Gelato ~ The Perfect Summer Food

I love Summer!

I love the heat, the BBQs, the kids playing in the sprinkler or wetting each other with water pistols. The smell of rain coming over late in the afternoon following a scorcher day is hard to beat. But something that no one (in our family anyway) can go past on a hot day is ice cream! I love ice cream, gelato, ice blocks, icy cups, the list could go on forever with the list of frozen goodness.

 

I received an email a couple of weeks ago asking if I’d be interested in trying mini gelato cups and as you would expect I jumped at the chance! They are from the Perfection Food Group and I must say they definitely didn’t disappoint. They are pretty damn close to perfection.

 

The flavours include:Chocolate, strawberry, caramel, vanilla & banana. I really enjoyed the chocolate and vanilla while caramel and banana was popular with my husband. The kids loved every flavour as kids do. The serving sizes are perfect for the kiddies as is the fact they are approved as an Amber product by Healthy Kids. All 5 flavours are low fat and gluten free.

 

Perfection foods have so much to offer and if the rest of their products are as delicious as these Mini Gelato Cups than I will soon be a regular buyer of their products.

Sipahh Yourself A New Flavour + Giveaway

Frustration & Delay Need Not Apply

Well a big congratulations goes to Telstra for yet again stuffing another customer around! YAY YOU GUYS!!

 

I rang and organised my phone and internet transfer a week prior to moving and was informed we would have the landline on the 8th February and the internet the following day. Well guess what? I received a phone call (on my mobile obviously) informing me that there were some problems and now the landline won’t be connected until the 19thFebruary oh yeah and we cannot have the internet at this stage. 

 

But wait it gets better! I asked them why I could have it 2 weeks ago at the new address and why now I suddenly can’t and there answer is simply – “There are no available ports”. That’s it! I asked when we will be able to get our internet back and they couldn’t give me an answer, they have no idea whether it will be a month, 2 months, 6 months or a year! We basically have to wait for someone to disconnect their internet (and hope we are at the top of the waiting list) before we will get it again.

 

I am beyond shit off!! I could understand if they told me when I first rang to organise it but no they ran their checks and everything was good to go.

 

OK now that I have gotten that frustration out of my system; I would like to apologise for the delay in my return (I know you have all been missing me terribly!) and let you all know that I will be posting more regularly now as I have remembered that I can use my mobile phone data as a tether/wireless hotspot for my laptop. While this is not 100% ideal it will get the job done and enable me to reply to emails, messages, continue to post, bring you more reviews and giveaways and of course announce the winners of the Palmolive & Personal Planner giveaways!!

Busy Packing and Moving

How is everyone going this Monday morning? I am more than likely busy packing and unpacking. Why? Well because we picked up the keys to our brand new home on Friday! It has been a long 10 months of extremely tight budgets as we have been paying rent as well as paying the mortgage for our house while it is being constructed. We have endured stressful moments, builders and what seems like a lifetime of waiting. But the wait is over – we have now got our keys! We finally have our own home.

As you can imagine we will be a little bit busy over the next few days trying to get settled in and as we will not have the internet connected until next week it may be a little quiet around here until then. Never fear though I will be back with a vengeance as soon as it is connected and ready to go!
