Sun damage is our biggest concern. Babies skin is so fragile and it’s really important to remember this all year round, but summer is paramount.
I’m concerned about keeping the hot sun off the face of my newborn and also making sure I apply enough sunscreen and that my little girl leaves her hat on when she is playing.
Overheating and sunburn! My little girl sweats like a man, but luckily she doesn’t burn too easily but I still worry about too much sun on her soft skin.
Sunburn, to the point of painful blisters that can scar. I suffered it many times as a kid and don’t want the same for mine.
Being fancy free and shoeless, and stepping on a bee!! The kids and I are allergic so have to be super careful in Summer when they’re busy buzzing around in the garden and on the lawn collecting pollen.
Summertime bites and stings can really throw a spanner in things, its important for me to take action to prevent nasty allergies and bad reactions.
Sunburn is my biggest fear for the baby. I am constantly applying sunscreen and he does not love it!
I’ve a persistent skin cancer so THE SUN IS A DANGER and A PAIN
I’d much prefer a place where there was persistent rain
but the kids love the beach, the warmth and the summer
Just keep the babies covered, the only advice from this mama!
Stollerbuddy your welcome to stay on my pram anytime you like, I’ll take you to the theme parks. Brilliant love this invention.
The Heat…..sunburn & dehydration needs to be carefully watched & try to be prevented.
Babies need so much stuff hey?!! These products look really useful. You must be due soon? All the best for your new bubby and yourself! You will love having four kids! The more, the merrier I say! X
Summer brings the sun and heat,
But outdoor life cannot be beat,
So protecting little ones from heat and sun,
Becomes my summer number one,
Sunscreen, keeping hydrated and shade,
Plus time indoors at the hottest time of day!
Availability of water in a bottle. Because of their size, babies and children dehydrate quicker during summer than adults.
Living in Darwin, I’d have to say the heat! Dehydration, sunburn and heat stroke are my biggest worries with the kids.
Being very careful around water! It only takes a moment for a child to get into trouble.
people leaving kids in the hot car
Overheated and sunburn, dehydrated so I always carry plenty of water and sunscreen.
Sunburn since it gets so hot through summer.
Dehydration. Bub is old enough to be dropping a milk feed, but she prefers to spit out the water from her sippy cup rather than drink it. She thinks it is a fabulous game! (Sigh – maybe I should think of it as a technique for cooling down…)
Definatley trying to keep Bub cool and keep her fluids up and never be in a parked car for too long
I always worry about overheating the change in the weather brings new challenges!
Sun damage, I try and make sure we have cover wherever we go but sometimes it’s not an easy thing to do!
Sunburn and dehydration…sunburn shows up very quickly and you know what the pain on little ones can be like, dehydration can sneak up on you but can be very serious to anyones health when its very hot.
Sun burn is my greatest concern as it can lead to heat stroke and dehydration also
