Veep Season 2 Review + Giveaway
Anyone who knows me personally will tell you I am a TV series junkie. I love discovering new shows and last week I was introduced to another comedy; the hit TV Series, Veep.
For those who aren’t familiar with it; leading lady Julia Louis-Dreyfus (known for her characters in Seinfeld, The New Adventures of Old Christine and now of course Veep) plays Vice President Selina Meyer. While it is a political based show, it is nothing like you would expect. Personal issues, government dramas, personality clashes and uproarious quotes make Veep a must watch TV Series.

My initial thoughts when I read it was about politicians was ‘Snooze-fest, not sure this is not for me’, however after watching just one episode of Veep season 2 I was hooked. To be completely honest I enjoyed a Veep marathon to catch up on what I had been missing out on, I started at season 1 and didn’t stop until I had finished.
It is hilarious watching the VP try to improve her popularity and boost her influence while her staff {Tony Hale – Arrested Development, Anna Chlumsky – In The Loop, Matt Walsh – Hung, Reid Scott – My Boys, Timothy Simons – Days Together and Sufe Bradshaw – Overnight} (some of which are not the sharpest tool in the shed) are right by her side in an attempt to assist. Veep is full of dry, wet-your-pants humour (which is often crass from the mouth of the VP) and I absolutely love it!!
In Season 2 of Veep, Meyer overtakes the President in the popularity polls and is expectantly thrilled with the results. In her efforts and best intentions to maintain her influence something always seems to go disastrously wrong. It always starts out as a slip of the tongue or something mundane but inevitably sets off a chain reaction of unexpected consequences. Selina Meyers has the mouth of a sailor and as she gets closer to the top job her ambition to reach this goal dominates her daughters discontent.

The hit TV Series Veep, will have you laughing out loud and wanting to know what happens next. A definite must watch for the comedy lover.

I am a sci fi freak and I watch many every week
things I cannot explain and give a workout for my brain
supernatural is my fave
the brothers are so brave
I am not fussed with the rest
Castiel I want to lie on your chest
Loveveep
The goodies because it is funny
Grimm – so fanciful and full of so many fairy tail creatures and a great main cast
Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. As a child Sigmund helped me to grow, every Saturday morning I would tune in JUST to hear Sigmund answer the seashell phone in his hidden cave and say, “Shello”.
: )
My worst household chores is washing dishes! I would rather listen to a radio talk back show (in a language I don’t even speak) while plucking my armpit hair, than press metal to cloth! Nevertheless these chores have to be done!
When it comes to washing dishes I can only manage it in small bursts or I lose the will to live! Ha, ha! I set up chair and a portable TV next to the sink. I then settle down on the chair to watch my weekly dose of “Bold and the Beautiful” which I have recorded. I wash one or two things every ad break and then settle back on the chair in between ads for my next instalment of what my husband calls “brothel TV”! This makes washing up just bearable!
Adding a little spark or “Bold and the Beautiful” to the things you dislike doing can make them just that little bit more enjoyable!
No one ever lost money creating a television series for dumb laughs. That dictate seems to have inhabited our screens for decades. So, as science graduate, I was delighted that people were brave enough to put a bunch of physicists on TV in The Big Bang Theory. And not dumb-down the language. And create superb comedy and characters. It’s clever. I love that.
New Girl is my favourite comedy – Each and every character hilarious in their own way
Law and Order, I love the characters and how they solve the cases and prosecute for the good of all
Everybody Loves Raymond…have watched every episode many times over but the funny, horror, insanity, love, Cray Cray of family makes me belly laugh every time!
