Do you suffer from tired and itchy eyes, headaches and other general eye strain symptoms? It could be a result of blue light from your computer and digital devices.
Good news, it doesn’t have to be this way. The answer could be as simple as blue light filter glasses. Read this to find out more!
Blue light filter – protect your eyes
I remember when I was a child we had a blue light filter over our computer screen. I always laughed at how silly it looked and eventually as we upgraded computers and grew up it was never thought of again.
Fast forward a couple of decades and I’m now spending a minimum of eight hours a day staring at a computer screen. Unfortunately, over the past twelve months in particular, I have noticed my eyes are becoming sorer and more strained. This could partly be aging eyes but the main culprit is my computer screen, well that and my phone. Technology plays a huge part in our lives whether we like it or not and we need to start thinking about the side effects this could be having on our health. Not just the exercise concerns that everyone already talks about, I also mean our eyes. Those old school blue light filter screens, they were there for a reason!
Baxter Blue glasses review
I can only imagine Facebook overheard me telling my husband how sore my eyes have been recently and shared an ad for Baxter Blue glasses. These are non-prescription blue light blocking glasses. My interest was piqued. Was I sceptical? Absolutely. But also a little bit hopeful these could actually help, so I reached out to Baxter Blue to do a review.
I chose a pair of Baxter Blue glasses for myself (style: Wells) and another set for my boys (style: Addison crystal), similar in style to the prescription glasses we have already. They arrived very promptly and come in a protective glasses case for safe storage.
You can check out the adult styles and kids range here.
Baxter Blue glasses – first thoughts
- These are very lightweight
- Good quality
- Stylish
- Comfortable to wear
Baxter Blue glasses – do they work?
- Day 1 – After wearing the blue light blocking glasses for a day I thought I noticed a little bit of a difference but still sceptical, it could have just been in my head that the glasses were making a difference. Or maybe I had just slept better, who knows.
- Day 2 – I put the glasses on at the start of my working day and my eyes were definitely not as strained by the time I finished that afternoon.
- Day 3 – They are working!! There was no doubt left in my mind that by day three of wearing the blue light filter glasses my eyes had relaxed and they weren’t sore at all.
- Day 7 – Let’s skip a few days and talk about a week of using these. Day seven saw me in front of my computer for approx. 10 hours and normally I’d be rubbing my eyes trying to add some moisture back to them, they’d be itchy and tired. On this day and pretty much every day since my eye strain has been reduced dramatically and sore eyes appear to be a thing of the past. For all you sceptics out there, THESE WORK!!
Blue Light reduction glasses
If you or your child spends time in front of digital devices, for work or play, in addition to taking regular breaks from the screen I recommend you consider getting a pair of these glasses. Even my 12 year old son has noticed a difference!
Baxter Blue glasses are designed to alleviate digital eye strain and filter out the harmful blue violet light caused by digital screens. This means no more dry, sore, itchy eyes, blurred vision, headaches or fatigue caused by spending too long in front of a screen.

Oh wow I was just talking to hubby about finding one of those old school filters for our computer! I find my eyes are very sensitive nowadays, working on the computer I need to give my eyes frequent breaks so that I don’t get focal migraines. These glasses are not only functional but also super cute – I’ve always secretly wanted to wear glasses! I’d love to try these out and see if they can help me as much as they have helped you – such a positive review! Also how cool is the pair for pair program, love seeing companies give back!
I’m finding I’m not sleeping very well after using the computer or the phone to catch up on emails and correspondence and these would help tremendously.
I spend a lot of time in front of the computer and my eyes get tired, itchy and I get headaches. I usually just get up and do something else for a while. I’d be a lot more productive with my work using the Baxter Blue glasses.
Would love the chance to try these glasses out as we all spend too much time on our electronic devices.
I sit in front of a computer nearly all day every day and put a lot of strain on my eyes. I would like to try Baxters Blue glasses to see if they help stop my eyes from being sore, itchy, watery and see if I get less headaches from less stain on my eyes.
I’d love to win a pair for me and a pair for my grandchild. How awesome to have matching glasses.
I’ve just started back at work full time and I’m really feeling it! These glasses would be amazing!
I have noticed a dramatic increase in headaches & obvious eye strain from screen time. I have even gone from using my mobile to trying the iPad to help. These glasses sound like a defect solution to what I’m sure will become an epidemic (if not already) Great idea xx
I have MS and think the glasses would really help with the eye strain I have from computer use.
These are such a great idea i need a pair for the whole family….
I spend a lot of time on my computer….and I also read books a lot…..I know when I do these days and I have no doubt of the good I would receive by having these glasses….fingers crossed….hopefully not eyes crossed
It’s getting worse as too many hours in the day are spent on the computer and other devices , these glasses will at least help and limit the headaches and sore eyes.
I spend a lot of time on my devices and my eyes don’t like it at all!
I spend a lot of time staring at a screen so these would be ideal to help prevent headaches.
I didn’t even know that these glasses existed …WOW! They do everything that I need. I work long hours on the computer and suffer with awful eye strain and headaches, These glasses could be just the answer.
I am fining myself squinting at screens these day and headaches I wonder weather these would be great for me
No more getting goggley eyed and headachey when glued to a device for a little too long.
In the hope I won’t have to, don’t have to actually get reading glasses, that it’s screens giving me grief, not indeed my eyes. Worth a shot.
Removing eye strain, as great as that is for ones vision, I think stopping squinting will help with wrinkles too……don’t you!?!
What a wonderful useful giveaway. With technology being a major part of everyone’s life, young and old alike, these baxter blue glasses would be a blessed relief for everyone. They should be an essential part of work place PPE and they should be on school children’s ‘Back to School’ lists.
Between finishing essays and doing research, I’ve found my self weary eyed by mid morning so I would love to see the difference with these glasses
As I suffer from Chronic Migraines I’d love to try these to see if they reduce, prevent any.
My daughter was just trying to explain these glasses to me last night. As soon as I read ‘light filter over our computer screen’ (Which I do remember having years ago), I got the idea behind the glasses. Thank you!
well i am skeptical also but i would love to try them and see if they help my tired scratchy eyes which seem to be getting worse. I cannot seem to sit for long periods on the computer like i used to, but still need to so this would be amazing to try especially when i use the computer at night.
As i have a lot of eye problems they have detoriated even through several operations, and now its a nightmare to see to cross the road so would help me cross safely
My daughter has been suffering with migraines after looking at screens at school so think it would be a great benefit for her. I work in front of computers all day so would probably also benefit. It would be awesome if they invented some hidden technology which would make the work side more entertaining ?
Matching lens, matching frames, while son and I play computer games. Watery eyes and thumping heads no longer there when we go to bed.
In today’s day in age, everyone is glued to their devices – playing games, talking to their friends, going on social media – smartphones have now turned into more than that. I know that we can’t stop this, but to have some relief from tired eyes and migraines, this would be a game changer!
Great for winding down, and looking sexy!
Six adult members of my close family work daily with computers – or are computer “Nerds” ….. then there are all the computer ‘savvy ‘ and somewhat addicted little ones… We need BLUE LIGHT FILTER glasses to reduce glare and eyestrain
Im always on my ipad phone or desktop these would make my life so much easier
