Unique Gifts For Dad This Father’s Day

gifts for dad

I don’t know about you but I find Father’s Day shopping for the kids increasingly difficult.

I want something more than the same old boring socks and jocks, and let’s be honest my husband does too. (Even though he would never ever say it)

What does dad want for Father’s Day?

The problem I find when searching gifts for dad is that they are typically focused on one particular kind of dad. Not all dads are sporty, nerdy, gameaholics or businessmen. They are all different and my husband falls under many different categories.
Here are just some of the things on our potential list this year.

Style dad

The style dad wants his ‘space’ to represent more than just a boring room. He wants it to include personality and flare. What better way to achieve this than with a minimalist wall-mounted deer head lamp?

During the day it appears to be a simple stylish accessory but at night is when it shows its real beauty. The warm soft glow of the deer head wall lamp just adds some class to your dads décor.
RRP $49.95

Tech dad

The tech dad likes life to be convenient and easy. Technology is at the forefront of his interests.

Don’t let dad be caught out by picking up his phone to answer it while driving. The easy hold hands-free magnet allows him to have his phone securely mounted in a convenient spot in his car with minimal fuss.
RRP $8.95

Coffee dad

Dad needs his coffee to concentrate and focus his attention to what is really important at work and around the home. Ensure his coffee stays hot with a ThermoCafeTM by Thermos. The double wall travel mug will make his day more convenient and the spill-proof lid guarantees no leaks or accidents.
RRP $9.95

Prankster dad

The joker dad – he thinks he is hilarious and constantly shares his ‘not so funny’ one liners. He loves practical jokes and novelty items. He would not be disappointed if he received toilet golf or a zombie gnome. Mum might not be thrilled but dad’s new gnome may just become the centerpiece of the yard, as it adds some fun to your typical suburban garden.
RRP $19.95

Office dad

Dad works long hours and needs some stress relief. A Newton’s Cradle is the perfect gift to add some fun and relaxation to the office. It will let dad’s mind wander off for a bit and let that spark of imagination flare before getting back to work.
Tick tock… tick tock…
RRP $18.95

Luxury dad

RRP $91.95

Here are just a few great ideas to get you started on your Father’s Day shopping. Stop the predictable gifts and give him something that will WOW!

My Dad is notoriously difficult to buy for. He’s not corporate/office, doesn’t wear formal shirts or ties, cares not for socks and jocks, isn’t techy, nerdy, sporty, gardeny, fashionable, has a full beard so no grooming products, he enjoys cars and motorbikes but in a very specific non-merchandisey way (so no Ford/Holden/Harley-Davidson stuff). Pretty much every gift I’ve got for him over the last few years is vintage garage memorabilia for his workshop and that seems to be well received. He doesn’t even like chocolate!!!

Husband on the other hand, easy as. Any number of things I could get with limited effort.

Oh my gosh that would be tough. My husband is VERY car specific but also not merchandise OR memorabilia!! Usually 4x4ing type things but certain stuff. Grrr pain staking!
