I have a love of fresh new linen, towels and bath mats. This trait has also been passed onto my kids so when we purchase new towels we ensure we get a new one for each of the kids as well.
Most recently however Aden and Anais asked me to review one of their toddler towels and I couldn’t say no, as everything else I have used from them has been amazing quality. The toddler towel is no exception.
The bath towel is a generous size at 127cm x 76cm and being a rectangular shape like regular towels, it is perfect for growing children. I am amazed by how soft and gentle the Aden and Anais toddler towel is. It is made from absorbent terry and a cotton muslin edge. It gets softer every time you wash it and being machine washable it is not only practical but also so easy to take care of.
There are 5 different prints to choose from but I decided to go with the fluro pink star design for my daughter because she is currently obsessed with pink and stars are just fun. Each print is just as cute as the next though and there is something to suit every little toddlers interests. The scariest things about bath time is the potential of the poo iin the bath. All three of mine have done it in the past and it’s messy and horrible… And you then have to go through the process of giving them another bath.
Lots of bubbles and making bubble beards…always lots of fun!
Little bloke in the bath when he was a little tacker and he farted and out came a floater. Funny for all it was, and my wife gagging, trying not to spew while screaming at me to pick it up and get it out. Thinking about it now has me laughing
For me the scariest time was that first bath with bub #1, at home, alone, just me, no nurses in the hospital to oversee. Soooo many worries were going through my head, over soaping then him sliding out of my hands under the water one of them (although too shallow, but still in my over active ‘new mum’ mind).
My son love splashing and throwing water everywhere, I let him as it is fun. On this one occasion I didnt know that he had done a poo..and yes I ended up with a big splash of poo
When I was young my eldest sister left a razor on the edge of the bath so I decided to ‘shave’ my legs just like her. Blood everywhere and mum wasn’t impressed, let’s just say 20+ years later my sister still hasn’t forgiven me (She got into serious trouble LOL)
It wasn’t in the bath but in the ocean. Hubby and I each had a hold of our daughter’s hands and standing in the water when a huge wave came and knocked her out of our hands and she rolled in the surf. We grabbed her and it quickly happened again! Needless to say we got out quicksmart.
Sitting in a spa with my little sister and she decided to throw up. Vomit bubbles everywhere!!
Watching my son help bath his new sister and thinking what a special moment it was and then she farts in the bath! He was in fits of laughter 🙂
Ooh I love new fluffy towels to wrap my babes in, my son would love the blue one.
When my oldest Son was about two years old and in the bath, he got very upset and I found a nugget in the water!! He was actually scared of it but I thought it was so funny!
I normally bathe my infant in the sink and once…to my horror…his head accidentally knocked against the tap and all hell broke loose when he screamed the house down. Now both my husband and I have to bathe him together.
Having a bath with my then 3 year old son and we both fluffed, little me was farting just like me.
Watching my kiddies do the slip and slide in the bath and it bringing back so many fun memories of my own…I wish I could still do that lol 😀
The scariest thing is bathing all three at the same time (5,3 and 3 months old) and realising while you are wrangling the 5yo, the 3yo has pulled the 3 month down the bath recliner and she is now drinking grotty bathwater. Nice and germy (and a little but drowny!).
Funniest Bathtime moment was daughters first bubble bath. She would put bubbles on her hand and attempt to blow them, and every time she did i would gently knock her hand up so she ended up with bubbles all over her face. She couldn’t stop laughing, and when she laughed, everybody else laughed too.

my funniest was putting a clean 6 week old baby on the towel and having him poo. Straight back in the bath!

I am always petrified of the dreaded slip and dunk.
My son loves to drink the bath water! He is constantly rolling onto his tummy so he can slurp it up, anyone would think we did not offer him drinks. It is scary for us because he is heavy and hard to control and at 8 months we don’t really like to see face plants into the bath and the associated red face and coughing, thereis always that desperate moment when you like cough buddy cough
My funniest/cutest bath time moment is watching my two little girls playing “mermaids” in the bath! They get really into the game and think they are diving right down to the bottom of the sea, when really their eyes aren’t even under the water, just tightly closed! So cute!
My little one releases in the bath so much we often have to catch her poo! Or if we don’t get it in time, clean the whole tub and start again!

Scariest!! My son was in the bath, aged 2 and as I turned for 2 seconds to grab the towel he had scrambled out of the bath, slipped and smacked the back of his head on the floor! Emergency rush to the hospital but he was fine! Phew
Bubs loved the warm bath but screamed the house down when we pulled her out of the water. I tried every trick I had to distract and divert attention, but the real winner was a hot water bottle in a soft towel – sounds like Aden and Anais have a perfect option.
Bubbles are always fun but when you leave the bubble mixture in with a toddler it is beyond a joke.
The funniest moment was at home when my toddler barged into the bathroom when Daddy was having a shower. To my mortification, my son reports to me Daddy has become an elephant because he has a trunk!

scariest was when my little girl was only 4 weeks old and i was giving her a bath, as she was lying in my arm and was slowly sliding into the water i got a worst cramp in my both legs and got paralysed, couldn’t moved, lucky hubby was at home and i called out for help, those few seconds till he arrived from upstairs were the worst of my life, i could see her falling out of my arms and drowning while i collapsed on the floor. Took me a long time after that to bath her when i was alone, lucky it never happened again
My back went out right in the middle of bathtime leaving us both vulnerable. Luckily hubby arrived home right then!
I was so frightened with my first bathing for the first time I was worried she was gonna slip out of my grip
like a slug in a bath, the toddler slipped amd landed with bum in the air and my hands playing peek a boo with their face
I love my essential oils, and love making an Aromatherapy bath with them too. When I first started and didn’t really know what I was doing, I added a few too many drops of orange oil in my bath, and because I didn’t disperse it properly it floated on the surface. This then had a not so pleasant burning sensation on some of my skin – not the relaxing bath I’d planned by a long shot! I’ve since learnt a great deal about essential oils and how best to use them for best health benefits. A little tip: When making an Aromatherapy bath – add them to a little dish of milk and give a little mix before adding the milk & oil mix to the bath. The milk helps to disperse the oils evenly throughout the bath, and is also considered to be moisturising for the skin. So there you have it, a story & a tip! 🙂
Every moment is scary for me..having a prem baby with them being so tiny scares me at bath time. I’m a nervous first time mum as it is! One slip or noise does it for me.
My little girl occasionally “pops off” in the bath and the look of delight on her face when she sees she’s created her own spa is hilarious. She always covers her mouth and giggles. Not bad for a one year old!
Bathtime is always chaos at our house with 3 small people to get clean, it’s full of squeals, soaked bathmats, bubbles on the ceiling (that everyone denies knowledge of) and water everywhere!
Bathing your baby for the first time is a scary time. You feel like you might hurt them or do something wrong. Luckily it’s also a beautiful time, especially when baby loves the water!! 🙂
The scariest bath time for me was when I was a child my sister and I were in the bath and she slipped and cracked her forehead open on the soap dish, there were blood curdling screams and we were literally in a blood bath! I’m ever so careful of my kids in the bath!
My son is going through the giggly nudey run stage. Unfortunately his baby sister thinks this is absolutely hilarious and has started to copy by ‘flashing’ after her bath.

The scariest bath time moment happened last week when I was showering while my husband was washing our bub in the bath. All of a sudden I spotted 2 long brown floating objects (we don’t have any brown bath toys so I knew instantly that it was poo!!!!). I could not stop laughing at how quickly my husband grabbed our bub out of the water and then stood there in dismay looking at the floaters in the warm water! I still chuckle when I think about the look on my husband’s face!
I was petrified of bathing my son when he was a newborn. He’s my first and the thought of me (unco fool that I am) bathing a tiny, slippery human didn’t sit well with me. So that was Daddy’s job for a while lol
The scariest bathtime experience was when my son slipped and smashed his head on the side of the bath 🙁
Scariest and funniest moment was when my husband was bathing our 6 week old daughter and she pooed in the bath and the noise of her pooing scared him so much he almost dropped her in the water, he then commenced gagging until I took over.
My son received an Aden and Anais toddler towel when he was born, and nearly four years on he still loves it. I’d love to win one with pink stars for my nearly two year old so they can both have cuddly towels.
Try 2! Funniest moment- my son saying saying “Why doesn’t my sister have a willy? Maybe she’ll get one for Christmas.” Sorry fella, probably not!
My son would scream if I took the plug out of the bath before getting him out, he thought he would go down the plug hole!!
Last summer we made our own bicarbonate soda bath paints the boys had so much fun. I tried to take an arty photo of their ‘art’ on the wall in black and white but it just looked like they had been painting I blood on the wall …….not the arty look I was going for but we all had fun!

The first time my son went in the ‘big bath’ it must have soothed his colicky belly so much he had an explosion and everything went orange eeewww!
It was fun introducing baby to the big bath with big sister! Big sister then washing the baby with her watering can!

When I tell my 20 month old its time to get out the bath he looks at me and say ‘byeee’ in his little voice – letting me know he wants me to leave the bathroom so he can stay in longer (my husband is in the bathroom bathing him).
We put so much bubble bath in the spa bath and flooded the whole bathroom and hallway
When my nephew was 6, he decided he was too big to have a bath. “I want to be like Daddy!” Confused, my sister finally worked out that her young son thought Dad didn’t bath because when the water bill came her husband said “that’s it I’m not even having a bath anymore!” Little ones are always listening.
