If your kids are anything like mine they are LEGO mad! They spend hours creating extravagant one of a kind masterpieces and unfortunately for my feet not so many hours picking it all back up when they are finished.
Having boys who have loved LEGO from a very young age I know that there are many positive learning experiences to gain. Everything from hand-eye co-ordination, colours, shapes all the way to just having fun.
You can imagine their excitement when I handed them 6 little packets of LEGO that contained exclusive Ferrari models! They were thrilled.
I can thank Shell and Ferrari for their mutual love and passion for performance and the hard work that went into creating these limited edition cars that have a pull-back motor. These little beauties can get some speed up too which is probably my favourite feature. My boys worked on putting these cars together like they were engineers, every piece and sticker had to be perfect and the time taken to appreciate the work required to complete them. It was pretty damn cute!
These Ferrari LEGO collectibles are available for purchase at Shell Coles Express sites across Australia. There will be a new model available each week for 6 weeks. These iconic vehicles includes:

Lego gets my little ones thinking about the whole idea behind construction including infrastructure and superstructure – they are little Lego engineers!
I LOVE that when you step on lego, it hurts more than anything you’ve ever known and puts your whole day into perspective.
I love how lego is a very open ended toy. Yes you get instructions on how to make a particular item but then you can knock it down and rebuild it with your own little additions and personalisations, exactly what my boys do.
It’s a guilty pleasure that doesn’t make me gain weight 😉

My son is autistic & Lego is one of the only activities that he enjoys & captures his attention for a decent amount of time.Its also good for improving his fine motor skills.

As boys we to make these weird looking cars or vehicules and ram them together from across the room.Then we would see who had lost the most lego pieces.Then we would declare the winner and start buidling again.hours and hours of fun.
When the Lego’s out and the Kiddies are being creative is the only time when they aren’t asking to watch TV as they are too busy

We use to take out our big red box of lego in the school holidays and set up our Lego City around a game of monopoly.. now my children are growing up I can not wait to start the tradition with them!
What I love about Lego is the vast range of theme it has. When I’m bored of LOTR, I can pick up Ninjago and be equally entertained. I can even mix and match and create my own theme. Hulk beating the Orcs? That’s super awesome

It’s an easy gift for a 5 or 6 year old boy. And since we are going to parties every other weekend I have a small collection of kits and we give one every time.
I love that they are constantly releasing new designs, keeping it fresh and interesting.
I love LEGO just as much as the kids. Yes, it might be a little expensive to buy but it is certainly worth the $$$. It’s durable, mostly unisex, encourages creativity, is FUN for little ones to play with (as well as not so little ones – like me!). It’s a wonderful item to use as incentive to get the kids to do jobs around the house i.e ‘Do your homework or no playing with your Lego…’ or ‘Clean your room or I will vacuum up everything on the floor…including your much loved LEGO!’ (not that I ever would – it’s too expensive to throw away).
But mostly I love Lego as it encourages my children to play nicely together and keeps them entertained without the need for a TV, iPad or computer game and allows me to get things done!
i love the reputation leggo has as its been around so long now and people have kept collecting and buying it because its value for money and it lasts a life time
My 9 year old just hates going to school and wants to play with his cars and Lego all day. At every opportunity at school he takes his matchbox cars to play with in the dirt (I stopped at allowing him to take Lego after loosing the pieces one by way, and having to deal with tears after school). Asking him what he’d like to be when he grows up, he answers “Drive a Kenworth truck, with 10 inch monster stacks, chrome wheels, and a custom paint job”.
So cars and trucks are in his blood. Please send this prize to satisfy his indoors play hunger for Lego and cars – this is the perfect combination that dreams are made of.

I love that it is the easiest gift for anyone, always the quick and simple solution when needing to buy a present.
The hours of enjoyment and creative pleasures it brings to my three children. The prospect of new creations around every corner. They learn to share, praise each other, relate to one another.
But dudar!! Night time looms and from my half dreamy prospective when I’m awoken by little cries during the night – my views change:-

Who doesn’t love Lego? It’s stood the test of time and come through with flying colours. It’s easy (and fun!!) for parents to play with too, it makes an easy gift idea for many age groups, including my 30+ aged husband!!!
