Unicorns Don’t Grow On Trees | Mummy Mondays

Yesterday, my daughter Haddie turned four. I cannot believe that she is growing up so fast.

I mean, obviously I know because she is in preschool but… four!

Like all children, they make requests for birthday presents and hope that you get the latest and greatest toy on the market. That would be easy! But no. My daughter decided she wants to be a little different. She wanted something that no one else has.

A ‘real life’ unicorn. You know, as to not be mistaken by one that is not alive. Needless to say, that wish has gone unfulfilled. And thankfully she was a great sport about it and loved everything that she received. She was in her element.

What I believe she thinks life would be like with a unicorn.

Unfortunately she received some birthday money from family and has asked to go and BUY A UNICORN! Has anyone got any ideas where I may be able to find this highly desirable mythical creature? Real or not.

At bare minimum this unicorn is going to have movable body parts. Better yet, have a magical horn that sparkles and lights up – you know like a real one. The pressure is on and I’m no closer in my hunt to tracking the mythological flying unicorn. At this point, she will be getting a stuffed toy with a torch strapped to its head.

If you have spotted a unicorn in your travels, while out buying groceries… send it my way!

Happy 4th Birthday to your beautiful daughter! They grow up so fast don’t they?!

There is a gorgeous unicorn on the market for kids and it is quite big and moves! It’s from that range of moveable toys Furreal. My hairdresser has one and it’s gorgeous! I am looking for it for my little girl too!

Four is the best age. I loved it when our grandkids were four because ‘anything’ seemed possible. I am sure a unicorn of some kind will be found to give her a wonderful birthday present!

Ha ha – at least get one of those head lamp lights to strap to a stuffed one’s head – easier to attach than a torch 😉

Why dont they just ask for a doll!? Or a ball and bat like in the old Christmas songs.

Aww, happy birthday to your daughter! 🙂

I’ve seen some really expensive horses you brush and they neigh and things – maybe win the lottery and get one of them and stick a horn on it’s head? haha! Sorry for my less than helpful suggestion!

    Thanks for the link up!

haha that’s some great uniqueness she has – don’t go for the small thing, go big. Love it.

Good luck with that!! Why do Kids always give us the impossible tasks!

Happy Birthday to your princess!! You could always get her an ‘adoption certificate’ for a unicorn, with a photo and an explanation that unicorns can’t live here because of the climate, so she does have one, just in the magical land far, far away! It could even visit her in her dreams!! 🙂

Plus, there could be a soft toy unicorn accompanying that ‘adoption certificate’ – every time she gives the soft toy a kiss, the real unicorn’s (you know, the one’s she owns in a far, far away magical land) horn sparkles! Or something! 😂😄❤️

We just went to a Rodeo and my daughter was asking where the unicorns were!
