will you smile with me?” or “I am feeling sad, can I please have a hug?”. It discusses daily routines by talking about things you do at certain times of the day, counting and even switches to lullaby mode.

LeapFrog My Puppy Pal

The lullaby mode is used most nights here by Poppet. She pushes the lullaby button on Violets’ foot, lays down and drifts off to sleep. This bedtime feature is amazing because it gives you the option of playing soft gentle music for 5, 10 or 15 minutes by simply pressing the foot once, twice or three times. It is the perfect bedtime pal.

  • I love that it can be customised to help teach your child about emotions etc, very important.

  • I like the lullaby feature and how it has different lengths of time! Nothing worse than bub waking up towards the end of the lullaby and trying to sneak in for it to replay! :)

  • I love that it can be personalised with your child’s name, which means it’s more likely the child will identify with the toy and make it their very special play time and bed time buddy! Sounds like a toy that will last forever!

  • I love the lullabye feature, calming and soothing.
    Drifting off to sleep, yawning………….zzz
A little friend to snuggle with at nightime,
A great idea, Leapfrog, products that shine :)

  • The ‘song’ feature is amazing, makes for wonderful interactive play and can also be used as a ‘soother’ when mum can’t immediately drop everything to give attention or play.

  • Personalisation for things that matter,
    Opens up dialogue,
    Smart useful chatter.
    Interaction is key,
    To the learning process.
    LeapFrog have nailed it,
    With this concept.

  • I love that you can personalise and update the songs played. There’s only so many times I can hear Jingle Bells and it keeps it fresh for bubs too :)

  • Would like to get a Leapfrog toy ad think it’s cuddly &could teach our lad to be compassionate to all things

  • The fact that they can be personalised to help children interact, great for a child with special needs.

  • Baby number three just got here
All he has is second hand gear
The personalised feature is for me
A toy of his own he’d love to see!!

  • That it can be customised to suit my childs personality AND it’s super cute too. Why couldn’t this have been around when I was little?????

  • I love that it can be customised (what a great idea), but I’m pretty sure my daughter would love the fact that it’s purple and so cute!

  • What an impressive little puppy this is! Leap Frog just continue to churn out toys of wonder and amazement. Not only is this the cutest little friend to hug, hold and carry all over the place but it hosts tons of fun with its interactive songs, sounds and fun phrases enhancing sensory development, eye-hand co-ordination and fine motor skills. I love how it helps introduces the newest generation to the world around them. This sounds like too much fun for just the kids I think I might have to stop in at Myer tomorrow just to have a little bit of a play myself!! Ha, ha!!!

  • The ‘song’ feature is amazing, makes for wonderful interactive play and can also be used as a ‘soother’ when mum can’t immediately drop everything to give attention or play.

(I repeated my entry as I believe I may have used wrong e-mail address on first entry.)

  • Natasha has problems sharing her emotions and the LeapFrog Personalised My Puppy Pal Scout would help her be more confident about opening up

  • I love that you can personalise it to suit your own child so that they have things in common.

  • I love that it can be personalised.
Would make learning so much fun.
A great journey would be shared
by Puppy Pal Scout and my son!

  • Our little Miss saw Violet and melted. “Ooohh she’s so cute, adordable (adorable). I love her”. So apart from all her other teaching features which will certainly let her interact happily, she just wants her to cuddle and hold. She would get a kick out of then realising she talks and has conversations. Her tea parties will be extra special.

  • I love the fact that it encourages little ones to interact and engage in dialogue….express feelings and emotions.

  • I have a beautiful 3 year old granddaughter who loves a hug and a chat and I think My Pal Scout is ideal for her as he is very cute, adorable and great for teaching children practical things like the alphabet, emotions and children can give Scout hugs.

  • Considering I’m totally tone deaf which sadly my kids have informed me, I am banned from singing anywhere near them. Even though I’m in denial I better do the right thing and shut up…so as not to traumatize miss 4 so my puppy pat scout needs to take over from me now in the lullaby dept. I love how interactive he is to the point of being personalized to my daughters wants and needs. A best friend in the making.

  • personalise is the key because my kids and many others have unique names and finally they would have something they will cherish forever and we could add more songs so it will last a lifetime they could then hand onto their own kids

  • all children like to feel special just like all adults do, it always feels so nice to have something personalised just for you.

  • Love how it can teach children about emotions, Tho we teach children about them, making it a fun way always helps. Who wouldnt fall in love with this little cutie

  • I love that Scout (or Violet) are new and clean – unlike “Santa Bear” who is being dragged everywhere with us and quite frankly could do with being replaced. February seems like a good month to move him on.

  • I like the expressing of feelings, its good for kids to know sometimes its ok to be sad as well as happy :)

  • The lullabies will help put miss 16 months to sleep of a night time instead of FROZEN which she has worn out.

  • The fact that it is soft and cuddly. All the features are fantastic and I Iove that it can be personalised but the ability of my baby to get a cuddle from it or snuggle into it as it sings him to sleep is really important to me.

  • My 15 month old daughter gets sooo excited over the little dog next door and start making barking sounds. She would love My Puppy Pal!

  • Where were these kind of toys when I was a kid? I’m impressed.
I think it is important that My Puppy Pal teaches kids about emotions, something they really dont know how to express – often it comes out it negative ways but Id hope with Leapfrog play it would change all that.

  • I too love the customisable feature! With a house of 6 girls, often toys become everyone’s and I’d love for my youngest to have something that she identifies as only hers. Sure she’ll have to – and will hopefully want to – share it, but it’s just nice to have something all of your own, a toy that seemingly KNOWS it’s hers :P

  • Definitely the emotions feature – children dont always know how to tell people if they are feeling sad or angry so this will definitely help them express these feelings

  • Victor is always looking for hugs. That Scout asks for one will make his day (after we talk about how sad we are that Scout feels sad etc).

  • I love that it can be personalised but I think the lullaby function may trump that. I mean if something else is going to out your child to sleep beside you then that is gold (or green in this case!)
