Friday nights look a lot different than they did pre-kids. These days life is a lot tamer. Take tonight for example, we will be enjoying a family night in to watch Ferdinand. We missed it when it came to cinemas and after seeing the trailers for the film, I cannot wait to watch it now that it has been released on DVD.
Ferdinand Synopsis
Just in case you have been living under a rock and haven’t heard of Ferdinand, Ferdinand is a giant bull with an even bigger heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast and torn from his home, he rallies a misfit team of friends for the ultimate adventure to return to his family. The film is based on the classic children’s book written by Munro Leaf in 1936. Ferdinand proves you can’t judge a bull by its cover!
If you kids are anything like mine, they will love the special features on DVDs.

Ferdinand movie night
We are making the most of our family night by turning it into a full-blown fun hub for the kids. The mattresses moved out to the living room for a sleep out, snacks aplenty and more fun activities than we can possibly fit into the night. Plus a few other hilarious and feel good animated movies.
We made these plants in a can yesterday so now we wait 15-21 days for something to happen. Full disclosure, I am where plants go to die so the survival and success of this activity lies solely on the kids. Stay tuned for progress.
Ready for family fun
It has been raining (and some flooding) in our area for a few days now so we have ensured we are stocked up on all our supplies for the weekend and more importantly our family night in tonight.
