New Year’s celebrations are not just about partying and staying up late; for many, it is an opportunity to catch up with friends, relax a bit and let the kids enjoy themselves. And of course, fireworks!

Fireworks NYE Newcastle and Hunter Valley


Newcastle

As you would expect, Newcastle always puts on a great show.

With entertainment for everyone, the Newcastle Foreshore is not going to disappoint. With the NYE fireworks being launched from Griffiths Park, Stockton again this year, the Newcastle Foreshore will offer some of the best views.
Live music – 5-9pm.
Entertainment – Funhouse (interactive zone), Inflatable Land, Sensory Zone and market stalls.
Food – 6pm – 9pm with food and drinks available from food vans.
Fireworks – 9pm

Maitland

Expecting to be even better than last year, Maitland has a family friendly event organised that will keep you and your kids entertained right through to the evening when the fireworks display commences.

If you want good food and free activities, than Maitland is your ‘go to’ for Hunter Valley New Year’s Eve Celebrations.

Taking place along the bank of Maitland River and The Levee, you will find the following activities:
• Live music
• FREE amusement rides
• Kids craft
• Face painting
• And so much more

Get down there early as the event kicks off at 5.00pm.
Don’t forget to stay for the huge fireworks display at 9pm!

Hunter Valley Gardens

If you haven’t been to see the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular yet, tonight is the perfect night to do so because at 9pm they have the most amazing display fireworks!

Make a night of it and a memory your kids won’t forget.


Paterson

For families local to Paterson, make sure you check out the Hunter Valley New Year’s Eve celebrations being held at Tucker Park, Paterson.
With gates opening at 4.00pm and children’s programs starting at 7.00pm, families will enjoy live music, singing, dancing, amusement rides, face painting and much more.

Worried you might get hungry? Don’t be, there are food and drinks available to purchase.
To ensure everyone is catered to, Paterson have two fireworks displays – the main fireworks at 9.00pm and another to welcome 2019 at midnight!

Entry fee: $15 family, $5 adult
