Sleep and Bath with Brauer and Baby + GIVEAWAY

09/09/2013 By All Mum Said 48 Comments

Up until a couple of months ago I had never heard of Brauer let alone used their products. I discovered the brand when I attended a Bloggers Brunch back in July which turned out to be perfect timing considering I had a 5 week old baby and they were showcasing their baby products. I have been using the Brauer Baby SleepyTime Bath since and absolutely love it. If I’m being honest I have actually used it in my bath also. It smells great, it’s relaxing and because it has no nasty chemicals in it it is very gentle on babies sensitive skin.

It is rich in honey, shea butter and paw paw so you know it will leave your babies skin soft and smelling great – naturally. My bub loves bath time and knowing that this is so safe for her, soap free and contains no petro-chemicals it makes me happy as well. The new Brauer baby range doesn’t stop there though – it has baby bath & body wash, baby shampoo, baby massage oil and of course the baby SleepyTime Bath. You can find the selection of Brauer products in the baby section of your local Woolworths or online at Brauer.

Isn’t she cute? hahaha

The lovely staff at Brauer have kindly given me 3x Sleepy Time Bath with the duck included to giveaway to 3 lucky Mad Mummas readers. (1 per winner)

To enter all you have to do is follow the instructions on the rafflecopter below. Winner is decided based on skill and chance plays no part. Australian residents only! Sorry everyone else. **The mandatory instructions MUST be completed or your entry will be void!**

a Rafflecopter giveaway

GOOD LUCK!

Holding him skin on skin really close to my chest, the sound of my beating heart and the rhythm of my breathing soothes him while I stroke his hair.

Holding him close to me, then me starting to do deep breathes, he soon follows…. and slowly we breath in unison, as he relaxes and goes to sleep (He is my newest grandson).

To be certain of keeping baby content
Would be a triumph so we must invent
Ways to soothe, like a nice warm bath
A full tummy, sleepy time at last
Lots of soothing pats, soft song to sing
A night light flickering little shapes does bring
Contentment wrapped up nice and tight
But please don’t sneeze, she’ll wake with fright

My Grandson Will , five weeks, loves to have time on my daughter,s chest and tummy, just cooing and chatting away to her. He is a real cuddle bunny and he likes to hang around anywhere he thinks there might be food in store.

When my hair is nearly gone, from pulling at it so,
My eyes are weepy from bubs not settling, I don’t know where to go,
So all wrapped up , cosy and warm, I take her for a walk,
The rhythm of the pram like the rhythm on a train where there is no longer talk,
Her cries subside as sleep claims its bride..
The sun warms me again, deep breath, relief I know I can do this..
    Mother and child are Zen.

A nice warm bath, followed by a gentle massage, a bottle and some special mummy cuddles & kisses (butterfly kisses are her favorite, she giggles) while stroking her hair and she is relaxed and ready for sleep.

I don’t care when strangers can’t tell if my son is a boy or a girl. I know that just a few minutes of gently combing his long hair will send him to sleep and that means no more tantrums and tears at bedtime.

Jersey Boys! When I was pregnant with my little boy we went and saw the stage show of Jersey Boys and I bought the CD. I listened to it in the car during pregnancy and worked out early on that lullabies just didn’t cut it! But as soon as he heard Jersey Boys he immediately calmed down! I just have to make sure I skip track 2 with the inappropriate word- ha ha!

Unusual as it sounds, when ever I put on the vacuum cleaner he would always calm down and fall in asleep. When my hubby looked after him his go to solution if he couldn’t get him to sleep.
