Show Up The Kids – Scooter Like You Are One!
With young, very active kids it means that my husband and I have to do our fair share of racing around, bike riding and more recently, scootering!
Up until recently I hadn’t ridden a scooter since I was kid and even after all these years, it is just as much fun as it was back then. We have hit the pavement around the estate with the kids, raced around the local park and even rolled along the beach esplanade down to the Newcastle breakwall.
The search for an adult scooter
We have looked high and low for a decent adult scooter so we can get involved with the kids. And before now we have been very disappointed in not only the quality but also practicality of so many scooters on the market. Typically they have narrow bases, small wheels and average handlebars.
When offered the opportunity to review the Globber 18.0 by Kleefer, I couldn’t say no. To be honest, I was like a kid in a candy shop when it arrived. Christmas had come early! What I love most about this adult’s scooter is that it is designed for adults, you don’t have to have teeny tiny feet and feel every bump on the pavement.
Other great features include:
• Available in 3 colours – Black, white and blue.
• Quick and simple folding feature.
• Wide and low deck.
• Adjustable handlebar – this is a must because both my husband and I use it and our heights differ dramatically.
• The brakes are easy to use and designed to provide better braking without wearing the wheel.
• High quality parts – strong and durable frame.
• Large wheels – 180mm wheels with nylon cores, mounted on ABEC 7 bearing.
• Designed for adults!
• Max. capacity 100kg.

All opinions are my own.
Favourite outdoor activity would be swimming in our pool with the kids. We love spending time out there relaxing.
Our favourite outdoor activity is a day at the park – we take a picnic, the kids take their bikes and scooters, and we spend three or four hours just mucking about. I’d love to be able to join in on their scooter action!!
These look like fun!! I might be able to keep up with the kids on their bikes!
Bushwalking. We love going out on a nice day as a family and doing some bushwalking and seeing what exciting creatures and plants we find. It’s a real adventure.
Waking on the beach! Nice scenery, gentle breeze, always see something different, relaxing !
We love going for bush walks. It is great to be out and about with nature.
We need this at my house… a street full of little kids scooting around and parents chasing them on the street up and down!
Bike riding, bush walking or swimming with the kids. It a hard choice cause there are all awesome fun.
Riding my bike with the kids, love the freedom of a bike, good exercise but not too much hard work, cannot beat the wind in your hair and fresh air.
As you asked ‘favourite outdoor activity’ not specifying if it had to be child friendly or not, I love nothing more that getting our gear off and going for a skinny dip late at night with my sexy wife…….while the kids are tucked up in bed, fast asleep in the land of nod that is 😉
Oh my goodness, these days’ it’s hide and seek. The kids go hide, I pretend to seek, or at least extend the seek side of things, to stop the ‘why’, ‘how come Mummy’ and general being my super loving, adoring, but highly annoying little shadows. If you don’t get it, you’re clearly not a Mum!!!
Favourite outdoor activity is visiting the dogs at the shelter and taking them for a walk with my kids. They get sooo excited and almost take ME for a walk, especially the big ones (the dogs, not the kids!)… maybe if I had an adult scooter I could keep up with them – the dogs AND the kids!
Our family fishing adventures are our fave outdoor activity. Everyone joins in….but I spend more time untangling lines.
I love bushwalking with my kids through beautiful landscapes.
I love the beach and when I can see it from my balcony, its enough of a tease to get me there almost every day.
Our favourite family activity is water skiing – the whole family has hours of fun in the sun!
Going exploring with my kids
At the beach or in the Perth hills
Finding treasures as we go
It gives my boys lots of thrills
To now go exploring
On my new Globber Scooter
Would have me giggling with fun
(does it come with a hooter?)
I love squishing, plopping, squelching and dripping with my toddler as we create delectable jelly masterpieces with sprinkles, fruit, choc drops and the occasional stick or rock! Wonderful memories and a lot of fun exploring new textures while being creative. Our jelly fun is always followed by a wash off in the pool and a warm hug wrapped snuggly in a towel!
my daughter would love this 🙂
I love the beach, fresh air, sunshine and a walk with the family is all I could ask for!
Favourite outdorr activity is bike riding to the local ice cream shop!
Favourite outdoor activity would have to be walking the dogs with the kids. Getting outdoors as well as exercising the dogs and letting the kids play on the playground at the park on our walk is the best way to spend and afteroon or weekend.
Wow this would be a great Xmas gift for my son
Blowing bubbles outside. The kids get so much fun from running amuck chasing after the bubbles. It sends them into hysterics trying to reach them before they burst and a few body clashes occur now and then, but all in the name of fun.
Picnics!
My daughter and I love a yummy treat,
Sandwiches or fruit, it doesn’t matter what we eat.
Setting up a cubby or going to the park,
We try to stay outside until it gets dark.
Walrus-bracing in Winter,/ Summer always blessed *cool*;/ to swimdive the waves/ is my fave outdoor skill;/ o’erflowing with gold beaches/ for which others would KILL!
My favorite outdoor activity is cricket on the front lawn with my kids. We can play with just 2 of us or the whole family on the weekend. The dog even joins in sometimes as a fielder 🙂
Love to bounce and fly so high,
we take turn being silly in the sky,
they adore when mum has a go,
trampoline is our outdoor place to go.
Rolling on wheels, whether it be,
a scooter, bike or skates, it’s rolling for me.
The free feeling of coasting along,
The breeze whipping past, birds singing a song.
Rolling in parks and on the school run,
Scooting would make it so much more fun.
Simply lounging around outside listening to the wildlife and soaking up some rays.
My favourite outdoor activity at the moment is metal detecting with my kids. We bought a second hand one and go out into the bush along the river to try and find some ‘treasures’. My kids love it, we’ve found some old coins, a ring and lots of junk. We haven’t done it for a while as our region was flooded, but the water has retreated now so we will have to get back into it again.
Reading a book under a shady tree 🙂
Family walks with our mastiff. We love having the opportunity to bond plus get exercise
Well this is completely inconsistent with scooter riding BUT, thinking about my favorite outdoor activity I love gardening. There is nothing more satisfying than picking flowers from my garden or home grown fresh produce (particularly in summer). Another benefit is there is a good excuse to run under the sprinklers or squirt a hose at someone (which of couse was aimed at the garden) activities which like scooter riding remain just as fun as they were when you were a child well into adulthood.
My favourite is roller skating outside ?. It’s the best feeling
I love walking in both city and country settings, as to enjoy either you must understand both (a bit of balance or yin yang). My best walks incorporate both as I live near walking trails that are within walking distance.
Roller skating on a half pipe at skate park. As a roller derby girl, I love seeing the kids surprised and in faces when they spot the rare occurrence of a roller skater, let alone a middle aged female one!
I really enjoy playing ‘Follow the Leader’ while outdoors with the kids.
The kids love to lead, getting me bending, then stretching, star jumping and hopping,
Sometimes there is even an obstacle course to navigate to test my skills of balance!
It’s a great way to explore in the outdoors, exercise and is engaging to the whole family from Little Miss 1 to Poppy at 60+!
It’s challenging and imitating some of the kid’s wacky movements is hilariously funny which makes great memories to forever relish.
Since a recent seaside holiday, snorkelling! What a brilliant, colourful and busy underwater world is revealed, and how delightful that the inhabitants take no notice of human intruders.
bush walking exploring adventures with my kids we dont have alot of money being a big family so we make our own fun and our bush walk exploring is always fun and it tires out the little ones
I love walking down to the park with my kids, they ride their Scooters while I walk. The only thing better would be having a Scooter of my own to ride! I didn’t know they made them for adults!
My favourite outdoor activity is playing with the kids on the slip and slide. It makes me feel like a kid again and they love it
Agree with the kids, I must confide
Staying cool on a slip’n’slide,
Backyard fun, laughter galore,
Add Icypoles, who could ask for more?
Walking along the Great North Walk, kids ride/scooter and hubby I usually walk. Beautiful spot, sometimes we see dolphins and stop for an ice cream on the way back
Love bush walking with my little gang.
We’ve been lost, bitten, cut and scratched, but can’t wait to do it again!
Discovering new insects, wildflowers, streams and more.
It’s always an epic adventure that’s for sure!
Thanks for the chance to win this ultra cool scooter, I’ll be envy of all the mums and dads on my street!
I like to get out and have fun with the kids whether that be walking down the park or going to our local pool for a swim.
Walking the dog. Relaxing for me, exciting for him, it’s a win-win event!
Am always looking for ways to keep up with the kids, love this scooter.
Jumping on the kid’s trampoline when they are at school!!!!!!!! I managed to climb in and took a few ‘baby’ jumps and then I was hooked!!! I forgot how much fun it really was and now it is my favourite outdoor activity!!!!! 🙂
Scenic walking. Leaving the car at the car park, strolling off in any direction and discovering new sights along the way while fresh air fills my lungs and the exercise happens without me really even noticing it.
I love to get back to nature with a bushwalk with the whole family. The kids love discovering rocks to climb and pointing out birds we don’t see in the backyard. We bike paths near us that go through bushland. In the past the kids have taken scooters or bikes but I’ve had to run to keep up! This scooter would allow me to feel the breeze on my face as I casually cruise along with my kids, not behind… running… sides aching… with sweat in my eyes!
I was bored with my so-called mundane life, but then I got pleurisy, so now I want that mundane back!
Swimming in summer to keep me cool and anything physical in winter to beat the cool, I’m an outdoorsy fool!
Walking – exploring the city, country, bush or beach. While slow it is enjoyable, relaxing, free, easy and healthy. With no car it is also my primary mode of transport.
Backyard cricket; A family tradition that all can play no matter how young or how old.
Big backyard or small backyard it doesn’t matter….. As long as the neighbours throw back the ball : -)
Pretending to watch the kids play outside, but really having a cheeky snooze on my hammock.
Camping can involve so many outdoor activities, it is the hub of our outdoor lifestyle, and our family’s well being.
Its a bit of a secret but truth is I love going to our local park as much as the kids.
Taking turns on the slides, swings and monkey bars with them brings out my fun side and in the moment I become a kid again!
Our favorite outdoor activity can vary, sometimes we love water fights and swimming, other times it’s walks/skateboarding around the neighborhood you can bet which ever activity we are doing is always filled with laughter, that’s the most important activity of all.
Picnics with my kids
Dandelion’ s were once a pest!
Putting this mummy’s patience to the test!
Once seen as a tedious chore,
NOW picking each one I just adore!
My daughter and I love to pluck!
In our button holes! Hairclips we creatively tuck!
Mother and daughter! Quality Time!
Without spending a single dime!
Garden chemicals we refuse to use!
Permitting vigorous grass to naturally produce!
Gardening is our outdoor activity that many unappreciate!
However it is quality time that this mummy just can’t wait!
i love swimming at the beach gets me outside and doing my least favourite thing which is exercise but always love it
swimming is always perfect for summer!
I love playing water balloons and running under the sprinkler with my kids.
Awesome, thorough review, thanks for letting me know about these 🙂
My kids and I love riding our bikes for miles along the beach bike track but a Globber 18.0 scooter takes this activity to a whole new level of fun!
Hanging with my kids at thte park.
I love to hide on the trampoline! The kids never look for me there… I bounce if I’m in the mood, or I sunbake (just a little with sunscreen… I am a responsible Mum…lol) Also, a great hideout away from the TV and the phone… A book, a can of something cold, and I’m set like a jelly!
Please don’t tell ‘them’ where I am!!!
Our favourite outdoor activity is surfing, but we also love snorkelling, kayaking, fishing and rowing. Anything that involves water!
Swimming <3
I adore going for a bike ride with the family, but secretly.. my all time favourite outdoor activity is a glass of wine on a warm summers night!
walking along the beach with the kids on sunset, is not only amazing but its good for the soul..
I loved my childhood scooter! So much fun. It Would be great to be outside riding along our nearby river
Jogging to keep fit – that way i’m in it for The Long Run!
Walking along the foreshore. I’d get further on a Globber
My favourite outdoor activity is camping and picnic at the beach with my boys!
You’re never too old for some fun in the sun on a blow-up water trampoline.
In 2014 I sold my car and discovered that my own two feet could get me far!
I’m 6kgs lighter, Yay!
Much fitter and my mind is clearer,
I’ve uncovered so much in my neighbourhood I never knew existed from hidden cafes to funky street art,
Pounding the pavements and the paths,
Walking everywhere is my forte’ and it’s something I really enjoy building into my day!
To scoot to the park , I’d keep up with the kids and for certain I would be fully lit .
Swimming, beach walking , farming, enjoying the company of our 17 grandkids!
It used to be horseriding but that’s kind of tricky with kids on your back so now beach walks rule!
I love going to the beach for a picnic and swim
staying there until the light is dim
when it’s too dark you just can’t stay
because that when the place in invaded by Stingrays
I’ve just discovered ping pong and it’s the most fun I’ve had in years, it’s relaxing and my kids love playing to!
Old fashion art of flying a kite wind in hair running laughing having a ball
I absolutely love a brisk bushwalk somewhere scenic but with the family I’ll settle for discovering a new ‘favourite’ playground.
Favourite activity is kicking the footy around the park with the kids
We as a family love Backyard cricket and a game footy, We go for walks with the dog and swimming at the local pool. Being a Queenslander life is always spent outdoors.
A family bike ride is always great, getting all the family involved and discovering new places around our beautiful suburb.
is it cheeky to say that lying on my hammock with a book is what i adore
it is outdoors so it has to count right ? (okay but there is other outdoor activities we for sure)
what i really really love is playing with my kids at the beach park where we have so much fun
as we get to swim, sand play, the kids scooter (i try and run/walk fast along side them lol) in the lovely sun
the beach park is where we can unwind and appreciate the simple things in life together
and have wonderful outdoor family time where memories are created that stay with us forever 🙂
