ABC Kids DVD Giveaway
October has seen some great DVD releases for kids from ABC. We have been enjoying two shows in particular; The Furchester Hotel and Boj: Boj & The Booms.
What are they about?

The Furchester Hotel
The Furchester Hotel is a series for 3-6 year olds set in an ‘almost’ world-class hotel run by a close-knit family of cheerfully chaotic monsters. (My daughter likes to refer to them all as Elmo or monkeys). The series, which is designed to encourage creative problem-solving, introduces brand new characters and also welcomes the beloved Elmo and Cookie Monster from Sesame Street.
As guests arrive at the hotel, they are greeted by monster owner Funella Furchester, her loving husband, Furgus Fuzz, and their daughter, the unflappable Phoebe Furcheste-Fuzz. Elmo, Phoebe’s cousin and Cookie Monster join the Furchester family at the hotel. Completing the ensemble is Isabel, a furry bell monster – guests won’t get any attention until she dings to announce their arrival!
Released: 7th October 2015 * Demographic: Preschool * RRP: $14.95

Boj: Boj & The Booms
When Boj the bilby pops up in Giggly Park to play with his new buddies he brings all his fun Boj-ey ways with him! Boj loves to help his friends and neighbours with brilliant Boj-a-boom ideas to make stuff from other stuff. In the title episodes, Boj and his buddies form a pop band. When Rupa and Mia walk out due to musical differences Boj needs a Boj-a-boom idea for something they can all play together.
Released: 7th October 2015 * Demographic: Preschool * RRP: $14.95

Elmo has always served me well. I first fell for him in year eight of highschool, and everyone thought of me when they thought elmo. Elmos world is the best! I had three tickle me elmos at one stage
Ooh ooh ooh pick me!
My favourite character is the long since retired Barkley. I always thought that big orange ball of energy would be a heck of a fun friend.
My favourite current character though is Bert… I think I saw a few similarities between myself and him, with his weird obsessions and preference of being alone. Ain’t got no time for Ernie’s games and weird dreamscapes.
Big Bird he is always so chill out and super friendly plus he has an adorable teddy !

Congrats! You have won.
my favourite is cookie monster because he gets to eat all the cookies
Elmo so adorably cute , my favourite from when I was a kid.
I love Elmo. My daughter was young when Elmo first was introduced. So cute and I love the little Elmo voice!
I love big Bird! He’s a big friendly bird who doesn’t let anything or anyone break his stride.
Oscar, he’s not a grouch he’s merely misunderstood.

Congrats! You have won.
Awesome, thank you 🙂
Mr. Snuffleupagus – when I was little I so desperately wanted him to be my best friend so I could give him a cuddle. Now I’m an adult, I’d still love to give him a cuddle 😉
oscar the grouch! just like me some mornings hahaha
Elmo who dosent love this little fellow I know I do
The Count as my hubby uses him when teaching the kids numbers. He does the best impression of him and the kids love it. So they have fun and learn at the same time.
Oscar. I am also a self confessed grouch plus messy enough to share his garbage bin! I laugh louder than the kids! He is hilarious!
my 3 year old loves her muppets they are such fun puppets! Boj I hear your theme song playing and my couch fills up there is no more room for laying!
Big Bird..always a favourite in our house
When he sings his favourite songs
Bert and Ernie! Growing up I assumed the role of Ernie while my sister was Bert; at times they were like chalk and cheese but they ALWAYS looked after each others back.
Cookie Monster… I had flannel PJ’s with great big Cookie Monster heads on them all over for my 1st bub’s birth and while feeding him he would stare into Cookies eyes like he was hypnotised.
Love Oscar. He makes me feel less guilty about being grouchy. No-one is perfect.
Big Bird, the iconic face of sesame street, always helpful and inclusive of everyone, including Oscar.
I love the Cookie monster
Ernie, he cracks me up, I don’t think the show would survive with this cheeky puppet!
Big Bird, I love that he’s friendly to everyone and doesn’t pretend to know everything.
Showing my age, but I totally adored Mr Hooper, and I was devastated when he passed away. He was funny, and his frustration at Big Bird’s mispronunciation of his name was hilarious.
That would have to be Ernie, he can always put a smile on someone’s face with his chuckles.
Bert and Ernie…proof that good friends can get along, sometimes annoy each other, make up and learn together. Great role models for young kids.
