Welcome to the September edition of the Aussie Giveaway Linkup!!
We had a heap of great comps linking up last month and this month will be even better – starting with the one below.
Toddler Toys – Fun, Educational and Interactive
What kids doesn’t love new toys? Exactly. None.
Like any parent, from mid-year I am on the lookout for exciting new toys that I can put away for Christmas. Scouting for sales that will save us money. In search of toys and activities that will educate and keep my kids entertained.
Toddler toys – the next step
My 9 month old is getting into everything. Cupboards, stairs, boxes and to my older children’s dismay, their bedrooms. I think that because she is now getting around on her own, she has become Miss Independent and as a result has grown bored with her baby toys.
This was bound to happen but I hadn’t seen anything that looked like it would entertain her for the new few months, until she reaches that next milestone and wants more grown up toys.
VTech toddler toys – bright and bubbly
Orbs has been using a few VTech toys lately and absolutely loves them.
Rattle & Roll Racer – RRP $24.95ea
The Rattle & Roll Racer is fantastic because it offers bub a few different way to play. The cute little car is interactive and encourages Orbs to chase it around. The driver that sits in the car doubles as a rattle and when you shake him the car races forwards and backwards. It even keeps my 7 and 9 year old’s entertained.
The little race car features fun phrases, sounds, flashing lights and sing-alongs that encourage bub to engage and learn. Orbs loves the boys’ Hot Wheels cars but this is quickly becoming a favourite!
Push & Play Spinning Top – RRP $29.95ea
I think at one point or another, we have all owned a spinning top. Mine was never this fancy though.
This one has push buttons that light up and teach different animals, sounds, shapes and colours. By pressing down the plunger it spins the animals around and around while singing songs to baby. Each animal introduces itself and teaches bub its sounds and distinguishing features. The phrases and songs encourage exploration and discovery while the movements enhance motor skills and teaches sensory development.
We love the latest range of VTech toddler toys. They are fun, educational and most importantly, affordable!

Another great giveaway Kell. If only I had little ones. Sharing now with my friends who do.
Look how much she has GROWN! Enjoy those little years. I miss it already. Some gorgeous little playthings and she looks like she’s having a ball!
Indeed, ANYTHING can entertain them! My little ones (both under 3) love empty boxes — from tissue, to cake mixes, and even nappy boxes! Uses only get limited by their imagination. 🙂
Our dog! Obsessed doesn’t cut it, the pup gets followed everywhere. Luckily he is very patient and is a protector of his human baby
Currently my 11mth olds favourite thing is our lounge. She has learnt to pull herself up onto it and slide back down. She finds this rather funny and does it multiple times all the while i’m worried she is going to fall off and hurt herself but she has no fear!
A box, cardboard, no Im not kidding, puts things in, takes them out, repeat.
Beaded Jewellery fascinates them……especially when I’m wearing it!
My 4 month old loves playing with my hair. Nothing gives him more pleasure than yanking at my split ends.
My Tupperware/plastics drawer
Shoes, my thongs, my slippers and absolutely always Mummies high heels because they’re too nice not to be chewed.
My phone, it’s like a beacon of entertainment to our little miss.
The dog and cat biscuits! many hours have been spent in the bottom of the pantry hand feeding the animals laughing his little head off, loves it
He loves playing in the Tupperware drawer and pulling out all of the bits and pieces. He loves banging on them and making a HUGE mess!
I’m pregnant with my first child so don’t really have a favourite toy/play yet, but I’m hoping bub’s favourite activity will be helping his mummy cook!
The second drawer in the kitchen….the one with every gadget known to man. I find peelers in the pantry, funnels in the fridge and even a grater under the griller.
Spoons, they are lots of fun I never knew how much you could do with a spoon, firstly eating so always great to have one handy, digging, making music, my toddler loves them
My makeup! She likes to sit next to me when I’m getting ready and try out her own interesting makeup looks.
My two little misses love playing with my pottery garden cows, one of which has a slot in it’s back like a money box slot, the girls love posting leaves and flowers into the slot.
My little one is chewing everything at the moment, give him a wooden spoon and he’s content (until he drops it ?).
Keys! Shaking them making NOISE! Sometimes it’s a savior whipping out keys to distract and entertain them. But when key’s become lost… That’s another story!
My toddler loves an IKEA Collander! Its a hat, a basket, a bath toy, a bed for Molly for the Dolly! One easily pleased toddler!
Pots and pans provide such simple JOY! I just wish I could say the same for my ears and the consequential ringing in my head!
Pots and pans and wooden spoons! Beating on the back of the pan for drums, rattling on the inside for a different sound, and mum singing (very) badly!
What does a little princess love more that some dangling bling!! Once dangling earrings catch her eye she will do anything to get in your arms and give them a shake and try to take off with them, Ouchies! Something new to excite and amuse her would be a very welcome thing.
My daughter used to love a sand filled doorstopper I had in the shape of a cow. Dragged it around everywhere!
An empty tissue box. He loves throwing it around and banging on it. Keeps him entertained for ages.
Our daughters a real little lady with a love for shoes, handbag straps and mummy’s necklace. That cheeky smile makes it VERY hard to deny her!
My son likes a wooden spoon. Great for tapping and gnawing on!
Besides my saucepans he loves to play with my pegs and laundry basket
my grand son loves to play with the saucepans and spoons
My keys seem to be the best at the moment
My beauty essentials, be it mascara or blush
Cotton wool pads, and even my brush
Lipstick and glosses in a range of hues
Seem to provide entertainment and amuse!
